POTENTIAL ISSUES (DETOX REACTION)
Most customers tolerate our supplements without incident; however, approximately 5 to 10% of customers (usually with an autoimmune condition) may experience a detoxification reaction. Detoxification reactions go by many different names including healing reactions, healing crises, cleansing reactions (or) Herxheimer reactions with hallmark symptoms of nausea, headache, lethargy, dizziness and other flu like symptoms. SLEEP LIKE A ROCK
On the hierarchy of health decisions, sleep trumps almost everything else. It's the low hanging fruit that can affect health metrics more than just about anything else. It's the time when your body and your brain detox, recover, rebuild and restore. How amazing is your sleep? Exactly what I thought! Instead of writing a long boring article about sleep tips, I'm bullet pointing this one.. why... because it's getting late and I need to get some shut eye.
Get morning sun exposure (at the same time everyday) to regulate sleep / wake cycles.
Finish your last meal at least 3 to 4 hours before bedtime... trust me, you can do this.
Earthing... you can do it the old fashioned way or you can use grounding sheets like we do (Google it). We go on barefoot hikes all the time... we use an EMF meter to make sure there are no electrical fields around our bed... we turn off the wifi (actually don't have wifi but you do, so turn it off at night)... put your phone in airplane mode and make sure that there are no electronics (nor lights) anywhere near you.
Your sleep temperature should be between 64 and 68.
Use blackout curtains and blackout blinds... room needs to be pitch black. No battery lights, no night lights, nothing!
Use Himalayan salt lamps at sunset instead of regular lighting.
Wear UVEX safety goggles at least 2 hours before going to bed... this one is seriously a big deal. They cost $9 and they make all the difference. If you're not going to do anything else, do this!

IF ONE HAD THEIR THYMUS REMOVED, HOW WOULD THYMUS GLANDULAR WORK?
If one had their thyroid removed, not only would Thyroid glandular still work, it would be necessary for life because each and every cell requires thyroid hormone (T3) for energy metabolism and mitochondrial signaling. Same goes for the pancreas... if one had their pancreas removed, pancreas glandular (and pancreas producing enzymes and peptides such as insulin) would be necessary to sustain life. WE EVOLVED CONSUMING COLOSTRUM...

LIVER [VS] SPLEEN TO BUILD BLOOD
The science supports that consuming spleen tissue from a healthy animal strengthens and supports our own spleen. When our own spleen works better, immune function improves along with blood health. Our own spleen plays a vital role in blood building as it recycles red blood cells, iron, platelets and it maintains a reserve of red blood cells — releasing red blood cells when needed. That said, there's a lot more to the story than just the heme iron that everybody talks about. Spleen works to improve iron status, build blood and support hemoglobin health... but not just for the obvious reason.
LIVER
Many of our customers successfully improve their iron status with our stand alone Liver product because it naturally provides cofactors (vitamin A, B12, folate, choline, zinc, copper, etc) that support endogenous iron production, the building of blood and hemoglobin health, along with a moderate amount of heme iron. IF ONE HAD THEIR SPLEEN REMOVED, HOW WOULD SPLEEN GLANDULAR WORK?
If one had their thyroid removed, not only would Thyroid glandular still work, it would be necessary for life because each and every cell requires thyroid hormone (T3) for energy metabolism and mitochondrial signaling. In addition to some of the typical amino acids that you expect in collagen (glycine, hydroxyproline and proline), our Grass Fed "Living" Collagen is teeming with bioactive growth factors, including Insulin Like Growth Factor I (IGF I), Transforming Growth Factor ß I (TGFßI) and Cartilage Derived Growth Factor (CDGF).
The growth factors are a diverse group of proteins with a myriad of biological functions within the body. As proteins, they are sensitive to manufacturing processes, however our gentle processing techniques help to preserve these delicate entities within our finished product.
IGF-I may have a dual benefit on compromised cartilage. Work by Neidel et al (1994) demonstrated that IGF-I partially prevented the inhibition of cartilage proteoglycan synthesis caused by Interleukin I (IL-1). The rudimentary source of DHA is marine algae; therefore it is found concentrated in fish, fish eggs, and marine oils. While some nutritionists may insist that humans can transform plant sources of ALA into DHA from foods such as flax, chia or green leafy vegetables, this is only conditionally true and is highly inefficient. While the cells of plants, like algae, are photosynthetic, our mammalian cells do not contain the enzymes necessary for the de novo synthesis of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which is the precursor for the synthesis of all omega-3 fatty acids. We generally carb reload on the weekends with plenty of sweet potatoes, raw local honey, the occasional sorghum and various in-season fruits. For gut / digestive repair, I don't suggest massive refeeds like we do... stay the course until you're better, then you can do this. We also do a twenty-four to thirty hour fast on Sundays... it's not as bad as it sounds. We eat an early dinner as we normally would on early Saturday evening... skip our first meal on Sunday, and eat an amazing fish-based dinner (usually wild caught sardines with wild caught fish eggs) with the entire tribe on Sunday. Once a quarter, we do a 5-day water only fast (adults only).

THE PROBIOTIC DISCUSSION...
Certainly, not all organisms survive after being harvested, ground and freeze-dried... but some do! And yes, the longer the tripe is frozen, the more of them die off. SAFETY OF OUR GRASS-FED, PASTURE-RAISED LIVER
For those interested, beef heart that is freeze-dried does not flow very well into capsules. The solution... add a little bit of freeze-dried liver. High quality liver from pasture-raised, grass-fed cows is completely safe to consume. There is a common misconception about the liver being a storage depot for toxins which couldn't be further from fact. One of the many roles of liver is to filter toxins and send them to be expelled — usually in the urine via the kidney. In other words, the liver does not hold on to toxins, it expels them. The liver does act as a storage depot for vitamins, minerals and glycogen. Rest assured, liver from healthy animals is safe, nutritious and time-tested.
Need more assurance... Recall that liver is rich in choline, folate and B12. A diet rich in these nutrients supports methylation. Amongst other things, methylation is central to detoxification. Our early ancestors were regularly subjected to cold temperatures. It’s most likely why we humans have brown adipose tissue (BAT). BAT is especially abundant in newborns and in hibernating mammals. HOW MUCH COQ10 IN GRASSFED BEEF HEART
Keep in mind that grass fed heart is the richest source of CoQ10 that exists in nature... that said, there's more to the story than "experts" recommending 100 to 200mg of exogenous CoQ10 per day. I hope that you will read this entire response so that you will know the importance of endogenous production and how to best support it in harmony with our biology. I promise you that it's worth the read.
A six capsule serving of our Grass Fed Beef Heart will supply approximately 10mg of CoQ10... Six capsules provides the equivalent of one ounce of fresh, raw whole bovine heart that you’d get from your local farmer (or) butcher. That said, even if you consumed a plateful of grass fed heart, say 6 ounces, you'd be getting approximately 60 mg of CoQ10.Like I said, there's obviously more to the story when it comes to managing your CoQ10 status at the tissue level (hint, hint: endogenous production is pretty important here). There is really nothing that exists in "nature" that would have regularly supplied "supra physiological" amounts of CoQ10 that are found in many CoQ10 supplements today. In fact, research points to us requiring up to 500 mg per day of CoQ10. If the average CoQ10 content of the western diet is only 5 mg per day, then food contributes only about 1 percent of daily CoQ10 requirements — the balance comes from endogenous production (within the body).Synthesis of CoQ10 indispensably requires the B vitamins (vitamins B2, B6, B12, folate, niacin and pantothenic acid) along with several trace elements, including selenium, which protects CoQ10 from oxidation. So how do we manage our CoQ10 status at the tissue level... in our hearts, and in our livers and in our brains (not just in our blood)... Slow breathing lowers blood pressure and enhances baroreflex sensitivity, a mechanism to control blood pressure via heart rate, in people with high blood pressure. This finding was so strong that researchers suggested slow breathing "appear[s] potentially beneficial in the management of hypertension." Google "Buteyko method" for more info.

All animal cells contain nourishing cholesterol; therefore, all animal foods have it, including our supplements. POTENTIAL ISSUES (DETOX REACTION)
Most customers tolerate our supplements without incident; however, approximately 5 to 10% of customers (usually with an autoimmune condition) may experience a detoxification reaction. After all, we seem to be purpose built for doing it and we derive massive health and happiness benefits from it. We know it seems to stave off neurodegeneration, as well as improve the brains of people already suffering from it.*[16]
[ NOTE: Ketosis is a high fat, moderate protein, low carbohydrate way of eating. Medium chain triglycerides (MCT oil), intermittent fasting (IF) and fasting all elevate ketone bodies. We generally carb reload on the weekends with plenty of sweet potatoes, raw local honey, the occasional sorghum and various in-season fruits. We also do a twenty-four to thirty hour fast on Sundays... it's not as bad as it sounds. We eat an early dinner as we normally would on early Saturday evening... skip our first meal on Sunday, and eat an amazing fish-based dinner (usually wild caught sardines) with the entire tribe on Sunday. We also do heat and cold exposures together and we go on barefoot hikes every Sunday. Connecting to mother earth creates strong parasympathetic tone for enhanced recovery for the week to come. Fibrin Defense
Fibrin is a protein formed in the human body responsible for scar tissue and thrombus formation. Neprinol contains a blend of fibrinolytic (fibrin degrading) enzymes that specifically address fibrin levels in the body. Our bodies normally secrete sufficient levels of plasmin, an important enzyme present in the blood that degrades many blood plasma proteins and blood clots. Plasmin, our own natural blood thinner, is responsible for maintaining normal blood solvency by removing unnecessary accumulated protein. Fibrin
Fibrin is an insoluble protein that plays a major role in the formation of blood clots and scar tissue. During the blood clotting process, the soluble protein fibrinogen converts into insoluble fibrin, which is then laid down inside the damaged blood vessel. The fibrin strands then assemble into a net-like gel that hardens and captures all of the materials necessary to patch the damaged vessel. This is the structural framework of a blood clot. Obviously, fibrin plays a vital role in the healing process; however, when there is fibrin overproduction, it can lead to the formation of dangerous and unnecessary blood clots in the body [1]. One factor that can lead to excessive fibrin is ageing.
As we age, the concentration of fibrinogen increases in our blood [2]. High levels of fibrinogen increases fibrin production, and as fibrin begins to accumulate in the blood vessels it generally leads to the formation of blood clots [3]. Healthy individuals usually have sufficient levels of plasmin, an enzyme that breaks up fibrin blood clots. Unfortunately plasmin production slows down as we get older so the normal process of removing excess fibrin is reduced. The result of this can be cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, strokes, pulmonary emboli, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and other related disorders [4-8].
Neprinol
Research has shown that protein-dissolving enzymes like those found in Neprinol can slow the production of fibrin and enhance its removal from the body [1]. Neprinol's blend of enzymes generally tests well above 50,000 FU per gram, which means that 50,000 units of fibrin are broken down by each gram of Neprinol powder. Of the enzymes contained in this formula perhaps the most significant is nattokinase, which has been shown to be four times more powerful than our body's own plasmin at breaking down blood clots [9].
Nattokinase
Nattokinase is an enzyme extracted from natto, a fermented soybean 'cheese' that is popular in Japan [10]. The ability of nattokinase to breakdown fibrin has been tested in more than 12 studies [11], and nattokinase has been shown to be the most potent fibrin-degrading enzyme out of more than 200 foods tested [3].
Researchers have found that nattokinase works much in the same way as plasmin [3], which means thatnattokinase literally dissolves fibrin, whether it is holding together blood clots or is part of scar tissue [12]. However, nattokinase also blocks the activity of plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1), which boosts its fibrin-destroying capabilities even more [9,13].
Plasminogen is made into plasmin, the body's fibrin-dissolving enzyme. However, the conversion process is inactivated by PAI-1. This is why high levels of PAI-1 reduce fibrin breakdown and removal [14]. Nattokinase increases fibrin breakdown by blocking PAI-1 so that more plasmin is produced.
Because of this nattokinase is not only able to stop dangerous blood clots from developing but also helps dissolve any clots that have already formed. As a result, oral nattokinase supplements are recommended for preventing cardiovascular disease [15]. Nattokinase has also been shown to reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in high-risk patients in combination with pycnogenol[16].
Bromelain
Bromelain is an extract from pineapple that contains a number of fibrin-degrading enzymes [17,18], as well as enzymes that enhance this fibrin-dissolving action [19]. Bromelain was shown to increase the conversion of plasminogen into plasmin [20-22]. It has also been shown to prevent the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin [17]. However, unlike nattokinase, bromelain is not able to dissolve fibrin clumps that have already formed [17].
Because a high percentage of ingested bromelain is absorbed intact into the bloodstream, protein- and fibrin-degrading activity in the blood can be increased for hours after taking it [23]. Two large-scale trials in patients with heart problems showed that bromelain could almost completely eliminate thrombosis [24].
Serrapeptase
Serrapeptase is another important component of Neprinol's advanced fibrin defense. Serrapeptase is a protein-degrading enzyme isolated from the silk worm [25]. It has significant anti-inflammatory and fibrin-removal activity [26], which makes it ideal for preventing blood clot formation associated with cardiovascular disease.
Other Diseases Linked to Fibrin
The buildup of excess fibrin in the body can cause more health problems than just blood clots. Fibrin has also been linked to a number of chronic and progressive diseases like multiple sclerosis [27,28] and asthma [29]. As a result, Neprinol's fibrin-degrading enzymes could prove to be a good treatment option [1,30].
Breaking down fibrin using enzymes may also help a number of conditions that are difficult to treat, such as Peyronie’s disease, Dupuytren’s contracture and Ledderhose’s disease. All of these conditions are characterized by a loss of tissue elasticity, which leads to tissue tearing, then bleeding, clot formation and fibrin deposition. Over time, taking fibrin-degrading enzymes may reduce the amount of scar tissue built up in locations where there has been repeated damage and bleeding [1].
Finally, using enzymes to dissolve fibrin may also play a role in cancer prevention and treatment. Cancer cells often are surrounded by a fibrin coating [31]. Researchers think that the fibrin may provide a type of camouflage for these abnormal cells, allowing them to escape being destroyed by the immune system. It is possible that by removing this fibrin coating, the body could detect cancer cells and destroy them before they are able to gain a foothold in the body.
