BEEF PANCREAS SUPPORTS...  Pancreas Health Based On "Like Supports Like"  Digestive Health  Nutrient Assimilation  NOURISH YOUR WAY TO HEALTH & HAPPINESS WITH GRASS FED BEEF PANCREAS For most of human history, we effortlessly consumed (nose-to-tail) the things we needed for strength, health and happiness. Like the fertile ground that we once walked upon, we were a natural extension of this earth. In the modern world, we unknowingly struggle to fulfill our nutritional needs in order to support and sustain a vibrant, disease-free life. We are now part of a world where pancreatic distress and digestive maladies run amuck. Pancreatic extracts are rich in enzymes required to break down fats, proteins (proteolytic), and carbohydrates. Most commonly, pancreatic enzymes are used for pancreas insufficiencies, which may be characterized by impaired digestion, malabsorption, nutrient deficiencies, and abdominal discomfort.*[2]  Whole food, nutrient dense organs and glands can provide great benefit for those seeking targeted support in harmony with nature — the old fashioned way, the way that our early ancestors did.* Grassfed Beef Pancreas is a whole food dietary supplement that provides 100% pure bovine pancreas. This whole food provides proteins exclusively expressed in pancreas tissue along with nutrients, cofactors and enzymes that may support pancreatic and digestive health. Our mission is our purpose... putting back in, what the modern world has left out. New Zealand Our product is 100% sourced in New Zealand. In agricultural circles, it's known that the clean air, green pastures, and animal husbandry is at a higher level Ultra Pure Our product is 100% pure... This means that you won't see any of the extra stuff that most supplement companies include to save time and money (stearates, silica, etc) Freeze Dried Our product is 100% freeze dried in contrast to the heat processed varieties. This means that you get more of the heat sensitive vitamins, minerals and co-factors that make organ meats so incredibly nourishing CONSIDER THE SOURCE New Zealand seems like it was made for raising healthy cattle. Its location and climate produce pristine conditions for cattle, and the farmers have uncanny expertise handed down for generations. New Zealand is unique among meat-producing regions in the world because its climate is moderate so the grass in the pastures grows fresh and grows green year-round which means the cows can eat the food that’s healthiest for them every day of the year. Our nose-to-tail product line is always from grassfed, inspected animals born and raised without the use of pesticides, hormones or antibiotics. Health of livestock used for manufacturing in New Zealand is closely monitored by a world leading biosecurity system that is second to none, and is a global exemplar. Strict government licensing, auditing and certification procedures mean that our genuine New Zealand freeze dried products can be used with complete confidence in their origin, safety and efficacy. Freeze-drying preserves the heat sensitive vitamins, minerals and co-factors of components leaving the nutrients in the same balance as found in nature. BENEFITS OF EATING PANCREAS Traditional peoples, Native Americans and early ancestral healers believed that eating the organs from a healthy animal would strengthen and support the health of the corresponding organ of the individual. For instance, the traditional way of treating a person with a weak heart was to feed the person the heart of a healthy animal. Similarly, eating the kidneys of a healthy animal was believed to support urinary ailments and overall kidney health... Pancreas was fed to people with digestive problems... and spleen was fed to people with immune and blood deficiencies.*[1] Organ meats were a staple of our early ancestors' diets as the ultimate superfood, for good reason. It turns out, this nourishing tradition is backed by science... "Radioisotope labeling studies in animals have shown conclusively that, when eaten, organs and glands selectively travel to the corresponding organs and glands in high concentrations. This research, done at the University of Scotland in Edinburgh, lends credence to the ancient practice of eating animal organs to help ensure health in one’s corresponding organs..." - Dr. Ron Schmid, ND.*[3]Our early ancestors knew this, which is why their traditional diets included the frequent and nourishing consumption of nose-to-tail organ meats. — Based on the ancient ancestral wisdom that "like supports like." Consuming pancreas may strengthen and support our own pancreas.* — — Pancreatic glandular not only benefits digestion and nutrient assimilation, but may also increase pancreatic reserves. Thereby resting the pancreas in day-to-day functioning.*[4] — — Many naturopathic doctors believe that it is not too much acid but rather a lack of acid that is the problem. In addressing indigestion, naturopathic doctors use measures to enhance rather than inhibit digestion. Commonly used digestive aids include betaine hcl and pancreatic enzymes.*[2] — SUGGESTED USE (3 TO 6 CAPSULES A DAY) Six capsules provides the equivalent of one ounce of fresh, raw whole bovine pancreas that you’d get from your local farmer (or) butcher. Our Grass Fed Beef Pancreas is a whole food dietary supplement that can be taken with (or) without food (even though it technically is food). The suggested use is 3 to 6 capsules a day or as directed by a healthcare professional. Suggested use as a digestive aid is one capsule three times a day immediately before meals — for added support, the dose can be doubled. Suggested use for all other purposes is one capsule three times a day (between meals) on an empty stomach — for added support, the dose can be doubled. Each capsule contains amylase, protease, trypsin and lipase in the correct physiological amounts that exist in nature. Our product is not a processed, standardized USP extract... it is a whole food dietary supplement for those seeking targeted support in harmony with nature. HIGH QUALITY ORGANS & GLANDS Okay, you're convinced! You're going to start incorporating organs and glands in your routine because, well... you're educated now... you understand, just as our early ancestors did, that they provide superlative health benefits that are missing in our modern diets.* The next step is sourcing it. It's important that you source the highest quality because not all organs and glands are created equal. Consider the source.  Should Come From An Unpolluted Geographical Region — Isolated, Healthy, Pristine Lands  Should Come From Pasture Raised Cows Should Come From Grass-Fed & Grass-Finished Cows Should Come From Cows That Are Hormone, Pesticide & GMO Free Should Also Be Ultra Pure... Absolutely No Fillers (or) Flow Agents, No Allergens Should Be Non-Defatted, The Way It Exists In Nature Should Be 100% Freeze Dried... Freeze Drying Preserves Heat Sensitive Biological Activity If you're going to pick just one ancestral supplement to start with, make it our GRASS FED BEEF LIVER... unless you need targeted support with another specific organ system. If you are going to pick two supplements, our GRASS FED BEEF LIVER and our GRASS FED BEEF ORGANS provide complementary and synergistic nourishment. On the other hand, if you're looking for targeted organ support, you may be interested in our GRASS FED BEEF HEART to support heart health (or) our GRASS FED THYROID to support thyroid health... you get the picture.* GRASSFED BEEF PANCREAS SUMMARY Our genome has evolved with the nourishment of nose-to-tail dining since the beginning of time. Grassfed Beef Pancreas can provide great benefit for those seeking targeted support in harmony with nature.* Based on the concept of "like supports like," consuming pancreas may strengthen and support our own pancreas.* Pancreas glandular naturally provides the digestive enzymes amylase, trypsin, protease and lipase along with proteins exclusively expressed in pancreas tissue. This whole food provides all the nutrients, cofactors and enzymes that may support pancreatic and digestive health.*[2] Not all organs and glands are the same. Look for the highest quality beef pancreas... It should come from pasture-raised, grass-fed cows that are hormone, pesticide and GMO free. If considering a supplement, look for one that is ultra pure (without binders, fillers (or) flow agents) and look for the freeze dried variety as these have been shown to optimally preserve nutritional factors and co-factors. ACTIVATING AN ANCIENT PATHWAY [FOR IMMUNE HEALTH]   Our early ancestors were regularly subjected to cold temperatures. It’s most likely why we humans have brown adipose tissue (BAT). BAT is especially abundant in newborns and in hibernating mammals. It is also present and metabolically active in adult humans and its primary function is thermoregulation.*[8] In the modern world though, we are rarely subjected to cold temperatures for any real duration... Let's face it, who likes that uncomfortable frigid feeling that comes with cold, especially when we have access to warmth 24/7. In modern times, we simply put on some clothes… turn up the heater… or we avoid the cold altogether by staying inside. Our potential for strength and health remains encoded in our DNA, and under certain conditions, we can genetically express the strongest, healthiest version of ourselves. Those "certain conditions" almost always have to do with nose-to-tail nutrition. In this instance, it has to do with getting cold. — Improves blood circulation so the arteries work more efficiently at pumping blood, therefore boosting our overall heart health * — Promotes “hardening,” which results in increased tolerance to stress and disease * — — Upgrades the immune system by increasing glutathione (our master antioxidant) and decreasing inflammatory markers * — Intentional cold exposures initiate adaptive processes and response mechanisms that are hardwired into our genes. We have 60,000 miles of blood vessels within us that are lined with smooth muscles that constrict (or) dilate based on our perception of temperature. This process of vasoconstriction and vasodilation is like exercise for your blood vessels. Cold exposure benefits include boosting heart health through improved circulation and increased tolerance to stress, upgraded immunity, and enhanced metabolic flexibility. Rhonda Patrick, PHD writes “cold exposures increase cold shock proteins including one in the brain that repairs damaged synapses and in muscle prevents atrophy, how cold-induced norepinephrine lowers inflammation and pain by decreasing the levels of 3 inflammatory mediators…”*[9]  This is very, very interesting stuff and it's grounded in evolutionary science.Give it a try. Start with cold / hot shower contrasts for 30 seconds at a time. At first, you'll down right hate me for it because it is down right uncomfortable. Continue the shower contrasts over a 30 day period. Take notice how you feel afterwards... it will keep you coming back for more. It gets easier and easier because the adaptive mechanisms, including the smooth muscles that line the blood vessels, adapt... they get stronger, faster and more efficient at doing what they were designed to do. You will notice that your ability to withstand cold will increase considerably after only a few days. Like any other stressor, we adapt… it gets easier… and it starts to feel amazing. You never know, cold exposures could easily be the missing link to the strength, energy and other health benefits that we are all after. Send me an email... let me know your thoughts... let me know your questions. I'd love to hear from you. Our mission is our purpose... putting back in, what the modern world has left out.

Abzorb - Digestive Enzymes 500mg (150caps) Abzorb - Digestive Enzymes 500mg (150caps)
HCP Formulas Abzorb - Digestive Enzymes 500mg (150caps)
Get More From Your Supplements With Optimal Nutrient Absorption Cleanse Your Digestive Tract, Balance Your Intestinal Flora Enzymes, Minerals, Vitamin D, and Probiotics to Improve Health Vitamin and Nutrient Optimizer Feel the difference with improved health, increased energy, reduced bloating, and normalized bowel activity. Advanced blend contains enzymes, probiotics and ozonated magnesium oxides, specially formulated to promote optimum nutrient absorption. This synergistic formula works by cleansing the lining of the small intestine where nutrient absorption occurs, by introducing healthy intestinal microflora, and by supporting balanced pH levels in the gastrointestinal tract. 3 Ways To Create and Maintain Optimal Nutrient Absorption 1. Abzorb cleanses the lining of the small intestine where nutrient absorption occurs. Hair-like fibers (called microvilli) on the wall of the small intestine are responsible for trapping nutrients for absorption through the intestinal wall and into the blood stream. Over time, due to poor diet and other environmental factors, these fibers become covered with a sludge that may include yeast, bile, food debris and parasites. Abzorb works to cleanse the lining of the small intestine of these absorption hindrances and prevent future accumulation. 2. Abzorb introduces healthy probiotics that work to reduce and prevent the growth of bad bacteria in the small intestine. An overgrowth of bad bacteria in the small intestine can be caused by illness, poor diet (high in sugar, refined carbs, or alcohol), and medications such as antibiotics and antacids. Symptoms of bad bacteria overgrowth include gas, bloating, diarrhea, cramps, food intolerances, diseases such as fibromyalgia and diabetes, vitamin deficiency and fat malabsorption. Bad bacteria overgrowth hinders proper nutrient absorption by metabolizing nutrients before they can be absorbed and by causing inflammation in the intestine. Abzorb will help to balance the good and bad microflora in the gut. 3. Abzorb helps to maintain a healthy pH balance in the gastrointestinal tract. Too much acidity in the body hinders the ability of our own digestive enzymes to process nutrients for absorption. Symptoms include indigestion, weight gain, poor metabolism, candida, fatigue, mineral deficiencies and hormonal imbalances. Increased acidity can be caused by poor diet, stress, lack of exercise, mineral deficiencies and environmental pollution. The probiotics and ozonated magnesium oxides work to bring pH levels in to balance for improved digestive function and to further increase nutrient absorption. Optimum nutrient absorption Increased supplement bioavailability Healthy intestinal microflora Balanced gastrointestinal pH Digestive cleansing Regular bowel function Time Release Acid Resistant Capsules Technology A natural supplement is only as effective as its delivery system. Enzymes and probiotics must survive the harsh acidic environment of the stomach before reaching the small intestine. In order to protect against these stomach acids, many enzymes and probiotics on the market consist of enteric coated capsules that contain phthalates (plasticizers), genetically modified vegetable coatings, or other unhealthy chemicals. Some are also available in tablet form, which in addition to containing unhealthy fillers and binders, may be more difficult to break down. Abzorb utilizes a technologically advanced capsule to provide maximum protection against stomach acids without the use of phthalates or harmful chemicals and solvents. The acid-resistant capsule consists of a non-GMO vegetable cellulose barrier that allows for a timed release of the ingredients for maximum effectiveness. AST Enzymes - Lipase-HP Plus 90caps AST Enzymes - Lipase-HP Plus 90caps
AST Enzymes AST Enzymes - Lipase-HP Plus 90caps
Lipase-HP Plus How well do you breakdown the fat that you eat? Fat or lipids are heavily consumed in the average diet. Some of these fats are healthy and some are not quite as beneficial to our health. Regardless of the dietary nutritional value of the types of fat we consume, it is essential to properly break them down for our body to either utilize or remove. Dietary fats can be difficult to properly break down: first, because they are large molecules, and secondly, because they are not water soluble. Factors such as age, stress or lifestyle choices can affect the production of enzymes to support proper digestion, such as lipase (fat-digesting enzyme), and vital fluids such as bile. Lipases are a class of enzymes responsible for the breakdown of fats within the digestive system.  Produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder, bile salts function in breaking down larger molecule of fats (triglycerides), allowing more surface for lipid to efficiently break down fats. Once properly broken down, they move along the lining of the small intestine for further processing, and are then absorbed. When the digestive system does not produce or secrete adequate amounts of lipase to accommodate dietary fat intake, symptoms like bloating, cramping, flatulence, undesired weight gain, and sometimes steatorrhea (fat in the stool) may occur. Lipases are produced primarily by the pancreas as pancreatic enzymes. If the pancreas isn’t functioning properly, it is likely to cause fat maldigestion and malabsorption, which results poor nutritional absorption. Lipase HP Plus for better Absorption Take a lipase supplement supports people whose pancreas isn’t producing a sufficient amount of lipase in digesting fats. Taking lipase with omega-3, fish oils and other fatty acid supplements supports nutrient absorption. Lipase HP Plus is a highly effective blend of essential enzymes promoting nutrition absorption. Lipase HP Plus’s high concentration of Lipase is used to in combination with amylase and proteases to suppor the breakdown of protein, sugars, and most importantly, fats in our diets. Taking Lipase HP Plus before a meal supports fat digestion and nutrient absorption.* Lipase HP Plus also contains ox bile to support lipase digestion. Lipase HP Plus is expertly designed to maximize the benefits of food we eat on a daily basis. Our daily diets consist of starches/carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Lipase HP Plus is formulated to support the breakdown of what we consume into usable sources of energy and nutrition.* Lipase Plus contains high activity lipase to support the breakdown of fats, and also bile as a support via the emulsification process.* Why choose Lipase HP Plus? 1)      Vegetarian enzymes Studies suggest that non-animal sourced enzymes are superior to those sourced from animals. Vegetarian enzymes, studies show, are more concentrated, so fewer capsules are needed. They are also more stable in varying pH levels of the digestive tract. 2)      Ox Bile After the careful consideration of alternative vegetarian emulsifiers to maximize the efficiency of this product, we concluded that ox bile, though not vegetarian, would be the most effective. The addition of ox bile in a unique quality in Lipase HP Plus because it is useful in the emulsification process of fats.* Lipase would not be as effective without bile. 3)      High Potency Lipases The high levels of lipases in our product are sufficient in supporting fat digestion and promoting nutrient absorption.* 4)      Manufactured in Chino, CA As the manufacturers of Lipase HP Plus, we guarantee the freshest products available as well as the expert knowledge of the ingredients that formulate this powerful product. 5)      Additional enzymes Unless your diet consists of only butter, oil, and animal fat, the addition of enzymes such as proteases and amylases are important to support digestion of sugars and proteins.* 6)      For those who do not have the proper function of the pancreas or gallbladder If those organs are not producing bile or lipases, supplementing with bile and/or lipases supports fat digestion and proper digestive function.* *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. DIRECTIONS:Lipase HP Plus can be taken systemically or digestively depending on the intent of usage: Digestively: 1 capsule about five minutes prior to each meal Systemically: 1 capsule five minutes prior to each meal and 3 capsules on an empty stomach Store in cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed. Avoid excessive heat. Keep out of the reach of children. Caution If you are pregnant, nursing, taking any medication or under medical supervision, consult your doctor before use. Discontinue use and consult your doctor if any adverse reactions occur. Not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. What is digestive enzyme therapy? Digestive enzyme therapy is the use of plant or animal-based dietary supplements to support digestion and promote metabolism.* The body is equipped with enzymes support digestion, but due to factors ranging from age to stress to lifestyle choices can affect their production and effectiveness. What is a digestive lipolytic enzyme? Lipolytic enzymes (lipases) break down fast into their building-blocks, which are three fatty acids and glycerol. The body requires proper breakdown of fat for absorption, which is critical for the transport of specific vitamins and minerals. How long should I take Lipase HP Plus before feeling results? Lipase HP Plus should be taken 5-10 minutes prior to eating. The typical, recommended dose is 1 to 2 capsules per meal. Variables that may affect dosage include: Content of meal Size of meal Nutritional status Depending on these variables, along with one’s individual response to digestive enzyme therapy, the dose can be as high as 4-5 capsules per meal. It is advisable to experiment with dosage, considering there is no upper limit or adverse effects in exceeding your supplement needs. What if I miss a dose? Digestive enzymes aid in digestion of food. Although it is recommended to take digestive enzyme prior to a meal, if miss a dose, take them directly after your meal. Are there any side effects involved with Lipase HP Plus? Side effects with Lipase HP Plus are rare. Mild cramping, bloating or gas may occur. Starting off at a low dose can minimize any possible side effects. Side effects should clear with regular use, after a tolerance is established. What does “proprietary blend” mean? Proprietary refers to a patent, or ownership. Applying this concept to our digestive enzyme blend, it means that we alone own the rights to the specific blend of enzymes found in Lipase HP Plus, making our product different from similarly marketed digestive enzyme supplements. Lipase HP Plus encompasses an all-inclusive digestive aid product that assists in the digestion of several nutrients, not just fats. Can I take Lipase HP Plus with other systemic or digestive enzymes? Although digestive and systemic enzymes are not contraindicated in terms of ingredients, they should not be taken at the same time. The purpose of digestive enzymes is to aid in digestion of specific foods, so taking them with food is an obvious recommendation. Because systemic enzymes require an empty stomach for maximum absorption, they must be taken separately from digestive enzymes. There are no adverse interactions between systemic and digestive enzymes, but they serve different purposes, and thus should be taken as directed for best results. Can I open the capsule and pour it onto my food instead of swallowing the capsule? If you find that you have trouble swallowing the capsules, pouring its contents onto food is definitely an option. You may also open the capsule into a glass of water, being sure to drink the entire glass. If you choose to take the enzymes this way, it is best to consume the entire content as soon as possible to ensure you are receiving the full benefits within your body (rather than on your plate). Is this product suitable for vegetarians? No. After extensive research to provide our customers with a vegetarian-sourced product, we concluded Ox Bile (animal-sourced) was essential to this formula. The enzymes are vegetarian, and capsules are derived from a plant source. What is the purpose of Ox Bile? Bile is produced by the liver and stored in gallbladder. The purpose of bile is to emulsify (breakdown) large fat molecules because lipases are less effect when fats are in their original chemical composition. Bile breaks down the large droplets of fat into smaller, manageable pieces lipases utilize, helping the intestine properly absorb them.
AST Enzymes Digest-GI 90caps AST Enzymes Digest-GI 90caps
AST Enzymes AST Enzymes Digest-GI 90caps
Digest-GI Complete Digestion* Good Health Begins With Proper Digestion Specialized cells in the pancreas, stomach and salivary glands produce digestive enzymes. These enzymes, along with those found in live foods, facilitate the break-down of food that results in their absorption and the eventual production of energy. When we eat a meal, producing digestive enzymes becomes a high priority for the body, requiring a lot of energy and adding stress to the pancreas. Despite this effort, digestive enzyme needs may still not meet the demands of the body, and undigested food particles may remain. These particles can accumulate and prevent proper nutrient absorption, cause digestive discomfort, or worse, leak back into the bloodstream from the colon and cause toxicity. There are a many causes of indigestion and other digestive disorders.  At least 10% of the population is lactose intolerant. Combine this with non-digestible complex sugars from legumes, cruciferous vegetables and cereal grains, abdominal discomfort, bloating and gas are inevitable.  Others consume far more protein than their body’s enzymes can digest, resulting in digestive discomfort. Typically, people reach for an antacid, which only neutralizes stomach acid and slows the digestive process. Yet, the true cause for indigestion has not been addressed. Digestive enzyme supplementation can enhance nutrient absorption, relieve digestive discomfort and promote overall better health. Digest-GI (DigeSEB-GI) is a premium, all-encompassing blend of digestive enzymes formulated to optimize digestion of dairy, legumes, cruciferous vegetables, cereal grains, proteins and other foods. Digest-GI (DigeSEB-GI) includesalpha and beta amylase, invertase, maltase, alpha galactosidase, lipase, cellulase and a complete array of protease enzymes, all of which are designed to enhance the digestion of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, while increasing the nutritional value of food and reducing the discomforts of incomplete digestion. Digest-GI (DigeSEB-GI) contains all-natural digestive enzymes specifically tailored to break down a broad range of foods into nutrients that your body can readily use. The powerful combination of proteases in Digest-GI helps hydrolyze proteins into smaller peptides and amino acids. Further, these enzymes are designed to be effective across a wide pH range throughout the entire digestive tract. After about the age of two years, the body begins to produce less lactase. Undigested lactose molecules pass into the colon and are fermented by bacteria, contributing to bloating, cramping and gas. DigeSEB-GI supports the digestion of lactose, as well as casein and other proteins and fats inherent in dairy products. Digest-GI (DigeSEB-GI) is also formulated to assist in the breakdown of carbohydrates found in vegetables, grains and legumes. Complex carbohydrates found in these foods are very nutrient dense but slow to digest. Undigested food is fermented in the colon, which can cause discomfort and limit the amount of nutrients made available for the body to absorb. The inclusion of two kinds of amylase in Digest-GI helps breakdown carbohydrates and assimilates them into usable sugars and starches. The complete digestion formula also contains HemiSEB®, a special enzyme complex that breaks down hard-to-digest components of plant fiber. Alpha-galactosidase breaks down complex carbohydrates found in legumes, vegetables, and grains, while reducing the discomforts of incomplete digestion.* Digest-GI Dosage Take 1 or more capsules with each meal, or as directed by your healthcare professional.   Supplement Facts Serving Size:  1 Capsule Servings Per Container: 90 Amount Per Serving:                        % DV DigeSEB® Super Enzyme Blend:300 mg * Amylase, Protease Blend (I, II and III), Lipase, Lactase, HemiSEB® (a proprietary blend of Hemicellulases, Beta-Glucanase, Xylanase, Pectinase, & Phytase) Cellulase, Maltase, Invertase, Bromelain, Peptizyme SP® (Serrapeptase), Papain & Alpha-Galactosidase *Daily Value (DV) not established   Other ingredients:  Microcrystalline cellulose and cellulose (vegetarian capsule) FAQ   What is digestive enzyme therapy? Digestive enzyme therapy is the use of plant or animal-based dietary supplements to aid in digestion and promote balanced metabolism.* All of our products are of plant origin, meaning they are 100% vegetarian/vegan.  Although the body is equipped with enzymes that perform digestive actions, certain conditions can affect their production and effectiveness. States of disease and aging are both factors affecting enzyme production and action.   What is a digestive proteolytic enzyme? Proteolytic enzymes break down proteins into their building-blocks, which are called amino acids. The body requires 20 different amino acids, 8 of which are referred to as essential amino acids because they cannot be synthesized by the human body. These essential amino acids must be obtained from the food we eat. Without sufficient proteolytic enzymes, the body is unable to break down and absorb these necessary nutrients. Failure to fully digest proteins can result in undesirable symptoms such as bloating, abdominal cramping, flatulence and diarrhea.   How long should I take Digest-GI before feeling results? Digest-GI (DigeSEB-GI) should be taken 5-10 minutes prior to eating. The typical, recommended dose is 1 to 2 capsules per meal. There are several variables that may affect the required dosage, for example: Content of meal Size of meal Severity of intolerance Nutritional status Depending on these variables, along with one’s individual response to digestive enzyme therapy, the dose can be as high as 4-5 capsules per meal. It is advisable to experiment with dosage, considering there is no upper limit or adverse effects in exceeding your supplement needs.   What if I miss a dose? Since digestive enzymes aid in digestion of food that is otherwise difficult to tolerate, finding yourself without them may be tricky. However, although digestive enzymes are recommended to be taken prior to a meal, if you find yourself missing a dose, we recommend that you take them directly after your meal. Don’t worry; they’ll be just as efficient!   Why is it important to take Digest-GI with food? Since Digest-GI (DigeSEB-GI) aids in overall digestion, it is contraindicated to use the enzyme without eating. Although it is not harmful to take DigeSEB on an empty stomach, it is simply a waste of money.  If you take digestive enzymes too soon before a meal, you risk the enzyme becoming inactive. The food and enzyme must be in the stomach together for proper results.   Are there any side effects involved with Digest-GI? Side effects with Digest-GI (DigeSEB-GI) are rare, but not impossible. Mild cramping may occur, as the intestinal lining begins to cleanse. Other rare, but reported side effects include minor gastrointestinal disturbances, like bloating or gas. Starting off at a low dose can minimize any possible side effects. Side effects should clear with regular use, after a tolerance is established.   What does “proprietary blend” mean? Proprietary refers to a patent, or ownership. Applying this concept to our digestive enzyme blend, it means that we alone own the rights to the specific blend of enzymes found in DigeSEB-GI, making our product different from similarly marketed digestive enzyme supplements. DigeSEB-GI encompasses an all-inclusive digestive aid product that assists in the digestion of several nutrients, not just beans and vegetables.   Can I take Digest-GI with other systemic or digestive enzymes? Although digestive and systemic enzymes arenot contraindicated in terms of ingredients, they should not be taken at the same time.

Product InfoDigest-GI Extra Strength Complete DigestionGood Health Begins With Proper DigestionSpecialized cells in the pancreas, stomach and salivary glands produce digestive enzymes. These enzymes, along with those found in live foods, facilitate the breakdown or digestion of food, which is how the body absorbs nutrients, and eventually produces energy. When we eat a meal, producing digestive enzymes is a high priority for the body, requiring energy and adding stress to the pancreas. Sometimes the body’s production of enzymes doesn’t meet its needs, for a variety of reasons:Age, stress, lifestyle choicesNon-digestible, complex sugars often found in legumes, cruciferous vegetables, and cereal grainsConsuming more protein than the body can digestLactose, casein, or gluten intolerancesTaking a digestive enzyme formula can support normal digestion, nutrient absorption, and overall health.Digest-GI Extra Strength – Powerful Digestive SupportDigest-GI Extra Strength is recommended for those who need the maximum level of digestion assistance. It is a potent, all-encompassing blend of digestive enzymes formulated to support the digestion of gluten, dairy, legumes, cruciferous vegetables, cereal grains, proteins, and other foods. Digest-GI Extra Strength includes amylase, invertase, cellulase, alpha galactosidase, lactase, lipase, and a complete array of protease enzymes including DPP IV, all of which are designed to promote the digestion of carbohydrates, dairy, fats, and proteins, while supporting nutrient absorption. *Digest-GI Extra Strength contains all-natural digestive enzymes designed to be effective across a wide pH range throughout the entire digestive tract.Digest-GI Extra Strength DosageTake 1 or more capsules with each meal, or as directed by your healthcare professional.*These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. FAQWhat is digestive enzyme therapy?Digestive enzyme therapy is the use of plant or animal-based dietary supplements to aid in digestion and promote balanced metabolism.* They enzymes in this blend are 100% vegetarian/vegan. The body produces digestive enzymes. Factors ranging from age to stress to lifestyle choices affect enzyme production. What is a digestive proteolytic enzyme?Proteolytic enzymes break down proteins into their building-blocks, which are called amino acids. How long should I take Digest-GI Extra Strength before feeling results?Take Digest-GI 5-10 minutes prior to eating. Take 1 to 2 capsules per meal. Variable that affect dosage include:Content of mealSize of mealNutritional statusDepending on these variables, along with one’s individual response to digestive enzyme therapy, the dose can be as high as 2-3capsules per meal. It is advisable to experiment with dosage, considering there is no upper limit or adverse effects in exceeding your supplement needs. What if I miss a dose?Digestive enzymes aid in digestion of food. It is recommended you take digestive enzymes prior to a meal, but if you miss a dose, we recommend you take them directly after your meal. Why is it important to take Digest-GI with food?Since Digest-GI Extra Strength aids in overall digestion, it is contraindicated to use the enzyme without eating. Although it is not harmful to take Digest-GI on an empty stomach, it is simply a waste of money.  If you take digestive enzymes too soon before a meal, you risk the enzyme becoming inactive. The food and enzyme must be in the stomach together for proper results. Are there any side effects involved with Digest-GI?Side effects with Digest-GI are rare. Mild cramping, bloating or gas may occur. Starting off at a low dose can minimize any possible side effects. Side effects should clear with regular use, after a tolerance is established. Can I take Digest-GI with other systemic or digestive enzymes?Although digestive and systemic enzymes are not contraindicated in terms of ingredients, they should not be taken at the same time.

Devigest ADS 90caps (Arthur Andrew Medical) (Digestive Enzyme formula) Devigest ADS 90caps (Arthur Andrew Medical) (Digestive Enzyme formula)
Arthur Andrew Medical Devigest ADS 90caps (Arthur Andrew Medical) (Digestive Enzyme formula)
Devigest Advanced Digestive Support is more powerful and concentrated than its earlier predecessors. Just one capsule with meals can ease the digestion of even the most troublesome of foods. Now more powerful and concentrated, Devigest can support reduced food irritations and sensitivities as well as reduce occasional abdominal gas and bloating. Devigest now contains a highly potent Peptidase with 500 units of DPP-IV activity per serving. Peptidase breaks down gluten and casein, two digestive irritants. Many formulas today have begun to utilize this amazing enzyme, but rarely is it incorporated in a broad spectrum blend, which leaves many formulas incomplete. Devigest is a complete and broad spectrum formula, making the need for supplementing other digestive enzyme products obsolete. Devigest also includes Alpha Galactosidase which is the active ingredient in the ever-popular product Beano®. Our bodies lack the enzymes that are responsible for breaking down certain carbohydrates in the small intestine. This causes improperly digested food to enter the large intestine where bacteria then begin to break it down, creating large amounts of gas which can lead to flatulence, abdominal bloating and digestive discomfort. Unlike many other gas medicines, Alpha Galactosidase can help prevent gas before it starts by breaking down the complex carbohydrates found in gassy foods into simpler, more easily digestible sugars. A similar phenomenon occurs with those that experience digestive distress when comsuming dairy foods. Lactose intolerance is the inability to break down lactose, which is milk sugar found in most dairy products. Lactose intolerance is the result of lacking the essential enzyme Lactase. Devigest now contains 444% more lactase than its predecessor per serving allowing those with lactose intolerance to enjoy dairy foods without the digestive distress. Proper digestion is a prerequisite for optimal health. Unless digestive physiology is in order, no other self-regulating or self-healing systems are able to perform in normal states. Devigest ADS serves not only in the aiding of the digestive process as a whole, but also therapeutic applications. Too often insufficient digestive enzyme production is overlooked as the culprit of indigestion and other digestive compliactions. Gas, bloating, incomplete digestion, and abdominal discomfort can play a part in the everyday life of many individuals. Properly digested foods add nutrients to our bodies, provide energy, and provide support to the countless other processes that are vital for proper human function. Supplementing with a high-quality digestive enzyme like Devigest ADS may be the answer to many of these concerns. Suggested Use Directions: Take 1 to 2 capsules between meals. Warning: Do not take Devigest without the consent of your physician if you are taking anti-coagulants or if you are pregnant or nursing. Is Devigest safe? No serious or adverse side effects have been reported from taking digestive enzymes such as Devigest. Clinical studies have shown that even extremely large doses of these enzymes are not toxic. When is the best time to take Devigest? For best results, take the product immediately prior to eating, or with your first bite. Devigest can also be taken after meals to alleviate digestive complications such as gas, bloating and indigestion. Can I take Devigest with other supplements? Devigest can be used safely with other dietary supplements. How long does it take for Devigest to work? The effects of digestive enzymes can be felt fairly quickly when taken after meals for indigestion, bloating or heartburn. When taking the product with meals containing foods that typically cause indigestion, the product should help alleviate the onset of these symptoms by assisting the body's digestive process. Supplement Facts Bromelain A proteolytic enzyme derived from pineapple. Bromelain attacks the long chain polypeptides of proteins ingested, breaking them down into shorter chain peptides, which are then able to be broken down further by other enzymes. Protease A proteolytic enzyme that is capable of digesting nearly every type of protein; protease is responsible for digesting the bulk of ingested proteins and is one of the three enzymes found in our body’s natural pancreatic juices. Devigest contains a blend of proteases to broaden the pH range of the product. Dipeptidyl Peptidase A proteolytic enzyme responsible for completing the digestion of peptides to basic amino acids. Dipeptidyl Peptidase is primarily responsible for the breakdown of gluten which is found in food items made from grains such as wheat or rye. Alpha Galactosidase The primary enzyme used in popular gas-relief products such as Beano®, alpha galactosidase is an enzyme responsible for breaking down complex sugars into simple sugars. This allows for certain foods such as cruciferous vegetables and legumes to be more easily digested, reducing intestinal gas. Amylase An enzyme which partially breaks starch down into maltose; amylase is naturally excreted from the pancreas and saliva. Lipase Triggers the breakdown of fat into fatty acids. Lipase is the third enzyme that is found in our body’s natural pancreatic juices along with protease and amylase. Glucoamylase Converts starch into sugar like amylase, but is most active in a highly acidic pH. The inclusion of this component allows for many sugars to be broken down prior to exiting the stomach. Lactase The enzyme responsible for the hydrolysis of the milk sugar lactose into glucose and galactose. Cellulase An enzyme that digests cellulose, or plant fiber. Most animals (including humans) do not produce cellulase naturally and are therefore unable to use most of the energy contained in plant material. Xylanase An enzyme with the ability to digest artificial food dyes and preservatives, and is usually lacking in other digestive formulas. Papain Derived from the papaya, papain hydrolyzes protein peptides into basic amino acids. Potassium and Calcium Bicarbonates Nutrients in the gastrointestinal tract are absorbed most efficiently when the environment is alkaline (pH over 7). Bicarbonates help to alkalize the digestive tract, allowing for optimal absorption of nutrients and can also ease the symptoms of indigestion when taken after meals. Hemicellulase Breaks down hemicellulose, a type of polysaccharide that is more complex than simple sugar and present along with cellulose in all plant cell walls. Devigest ADS was formulated to replace Devacor, the first digestive enzyme blend introduced by Arthur Andrew Medical. Devigest is a broad spectrum digestive enzyme blend that will help restore the body’s digestive enzymes, supporting balanced digestion and complete food assimilation. Devigest includes a much more potent blend of enzymes for breaking down gluten and dairy products. Additionally, our own pancreatic enzymes require an alkaline pH for maximum activity. Sodium and potassium bicarbonates, which are normal components of pancreatic juices, have been added to ensure that a sufficiently alkaline medium is present. How is Devigest Different From its Predecessors? Devigest includes a highly potent Peptidase with 500 units of DPP-IV activity per serving. It also now contains Alpha Galactosidase (the active ingredient in the product Beano®) as well as higher potency enzymes such as Lactase, Acid-Stable Protease, and Glucoamylase. Devigest was formulated to be more effective and provide even more relief for those with sensitivities to gluten, casein, dairy, and much more. Those with a diet high in gassy foods such as legumes and cruciferous vegetables will highly benefit from the addition of Alpha Galactosidase. What are “Digestive Enzymes”? Enzymes are proteins that act as catalysts in biochemical reactions. Every enzyme has a specific reactant known as a substrate, which can be thought of like a lock and key. Devigest contains several enzymes or “keys” that can “unlock” (or breakdown) many of the typical types of food common in our diets. The enzymes in Devigest ADS are specific to the digestion of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. Additional enzymes have been added to help digest dairy products as well as gluten and other food additives. How Do I Know if I Need Digestive Enzymes? A healthy body produces enzymes in sufficient quantities to ensure proper digestion of most foods. However, some people do not produce sufficient quantities of these enzymes, and often get the common symptoms of indigestion such as gas, bloating, heartburn, abdominal discomfort and constipation. These symptoms are common indicators that one may benefit from supplementation of a digestive enzyme. However, virtually everyone, even those who are asymptomatic, could benefit from the use of digestive enzymes. Why Devigest? Devigest ADS is the best choice for supporting optimal digestion. Unless digestive physiology is in order, no other self-regulating or self-healing systems are able to perform in optimal states, including immune function. Gas, bloating and abdominal discomfort can play a part in the everyday life of many individuals. Supplementing with a high-quality digestive enzyme may be the answer to many of these problems. How Does Devigest Work? Devigest ADS is an enzyme blend that allows for more complete digestion of fats, carbohydrates and proteins. Unlike Devigest, many digestive enzyme blends are incomplete as they lack the ability to break down common digestive irritants such as lactose and gluten. Devigest also includes an alkalization formula for optimal enzymatic activity. Is Devigest Safe? No serious or adverse side effects have been reported from taking digestive enzymes such as Devigest. Clinical studies have shown that even extremely large doses of these enzymes are not toxic.

WAM Essentials (Dr Wong) Digest-Fuerte™ (Digestive Enzymes) 90 Caps (WAM Essentials)
Dr. Wong's Essentials Digest Fuerte™ provides a blend of strong digestive enzymes including cellulase to more fully extract the nutrients from food and ease your digest process. No other digestive enzyme product is as potent or complete in its action as Digest-Fuerte. This blend contains enzymes that are actually fully active, ready to digest proteins, carbohydrates and especially fats.   A great help to those with gall bladder problems who have difficulty digesting fats.    We were the first digestive product to offer cellulase, the enzyme needed to break down the cell walls of plants so the nutrients inside the plant can be available to digestion.   Humans have not made cellulase in 4 million years!   Essential for vegetarians!   One capsule should be able to help you digest a thanksgiving or Christmas feast!  The ginger, cinnamon and cayenne cause the body to secrete added digestive juices also improving digestion.   And finally the aloe vera extract and peppermint help to soothe and protect the digestive tract.    Especially helpful with folks who are fighting GI inflammations and irritations!     Those are to help prevent the digestion and passage of food from increasing bowel irritation and inflammation!   Peppermint Leaf Powder Peppermint has a long history of use in aromatherapy and folk medicine for ailments such as vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion and bloating. In Germany, the Commisson E monographs show peppermint leaf as being used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), in addition to other health concerns. Cellulase Cellulase is an enzyme that breaks down cellulose (major component of plant cell walls). Since humans do not produce cellulase, we can only partially break down cellulose through fermentation by the flora in the intestines which greatly reduces the nutrients we can utilize. As a result, in order to properly digest leafy greens, sprouts and herbs, we need to supplement Cellulase in our diet. Pancreatin Amylase: Breaks down starches into sugars to be utilized by the body as energy.Lipase: Breaks down fatsProtease: An enzyme that begins the process of breaking down proteins for energy. Papain Papain breaks down proteins (meat fibres). Pepsin Pepsin breaks down proteins (meat fibres). It is one of the three primary protein-degrading enzymes in the digestive system. Allowing them to be more easily absorbed in the intestines.

Would you be interested in getting support with…[1] Blood Sugar Balance Maintaining Optimal Weight Optimal Cholesterol and a Healthy Cardiovascular System Reduced Infections Improved Mood A Healthy Liver Optimal Metabolism If so, you may want to try Berberine.Berberine is so powerful and effective that some authorities have described it as being ‘as effective as a pharmaceutical’ [1]... although it’s a lot safer than many of those! What is Berberine? Where does it come from?Berberine is a compound found in several different plants, including Barberry (Berberis vulgaris), Oregon Grape (Mahonia aquifolium), Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), and Chinese goldthread (Coptis chinensis).Technically, it belongs to a class of compounds called alkaloids. It has a yellow color, and has often been traditionally used as a dye. Berberine (C20H18NO4) is an isoquinoline alkaloid belonging to the protoberberine alkaloids. It was first discovered by Buchner and Herberger in 1830 [2]It has been used as traditional folk medicines in China, India, Iran and other countries [3]. And it has a 3000-year history of use in Traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic Medicine [4]. In the early 1960s, Indian researchers demonstrated that berberine and its salts, such as berberine sulfate, are valuable for the treatment of cholera, severe diarrhea and amoebiasis [5].Because of its effectiveness, especially in the treatment of diarrhea, berberine has become an essential medicine for every family in China.Berberine has now been tested in hundreds of different studies. How Does it work? After you ingest berberine, it gets taken in by the body and transported into the bloodstream. Then it travels into the body’s cells. Inside the cells, it binds to several different “molecular targets” and changes their function [6].Berberine also affects various other molecules inside cells, and may even affect which genes are turned on or off.Scientists have researched many different theories about how berberine may help support blood sugar health on a cellular level, including all of the following: Directly increasing AMPK, which stimulates glucose uptake in muscle cells and helps balance high blood sugar in rat and cell studies [7] Delay the breakdown of carbohydrates into simple sugars (rat study) [8] Enhancing glucagon secretion (rat study) [9] Mimics insulin action by increasing the ability of the body to take up glucose (cell study) [10] Decreasing glucose transport through the intestinal lining (cell study) [11] Increasing adiponectin, a protein which helps regulate blood sugar levels (through AMPK) (cell study) [12] Activating the blood sugar transport activity of glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1) (cell study) [13] Activating the fatty acid receptor GPR40 (cell study) [14] Protecting the beta-cells of the pancreas against cell death (cell study) [15] Inhibiting production of glucose in the liver (rat study) [16] Improving the gut microbiota (rat study) [17] Inhibiting NF-kappaB (NF-kB) (cell study) [18] Increasing insulin receptor expression (cell study) [19] People mainly use Berberine for: Balanced Blood Sugar LevelsOver time, high blood sugar levels can damage the body’s tissues and organs, leading to various health problems and a shortened lifespan. Many studies show that berberine can significantly reduce blood sugar levels to optimal levels [20].In fact, its effectiveness has been compared to the popular diabetes drug metformin (Glucophage) [21].It seems to work via multiple different mechanisms [22]. Decreases insulin resistance, making the blood sugar lowering hormone insulin more effective. Increases glycolysis, helping the body break down sugars inside cells. Decrease sugar production in the liver. Slows the breakdown of carbohydrates in the gut. Increases the number of beneficial bacteria in the gut.   In one study of 116 diabetic patients, 1000 mg of berberine per day lowered fasting blood sugar by 20%, from 7.0 to 5.6 mmol/L (126 to 101 mg/dL) [23].It also lowered hemoglobin A1c by 12% (a marker for long-term blood sugar levels), and also improved blood lipids like cholesterol and triglycerides [24].According to a big review of 14 studies, berberine may be as effective as oral blood sugar drugs, including metformin, glipizide and rosiglitazone [25].Berberine May Help You Lose WeightSo far, two studies have examined Berberine’s effects on body weight. In a 12-week study in obese individuals, 500 mg taken three times per day caused about 5 pounds of weight loss, on average. The participants also lost an average of 3.6% of their body fat [26].Another more impressive study was conducted in 37 men and women with metabolic syndrome. This study went on for 3 months, and the participants took 300 mg, 3 times per day.The participants dropped their body mass index (BMI) levels from 31.5 to 27.4, or from obese to overweight in only 3 months. They also lost belly fat and improved many health markers [27].The researchers believe that the weight loss is caused by improved function of fat-regulating hormones, such as insulin, adiponectin and leptin.Berberine also appears to inhibit the growth of fat cells at the molecular level [28].More research is needed on the weight loss effects of berberine. It Lowers Cholesterol and May Reduce Your Risk of Heart DiseaseAccording to a review of 11 studies, it can: [29] Lower total cholesterol by 0.61 mmol/L (24 mg/dL). Lower LDL cholesterol by 0.65 mmol/L (25 mg/dL). Lower blood triglycerides by 0.50 mmol/L (44 mg/dL). Raise HDL cholesterol by 0.05 mmol/L (2 mg/dL). It has also been shown to lower apolipoprotein B by 13-15%, which is a very important risk factor [30].According to some studies, berberine works by inhibiting an enzyme called PCSK9. This leads to more LDL being removed from the bloodstream [31].Keep in mind that high blood sugar levels and obesity are also major risk factors for heart disease, all of which seem to be improved with this supplement. How do you take Feel Younger® Berberine? Many of the studies cited on this page used dosages in the range of 900 to 1500 mg per day.It is common to take Berberine multiple times per day, before meals, to optimize absorptionFeel Younger Berberine comes in two high dose capsules of 600mg each. So, an optimal serving would be to take one capsule before each main meal, 2 times a day, e.g. breakfast and dinner. Take with water or any other liquid. Why Use Feel Younger® Berberine? Our Berberine comes from Berberis Aristata, a premium and highly concentrated source of Berberine. As well as containing a very impressive maximum dose of Berberine at a very reasonable price, Feel Younger ® Berberine also has a very moderate amount of extra ingredients compared to other brands. We have no fillers, and just a small amount of an excipient necessary to make the Berberine, which otherwise would have a sticky consistency, into a powder, so it can be available to you in a convenient capsule. We also use a vegetable capsule shell so our product is 100% vegan and vegetarian.Any cautions?Overall, Berberine has an outstanding safety profile.Always check with your healthcare practitioner before making health or lifestyle changes, especially if on any medications. [32].This is especially important if you are currently taking blood sugar lowering medications, as Berberine may also have this effect.Mild adverse digestive effects were observed among a few subjects in studies, such as abdominal discomfort, due to its antimicrobial action (nausea, distension, diarrhea) [33]. It is responsible for 2 extremely important processes in our body. The first process is digestion. No matter how healthy (or not) your diet may be, optimal gut health is important for digestion so that you can absorb nutrients from food efficiently, utilize the building blocks that you need to maintain your body, and efficiently convert the food you eat into energy.Digestive enzymes are proteins that your body makes (mainly in your pancreas, but also in your small intestine, stomach and mouth) to break down food so your body can absorb the nutrients. For example, the digestive enzyme lipase is made to break down fats into glycerol and smaller fatty acids. The digestive enzyme lactase is made to help break down the natural sugar contained within milk which is called lactose. The second extremely important process that your digestive tract is significantly responsible for is your immune system. In fact, around 70% of your immune system is in your gut, which means good gut health is essential for optimal immune function to fight off bacteria, viruses and other pathogens that are dangerous to our bodies and can make us unwell.A healthy gut should contain many billions of “good” bacteria which multiply rapidly and create an acidic environment in the intestines so that the “bad” bacteria isn’t able to proliferate. The balance of these bacteria is often referred to as the gut microbiome (referring to microbes that are present in your digestive system). When your gut is not in good health, it will struggle to get rid of toxins (like endotoxin, believed to be a key factor in premature aging [1]) and substances that are left over from metabolic processes (metabolic waste) that must be excreted because they cannot be used by our bodies. What Impacts the Health of Your Gut & Digestion? If there is a problem with your digestive tract then digestive symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, bloating, excess gas, abdominal pain, acid reflux and more can develop. But poor gut health can cause inflammation throughout the body, leading to a myriad of different health issues. In fact, ancient traditional modalities of health and healing, like Ayurvedic Medicine, actually believed that ‘all’ ill health had its origins in the gut.The gut is also known as an “extension of the brain” because its walls are lined with a system of neurons that help to govern the function of the gastrointestinal tract, which is known as the intrinsic or enteric nervous system. Again, this was known for thousands of years by Ancient Eastern systems like Taoism, the origin of Acupuncture and Chi Kung, who often referred to the gut as the ‘second brain’.Poor gut health has also been linked to the development of autoimmune disorders. There are many things that can damage the health of your gut and result in worsened digestion, such as: Genetic Factors (see Genetic Insights for more info on how your genetics may increase the likelihood of having gut issues.) Poor diet, including excess sugar and processed foods Nutritional Deficiencies Eating in a stressed state, usually leading to eating too quickly and not chewing your food enough Dehydration GastroIntestinal Dysbiosis, especially SIBO where too many bacteria grow in the small intestine (they are mainly meant to be in the large intestine, even ‘good’ bacteria can cause issues if too many are in the small intestine.) Food intolerances (although these maybe a symptom of gut issues, rather than cause)   Frequent Antibiotics Alcohol (along with any other downsides, alcohol kills all bacteria, good and bad, on contact, similar to an antibiotic, which is why it’s used as a disinfectant) Lack of exercise Smoking Lack of or Poor Quality Sleep Chronic Stress Is There a Test for Digestion? There are a variety of tests that can be taken to check your digestive health. Some of these include:Fecal Occult Blood Test, Stool Culture, Barium Meal, drink or enema, CT, CAT or MRI scans, Defecography, Ultrasound, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic procedures and more. Consult your physician if you are worried about symptoms you are experiencing and they will help you to determine the best course of action.Because your gut microbiome is so important to your overall health [2], it’s important to understand what’s going on, and how your gut is balanced.Microbiome tests can be conducted by your physician or at home. Although some tests use blood or saliva, the most comprehensive microbiome tests will require a stool sample.Your stool sample will be sent to a laboratory to be tested where they will analyze the balance of microbes in your gastrointestinal system. This will help you and your doctor understand if there is an imbalance of microbes that is causing problems to your overall health. The Top 8 Ways to Improve Your Gut Health:Here’s the top 8 changes you can make to your lifestyle to help support and improve your gastrointestinal health: Eat a clean, diverse organic diet full of nutrient dense foods. Processed (especially fast) foods cause harm to your gut microbiome [3]. Be sure to include prebiotic foods (a type of fiber that isn’t digested) [4] such as oats, bananas, chicory and asparagus, because they promote the growth of certain types of good bacteria. Note: prebiotic foods can make issues worse IF you have too many bacteria in the small intestine. If you suspect this is the case, get the advice of a professional who specializes in gut health. Eat in a relaxed state, where you will naturally eat slower and chew your food properly. Being in a stressed state is sometimes necessary, but while you are in a stressed state, digestion slows down significantly, and you produce much less of the digestive juices you need to sanitize and process your food, like saliva, stomach acid and bile. You’ll also tend to eat more quickly and not chew enough. So make sure you calm down before you start eating, even if it’s just taking a few deep breaths. This is where the tradition of saying grace comes from: even if you have no religious leanings, you may want to consider it as a way of refocusing your mind to be in a less stressed state, which will help you digest better! And once you’re relaxed, it will be easier to chew your food enough, sometimes as much as 30 times before swallowing, which helps your body to more easily digest the food and absorb as many nutrients as possible [5]. Find out if you’re intolerant to certain foods. Eating foods you're intolerant to will affect your digestive health, resulting in bloating, gas, diarrhea and more [6]. Speak to your physician to organize a skin prick or blood test.Another way to narrow down your intolerances is to record the foods you’ve eaten - be sure to write down how these foods make you feel. Only change one or two things at a time, so that you can easily identify any changes. If you suspect a food, many recommend an elimination diet, where you remove the suspected food for around a week, and then introduce it again, seeing if you notice any symptoms when you add it back into your diet. Limit alcohol consumption. Alcohol can induce changes to the microbiome in the gastrointestinal tract, (due to its ability to kill bacteria, but not kill and often feed yeasts such as candida) which can lead to increased oxidative stress amongst other problems [7]. Reduce your stress. Chronic Stress can seriously affect your guts microbiome composition [8].Occasional Stress is healthy, but ongoing stress is not. If you struggle to relax, there are many ways to lower your stress levels, such as meditation. You can also try supplementing with our Serenity Anti-Stress Support or 5 HTP products. Improve your sleep. Poor sleep and sleep deprivation can affect your microbiome diversity [9]. Our Sleep Aid Plus can also help, and read the page for more info on how to Sleep better naturally. LINK! Drink more water and stay hydrated. This is another way to encourage microbiome diversity [10], and staying hydrated is essential to your overall health, as well as reducing the likelihood of constipation.   Take a digestive enzyme supplement that is also packed full of live “good” bacteria that can help to boost your digestion and gut microbiome: Protease. Responsible for breaking down proteins into amino acids. In a study on piglets, protease supplementation increased nutrient utilization efficiency and growth performance [11].Lipase. Responsible for the breakdown of Fat into fatty acids, ready for your cells to absorb. Lipase is a very important ingredient in a digestive enzyme blend, because many of us struggle to digest the amount of fat we eat.Lactobacillus acidophilus. Often referred to as L. acidophilus, lactobacillus acidophilus is a variety of bacteria that can be found in the intestines which is essential for human health [12].Lactobacillus casei.  A powerful probiotic that is extremely beneficial to the digestive system. A study on patients with chronic constipation found that a probiotic drink containing L.casei helped to see improvements alongside other therapy [13].Lactobacillus plantarum. Found mainly in fermented plant foods such as pickles, L. plantarum has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, blood sugar regulatory, anti-weight gain and antioxidant properties. Studies have shown L. plantarum to reduce the incidence of abdominal pain, loose stools and diarrhea associated with antibiotics [14].Bromelain. Found in pineapples - bromelain is an enzyme that digests protein and has powerful anti-inflammatory properties. It also has pain killing properties [15].Papain. Found in raw papaya plant fruit, papain is a proteolytic enzyme that helps to break down proteins. It has a whole host of benefits, from helping to maintain digestive tract physiology [16], to reducing pain, inflammation and helping to heal wounds quicker. Our digestive enzyme probiotic supplement includes Makzyme-Pro™ Enzyme Blend, which is a formula made up of Protease, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus plantarum. This powerful combination helps to improve your gut health and assists your body in breaking down foods more effectively so that nutrients can be absorbed more efficiently. In addition to Makzyme-Pro™ we have added Bromelain, Papain, Lipase, Lactase and Alpha Galactosidase to further enhance the power and effectiveness of the supplement. We understand that it’s not always easy, nor practical to implement a variety of lifestyle changes - especially all at once. We’d advise that you make as many of the changes listed further up this page as possible, but to do so 1 or 2 at a time, make sure they stick and then move onto more.In the meantime, you can support your body with essential good bacteria it needs to maintain a healthy gut microbiome. Here at Feel younger, we believe in providing strong doses at reasonable prices. Our Digestive Enzyme Probiotic Blend provides a strong and healthy dose of digestive enzymes, as well as billions of live bacteria, and will cost you no more than $27, with discounts available on multiple bottle and subscription purchases. How Do You Take Feel Younger® Digestive Enzyme Probiotic Blend?Take one capsule twice a day.For best results take 20-30 minutes before a meal.Any Cautions? In very rare cases, the combination of enzymes and probiotics in this supplement can cause constipation, nausea, cramps, diarrhea, throat irritation, and women could experience heavier menstrual bleeding Scientific References https://jneuroinflammation.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12974-019-1564-7 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4290017/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30945554/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18215222/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7219460/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6767923/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26695747/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7213601/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6779243/ https://academic.oup.com/jn/article/152/1/171/6395031 https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2405654515300354 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2519286/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14631461/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9815476/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3529416/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23524622/

What is Magnesium?Magnesium is an important mineral that’s crucially important for your body to function properly. It’s the fourth most abundant mineral found in your body[2] and it’s essential to all living cells and vital for myriad physiological functions[3].The reason why the benefits are so numerous and varied is because of the many ways that optimal levels of magnesium are necessary to function optimally. For instance, magnesium is required for the production of ATP (the main source of energy in our cells)[4], and the production of DNA, RNA, and proteins[5].Magnesium plays an important role in cell-to-cell communication[6].Over 300 enzymes (biological catalysts that make chemical processes happen in our body) require the presence of magnesium to function properly[7].Because of its positive charge, magnesium stabilizes the cellular membranes[8].How common is magnesium deficiency? While a deficiency severe enough to warrant medical attention is relatively rare, some health professionals believe that suboptimal levels of magnesium are relatively common, with estimates as high as 75% of people in the US not having a sufficient intake,[16] let alone an optimal intake, which has yet to be precisely defined. As with any essential nutrient, here at Feel Younger we believe that it’s always ideal to test your magnesium levels to be sure if it would be beneficial to take. The best tests for Magnesium are generally considered to be: RBC (red blood cell) or intracellular magnesium, to get a true understanding of overall deficiency. The more common tests are plasma or serum magnesium, which are much cheaper and easily available, but which are less of a true reflection of your body’s stores of magnesium, as your body will tend to keep your plasma and serum levels in a tight range in all but severe cases of deficiency.RBC (red blood cell) or intracellular magnesium tests, on the other hand, are considered to give a more accurate indication of true, overall levels of magnesium stores in the cells, which is what actually matters when assessing if levels are optimum. If you’re unable to access these tests however, then, given that Magnesium is a natural substance that is very safe for the vast majority of the population (see below for exceptions), it seems reasonable to try it, if you would like to support your body to Feeling Younger and Healthier, especially if you identify with some of the early signs of deficiency listed above. What causes Magnesium Deficiency? The most commonly understood causes of Magnesium Deficiency include[17]: a poor diet type 2 diabetes digestive problems such as Crohn’s disease long-term vomiting or diarrhoea kidney problems long-term use of diuretics some medicines (for example, fluid tablets and medicines for ulcers or reflux) can cause low magnesium levels if taken for long periods alcoholism In addition, some healthcare professionals point to the fact that, even in the case of a relatively good diet, it’s an established fact that the soil in which our food grows is 75%-90% lower in essential minerals like magnesium than it was 100 years ago.[18]So whether you’re eating plants, which can only get the minerals from the soil, or whether you’re eating animals that ate those plants, the results is the same: the food we’re eating is more mineral depleted, and therefore magnesium depleted, than it was up until relatively recently in our evolution. Finally, there is strong evidence that stress itself depletes magnesium[19]. This creates a vicious cycle where stress depletes magnesium, and then lowered magnesium reduces stress. Presumably, in order to break this cycle, you would need to replenish magnesium as well as reduce stress. What’s the Best Form of Magnesium to Take? There are many different forms of magnesium available, including citrate, sulfate, oxide, chloride and malate. However, the form that’s considered the best, the most easily absorbed by the body, is Magnesium Glycinate.Forms of magnesium that are less well absorbed and cheaper, like for instance magnesium oxide, have a laxative effect. As a general rule, the less well absorbed the form of magnesium is, the more of a laxative effect it’ll have. When consuming mineral supplements, the best form is generally considered to be when it’s chelated (chemically bonded) to an amino acid. Why is this? Because minerals in their raw form are inorganic, meaning that the body does not recognise them as food, often doesn’t absorb them well, and then also struggles to excrete them.Conversely, when a mineral is bonded to an amino acid, or chelated, this makes the mineral and Organic Mineral i.e. it’s the same form found in food, and so your body recognises the magnesium as food, and absorbs it a lot better.Magnesium Glycinate then, the type sold by Feel Younger, is considered the best form of magnesium because it’s bonded to Glycine, an abundant amino acid in the body which has a whole host of it’s own benefits[20], including: Glycine is one of the building blocks of the body’s most powerful natural antioxidant, glutathione Necessary to make collagen, for healthy skin Can improve sleep quality Can help keep blood sugar balanced May protect the liver and the heart Can protect against muscle loss. Although Glycine is not considered as an essential amino acid, because the body is capable of making its own, if necessary, many healthcare professionals consider it a good idea to increase glycine intake, either through natural foods like bone broth, or via supplementation.Feel Younger is proud to present our Magnesium Glycinate, containing 425mg of Elemental Magnesium per serving, which is close to the recommended daily amount for most people, enough to make up for the shortfall in almost any diet. How do you take Feel Younger ® Magnesium Glycinate?Ideally take with water directly before eating a meal, for maximum absorption, but can be taken any time, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Are there any cautions?Though magnesium supplements are generally considered safe, you should check with a healthcare professional before taking them, especially if you have a medical condition. The mineral supplement may be unsafe for people who take certain diuretics, heart medications, or antibiotics[21].Most people who take magnesium supplements don’t experience side effects, but magnesium can cause gut-related issues such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting, especially when used in large doses[22].It’s important to note that people with kidney issues are at a higher risk of experiencing adverse effects related to magnesium supplements[23].Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Wholefood Colostrum Capsules 90 count - 500 mg capsules (Immune Tree)

Ok I love colostrum and the immune tree are brilliant for me ! I spend an awful lot on supplements but I always have my immune tree colostrum and it definitely improves my immune system , I suffer from Addison's ( major and total adrenal insufficiency) I don't produce any of my own cortisol and it's exhausting even with replacing with hydrocortisone as it's a fixed dose three times daily and not my body regulating the dose. However since I began to take colostrum every day I have indeed noticed some increase in stamina and definitely improved immunity. I'd highly recommend this colostrum to any one and everyone wanting that extra boost for the immune system.

Dragon Herbs Young Lungs 100 capsules 500mg each

Take the mucus-melting, phlegm-expelling properties of Free The Lungs, combine with the cough-disappearing effect of Golden Air, add the ability to breathe deeper, and I still would not have encapsulated all the benefits that Young Lungs seems to provide. This formula has blown me away. For total respiratory health, this is THE product.
