Vimergy Herbs - Propolis Pure 115ml
£41.00
Propolis is a precious and complex substance from nature that offers many benefits for our health, including support for the immune system, cardiovascular system, and oral health. It’s also rich in antioxidants. But it’s very difficult to find a clean and potent propolis product without added unwanted ingredients. Vimergy PropolisPure™ is in a league of its own. It gives you 1220mg of standardized propolis extract in every serving. And Vimergy PropolisPure is truly pure with just two ingredients: organic standardized propolis extract and organic flax glycerin! There are no problematic ingredients like so many other products contain–no alcohol, propylene glycol, poor quality glycerin, citric acid, natural or artificial flavors, or any others!
Product info
Propolis is a complex substance that honeybees produce with special enzymes, beeswax, and tree and plant secretions. The composition of propolis varies widely based on geographic region, local flora, season of the year, and bee variety. This makes it difficult to find a consistent form of propolis. Vimergy PropolisPure contains propolis sourced from a limited number of carefully screened beekeeping operations, and involves a unique purification process that results in an ingredient that consistently contains up to 50% polyphenols, including the six that are most bioactive: chrysin, galangin, pinocembrin, apigenin, pinobanksin, and quercetin. We are thrilled to offer you this truly clean and pure standardized propolis liquid extract.

About Propolis:
Propolis (bee glue) is a resinous mixture that honey bees produce by mixing their own enzymes and beeswax with sap and resin gathered from tree buds, sap flows, or other sources. Propolis is believed to be antibacterial, to prevent diseases and parasites from entering the hive and to inhibit fungal growth.
The composition of propolis varies from hive to hive and season to season. Normally, it is dark brown in colour. "Typical" northern temperate propolis has approximately 150 constituents, primarily resins and vegetable balsams (50%), waxes (30%), essential oils (10%), and pollen (5%). Propolis also contains persistent lipophilic acaricides, a natural pesticide that deters mite infestations. Other flavonoids commonly present include galangin and pinocembrin.
Propolis is being researched for the potential development of new drugs focusing on a variety of its properties, including those for possible immunomodulatory, anti-diabetic and anti-ulcer applications.
Storage: Before use, keep in a cool, dry place, not in direct sunlight.
COMPOSITION: vegetable soap base* (made of palm and coconut oil, water, glycerin, diacetate, salt and sodium glutamate - a natural amino acid derivative), Propol-mel propolis tincture* (1%), lavender essential oil*, virgin Arbequina olive oil* and sweet almond oil.

PROPOL-MEL - Propolis Tincture - 20ml
£11.99
Description
This tincture is concentrated, pure and organic propolis in a small dropper jar. The tincture is produced using a hydro alcoholic maceration of distilled grape alcohol, water and propolis. This method extracts and preserves most of the nutrients from the soluble parts of the propolis such as resins, balms, essential oils and phenols, while insoluble parts with the least nutrients, like beeswax, are filtered out.
About propolis
Bees make propolis by gathering resin from pine and other cone-producing evergreen trees. They blend the resin with wax flakes and pollen, and take it back to the hive. There they use the sticky mess to patch holes, seal cracks and build panels in the hive.
But propolis does more than architectural duty. It also acts as an antiseptic barrier protecting the hive from contamination and from external invaders like mice, snakes, and lizards. In fact, the name propolis comes from the Greek meaning "defense of the city." The antimicrobial properties of propolis protect the hive from viruses and bacteria. Researchers found that bees living in hives coated with propolis have lower bacteria in their body and also 'quieter' immune systems.
And propolis doesn't just benefit bees. For thousands of years folk medicine practitioners have used this bee glue to treat abscesses, heal wounds, and fight infection. In fact, propolis was listed as an official drug in the London pharmacopoeias of the 17th century.
Propolis has a wide range of antibacterial properties. Due to UK trading standards restrictions, we cannot make any specific health claims, but there are many websites where you can find more about propolis.
Usage: Up to 24 drops 1 to 3 times per day, diluted as desired in liquid.
Storage: Before use, keep in a cool, dry place, not in direct sunlight.

PROPOL-MEL - All-Natural Honey Throat Syrup with Certified Organic Propolis 250ml
£14.99
Description
This all-natural honey and propolis throat syrup combines a variety of organic ingredients to make this a highly antibacterial and delicious alternative to supermarket throat syrups. With honey as its primary ingredient, this syrup would already be antibacterial, but it is made much stronger thanks to the inclusion of propolis, elderberry juice, plant extracts, and essential oils.
The flavour is potent but smooth, unlike many harsher-tasting syrups. You can certainly taste and smell the propolis and essential oils
The texture is thinner than some other syrups, so we find it best to swallow it slowly to ensure it fully coats the throat. We've used it here in the office when we've struggled with sore throats, colds, catarrh, and congestion. Plus, we love that it's all-natural and uses lots of organic ingredients!
