Just pure plant essence that actually works and smells amazing! Even in a hot desert climate it lasts all day. great scent for men I had a hard time figuring out which one to get, but let me start off by saying you can't go wrong! I plan to get several more as they work really well. They change scent depending on your body chemistry, so don't judge them by the scent when you first try them on. I bought the gingerlily and petal poetic pits to start. Both are really warm and pretty scents. I usually prefer beachy and sweeter fragrances, and don't like floral scents, so I was hesitant when I read lily or petal in the name. I expected the gingerlily also to be very feminine. But on my boyfriend, it's the perfect sensual and warm scent! Be aware, this is powerful, so you only need a small amount. But just a drop and it becomes like a subtle second skin. This is a great scent for men or women who like something warm, natural and sensual. Thanks again to Nadine for creating perfection. heaven I ordered this and fell in love. Buying something with out smelling it first is risk taking but I had a good feeling about it. It's very beautiful sensual smell and I actually use it as a perfume. I brought it home with me for x mas and my mom got a hold of it and wouldn't give it back! She handed me money to buy another one for my self... it was so funny. I had another friend actually steal this from my bathroom! It is lovely. buy it! LOVING THIS I took a risk and ordered this. I say it was a risk because I have never used natural deodorant before but only heard that they generally don't work very well or smell very good. When I got this, I smelled it and I loved it! I felt so good throughout the day knowing that my pits were naturally being taken care of :-) I also realized that I do not need to shower myself with my little new love product as a little really goes a long way. BEST NATURAL PERFUME SCENT + DEODERANT... looooooooooooooove this. :) Scent of an Earth Goddess :) This is hands down the BEST Underarm Charm scent...at least it is for me. I've tried the Vetiver and Petal (both FANTASTIC) but I've received the most compliments when I'm wearing the RoseGlow Poetic Pits. People think I'm wearing perfume and love my scent when in reality it's from my underarms. lol It is a gorgeous blend of flower and earth to me....a spicy rose....that evokes a nuturing, warm, grounding feeling and makes me feel like an earth goddess. LOVE! my absolute favorite rose works beautifully to cover up any undesirable scent emanating from my underarms. I feel like I am a flower unfolding throughout the day. I have used all the poetic pits. They are all amazing and effective. This is my favourite. works forever I can't believe how well this works. They smells horrible, they leave a chalky mess on all my clothing and they are terribly toxic to the body. Even the "natural" ones are pretty gross. Poetic pits are perfect. They work (most importantly), they are small and portable (excellent for the purse), they are natural (sandalwood is the base and is an effective anti-bacterial) and they smell amazing (added bonus) Thank you for providing an alternative. Double Trouble I love to use this on nights out, special occasions or whenever I want to feel a little feminine. It's a little less potent than Palo Santo or Tree Majesty but it smells wonderful! And I love that it's not too rosey. It's also great as a perfume! AMAZING This product not only smells GREAT, but it is the only deodorant that I have ever used that truly works ALL DAY long. (And I'm a fairly stinky person.) It is a really feminine smell, not as spicy and strong as Palo santo and not as light and flowery as Petals Pits.. I love it. Not for heavy sweating This is such a beautiful smelling oil. It works well for light sweating. But it wasn't too effective for very heavy sweating. Great for day to day but may need something additional for days when you will be sweating more. New York summer days smelling like, roses! Oh, the many days I endured smelling of scented BO while testing the natural deodorant market. I can honestly say I almost gave up but had to persevere knowing just how toxic deodorant is. Let me give you a quick rundown of why switching to a natural option will give you the ultimate pit protection! The toxic chemicals in deodorant and antiperspirants can cause problems, Alzheimer’s, and allergic reactions. The main ingredient concern is aluminum, but a slew of others on my “not natural naughty list” are parabens, propylene glycol, triclosan, TEA, DEA, FD&C colors, and talc. Aluminum-based compounds are responsible for antiperspirant, a.k.a. keeping our pits dry. This leaves me fresh for long and although I can smell my own scent by evening- it's not offensive unlike while using other natural deodorants I've tried. Definitely a favourite :) Spicy but strong I like this scent but it is very strong and not particularly feminine. While I prefer the rose poetic pits, this one is nice too. The best thing is that even after a hard days work where I do tend to sweat, I don't have to worry about stinky armpits. balanced!!! def attracted for this scent on men, but def great for women as well. perfect balance!!!! In my experience of using this, it is not your typical calm lavender; while it does have quite a soothing element to it, the spikenard definitely 'spikes' things up and creates more of an edge to this. It all depends on a person's body chemistry and how it blends with the poetic pits, but for mine the spikenard definitely announces its presence, creates a spicy, almost peppery atmosphere. As a female, my pits have responded best to the floral pits, but I do enjoy the variety once in a while :). This provides a calm but strong presence. I like using this during the autumn season! Passed the Pits Test! Every other natural deodorant has failed me. It took me until now to switch from my (bad, bad) commercial antiperspirant to a natural one. I'm hooked. I am a fan. Wonderful! I've tried so many natural deodorants and none work so I just quit using anything....I'm stinky this product does exactly what it says. My underarms smell wonderful now, I'm so impressed I want to try all the scents. AMAZING!!! The best I have tried so far For me, it has proven nearly impossible to find a deodorant that uses completely non-toxic ingredients and also actually works. There hasn’t been a single one I’ve tried that has been completely effective at banishing odour. In my mission to find one, I decided to invest in the Living Libations deodorant because it gets very good reviews and is made of absolute tip-top quality essential oils (hence the price). It comes in a tiny bottle that doesn’t look like it will last five minutes, but you don’t need much – just a quick stroke with the little roller applicator. My verdict? It’s effective in most situations so I’d rate it the best I have tried so far. I tried the lavender one. It’s not completely infallible; there were at least two occasions when I detected a sweaty smell after a long day. But to be fair, I am a tough challenge for any deodorant at the moment as I’m going through a period of deep cleansing and a lot of toxic gunk is coming out through my skin. I am also doing intermittent fasting which means I am in ketosis some of the time, which is notorious for making a person pong. I would expect that someone who is either cleaner than me or who just isn’t emitting waste through the skin would find this product more than capable of keeping their pits sweet-smelling. Also, the days I did feel less than fresh were both hot humid days when I was doing something that made me sweat with nerves because I was meeting people, so definitely a tough test for this deodorant. The funny thing I noticed was that when I undressed at the end of the day, my actual underarm area smelled fine – it was the clothes that had a slightly sweaty odour. They were man-made fabrics because I had to be dressed up, and that may have been a factor. My overall rating of Poetic Pits is 8/10 because it smells good, the ingredients are of exceptional quality, and it works well under most normal circumstances. underarm and "sun spot" charm I had been using Poetic Pits under my arms for several months, and loving it, when I noticed a suspicious brown spot on my arm. So I started dabbing my spot with it, too. Now my spot is gone. GONE. As a pale-skinned, sunscreen shunning, sun-lover prone to spending long days outside, I have gottten my share of burns. Fortunately, each tiny bottle of Poetic Pits lasts forever, even with daily use, so I can freely dab my pits and any new spot and let nature heal my sun-indiscretions. This smells wonderful This underarm charm smells so good and lasts for hours. You don't need to use much of it to smell great throughout the day. It gives me visions of arms wide open in the forest, the wind passing through and dancing with the scent of natural earthyness this product captures. Indeed very earthy. It's more of a masculine scent, but can blend quite nicely on a female as well. Poetic Pits is a complete and total revelation. The entire concept is amazing. A stroke or two, and I am blissfully confident. I cannot express how wonderfully this product works. It is some kind of alchemy -- it takes something frankly unpleasant and creates this lovely, personal scent aura. And it really does last from one shower to the next -- through working out, housework, yard work. I gave out before the Poetic Pits did. I love the GingerLily -- I have three different scents and I love them all for different reasons -- it's warm, slightly floral with a hint of musk and spicy ginger overtones. Like fragrance, I would venture that it changes slightly with different body chemistries. I don't find this overpowering at all. (Surprisingly, the Lavender seems the strongest to me.) I have a lot of Living Libations -- two different scents of the BestSkinEver, the ChocolateKarat Serum, the Open Eye Serum in addition to three different Poetic Pits -- and as incredible as all of those other products are, the Poetic Pits are my hands-down favorite. Absolutely worth trying. You will love it. Wonderful Product - It works I'm not sure how this works, or why this works, but it does work. It is so powerful that my husband used it before he went on an 8 mile hike in 85 degree temperature with lots of humidity and came back without any sweat smell at all - just sandalwood. Best I've tried! This is the most potent out of the 3 Poetic Pits I've tried (Palo Santo and Rose). Smells more warm and grounding than Palo Santo. With Palo Santo I sometimes can smell a tiny bit of odour by the end of the day (depending on hormones and perspiration). And although I love the rose scented Poetic Pits It's not potent enough for me during warmer months. It's even potent enough for sweaty, stinky guys! Magical!!! Works! Works, works miracles ! It is THE ONLY underarm charm that has won my heart and soul and spared innocent passer-bys the unpleasant aspect of my perspiration. I actually enjoy the smell of my pits now, as the essential oils mingle with my own scent in the most beautiful way. Saluting you confidently with naked pits, Elizabeth Grounded and Sensuous I bought four different poetic pits my fist go around, and this one captivated me. It is earthy and raw, warm and sensual. I love it, which actually surprised me. In the past I tended to go for sweet violet scents, but have always been atttracted to the idea of a richer more earthy scent. I have found it, and with the vanilla there is still a slight sweetness to it that is not overpowering. This now doubles as a deodorant and a perfume, freeing me from two toxic products. Because I am a heavy sweater I find that I do need to reapply once later in the day. Thank you Living Libations for freeing myself and my family from our previously posioned pits and creating all new poetic ones! just cause I'm a hippy doesn't mean I wanna smell like one A little too hippy smelling. I was really hoping I would be able to detect the vanilla notes in this product, which are listed in the ingredients. At least according to my olfactory the vanilla is non existent.
