Description This 100% natural and holistic propolis soap is wonderfully soothing and cleansing for all skin types, and has been specially formulated for sensitive skin, which requires special care (eg: acne, dermatitis, etc ...). Thanks to the amount of pure essential oil used, the soap has a soothing, calming aromatherapy effect on the mind and body. The beautiful aroma is simply the result of the natural ingredients and pure essential oils, complete with all their beneficial properties.  No artificial perfumes added. Size: 100g About Propolis: Propolis (bee glue) is a resinous mixture that honey bees produce by mixing their own enzymes and beeswax with sap and resin gathered from tree buds, sap flows, or other sources. Propolis is believed to be antibacterial, to prevent diseases and parasites from entering the hive and to inhibit fungal growth. The composition of propolis varies from hive to hive and season to season. Normally, it is dark brown in colour. "Typical" northern temperate propolis has approximately 150 constituents, primarily resins and vegetable balsams (50%), waxes (30%), essential oils (10%), and pollen (5%). Propolis also contains persistent lipophilic acaricides, a natural pesticide that deters mite infestations.  Other flavonoids commonly present include galangin and pinocembrin. Propolis is being researched for the potential development of new drugs focusing on a variety of its properties, including those for possible immunomodulatory, anti-diabetic and anti-ulcer applications. Saponified olive oil works with the activated charcoal to cleanse the skin and purify pores. Lemon myrtle, patchouli and palmarosa clarify and rejuvenate the skin, while zesty lemongrass and grapefruit revives the spirit.   Our botanical bar soaps are particularly handy for the hygienic yet gentle cleansing of pits and privates. The essential oils in our soaps potently modulate odor-causing bacteria without disrupting the protective barrier of the skin.  Commercial bars soaps contain harsh surfactants that disrupt the structure of the skin, which causes dryness, irritation, and inflammation.    Directions: Perfect for a hand and nail scrub and for gently washing arm pits and private areas that require extra attention. A little goes a long way with this cheerful, clarifying oil, which is splendid for clearing stagnant air, sedentary energy, and sluggish skin.
