Smells good, and best of all, is effective! I ordered my bottle about two years ago. I'm still using my little 5 ml friend, to this day - and I still care about it. The smell is not too strong, I'm partial to roses and this one reminds me enough of roses and other complementary smells. It's effective! I'm not worried about sweating after I put this on in the morning. I will soon be (finally) ordering my next bottle. I toyed with the idea of ordering a different scent, but I know that I already like this scent, so feel like I'll be ordering the same kind again. Definitely worth a try. Love! I wanted a product that didn't have any aluminum, but I also didn't want visible sweating. I am so surprised at this product. Usually when I start to sweat it makes me anxious so I sweat more. I don't have that with this product! And when I become active, it heats the product up and it smells so incredible that I'm not freaking out that I'm going to get all sweaty. I actually sweat less with this product, and I'm really surprised at that. And oh my gosh I cannot get over the amazing smell! I've even used it on the inside of my wrists, and in my hair. lol It has a beautiful rose scent, and the texture has almost an oil consistency, yet it doesn't stain your clothes. They smells horrible, they leave a chalky mess on all my clothing and they are terribly toxic to the body. Even the "natural" ones are pretty gross. Poetic pits are perfect. I am usually quite, well, smelly by mid-afternoon. Double Trouble I love to use this on nights out, special occasions or whenever I want to feel a little feminine. It's a little less potent than Palo Santo or Tree Majesty but it smells wonderful! And I love that it's not too rosey. It's also great as a perfume! AMAZING This product not only smells GREAT, but it is the only deodorant that I have ever used that truly works ALL DAY long. (And I'm a fairly stinky person.) It is a really feminine smell, not as spicy and strong as Palo santo and not as light and flowery as Petals Pits.. I love it. Not for heavy sweating This is such a beautiful smelling oil. It works well for light sweating. But it wasn't too effective for very heavy sweating. Great for day to day but may need something additional for days when you will be sweating more. New York summer days smelling like, roses! Oh, the many days I endured smelling of scented BO while testing the natural deodorant market. I can honestly say I almost gave up but had to persevere knowing just how toxic deodorant is. Let me give you a quick rundown of why switching to a natural option will give you the ultimate pit protection! The toxic chemicals in deodorant and antiperspirants can cause problems, Alzheimer’s, and allergic reactions. The main ingredient concern is aluminum, but a slew of others on my “not natural naughty list” are parabens, propylene glycol, triclosan, TEA, DEA, FD&C colors, and talc. Aluminum-based compounds are responsible for antiperspirant, a.k.a. keeping our pits dry. Some research has shown that the chemicals are absorbed by the skin and cause changes in the estrogen receptors of the breast cells. Any chemical that is altering our hormones is not natural, and there is a lot of talk about aluminum being linked to breast issues. On top of this, although the possibility of health issues should be enough to put a halt on antiperspirants, we are meant to sweat! It is our body’s natural process of detoxification and temperature regulation. The other naughty chemicals on the list consist of known skin irritants, and hormone and organ disruptors. And keep in mind we apply deodorant on a daily basis, sometimes even more than once, and these chemicals tend to cause trouble with consistent use over time. But after testing close to 15 different natural deodorants, I have found one that saves the day and keeps our pits (and lives) safer. Living Libation’s Poetic Pits are pure essential oils and nothing else. This is the purest of the pure. Not only do they give off beautiful essences of leaves, flowers, and forest, the undiluted sandalwood essential oil actual harmonizes the endocrine system supporting the secretion of beneficial hormonal serums. That means it’s good for your hormones—no disrupting here. I have tried the RoseGlow and Lavender and love both. I would say I’m more partial to the Rose as it’s a more feminine fragrance. This product has gotten me through intense New York summer days smelling like, well, roses! You may have to adjust to a little sweating, but I just reframe the experience to saying my body is getting rid of toxins that I don’t want to have any longer. And you can always do a quick blot with a tissue or paper towel if need be. The 5 ml bottle is surprisingly small for the price, but this is some high-quality essential oils and the bottle lasts several months as you don’t need much for each application.
