I was a bit overwhelmed by the powerful smell when I first used it but soon got used to it and grew to really like it, very potent but gorgeous. I am so happy I tried this product as I had tried it all, and I expected I would have to avoid the sun all summer. Instead I can play in the waves and have perfectly even skin! Works perfectly with the ELS with zinc for keeping pigmentation perfect. Obliterated hyperpigmentation in ONE WEEK I have really pale skin so every little discoloration shows. I recently developed awful sun spots on my nose as well as embarrassing discoloration on the upper lip area. I tried tons of commercial products and even a laser facial but didn't see any visible results. Within one week of applying Dew Dab morning and night (along with Soothsayer serum, another lifesaver!) It was hard, painful and not going anywhere. I needled it everyday, stopped eating fat, gave it Reiki for hours for 2 years. A couple of nights ago, I used a lot of dew dab in a fit of frustration. The next day, it opened up and oozed out and finally after 2 years, it is gone!!! can't believe it and so thankful. saved my skin Hello, I wanted to share a story about dew dab so that other people can benefit from it. I was seeing a chinese medicine doctor to help support my kidneys after a near total collapse of energy. After seeing her for 2 years, I was sitting in the bath and felt a very painful eurption at the back of my leg (near my kidney points). I got out of the tub and it was covered with a dark sludgy sand. Gross. At the back of my leg there was a dark open hole. I got very shy about wearing dresses and shorts that summer. Nadine recommended dew dab a few times on a day on the kidney point and within a couple of days the hole started closing up, within a few weeks, it was considerably less visible. by the end of summer, no one could tell that ever anything there. How does it work? I am dying to know? Actually, it is not important, I am just happy that it is in my life and skin issues are not an issue anymore. This stuff is no joke Nadine, your concoctions are truly magical! I have hormonal pigmentation issues from multiple years on The Pill (yuck, never again) and a bit of sun damage. While I am realistic and do not expect to totally eliminate these issues (hormonal pigmentation is very hard to get rid of), I can tell you that Dew Dab has already lightened and brightened my skin within a few days of use! Keep in mind, as with all LL products, this is very concentrated, one drop is all I use (I overdid it the first night and the aroma was a bit potent for a while....ha!). So Amazing I would never be without this; this is my first of Nadine's products that I have tried, and all I can say is, WOW. Within two weeks of using the Dew Dab, my skin is looking just really beautiful--this is so great for little blemishes, uneven tone, fine lines and on and on. My skin looks tight and refined (almost resurfaced, actually), the tone is very even, and this really does seem to be fading an old little scar on my cheek, as well as a bit of cuperose that I have around my nose and on my cheeks--I never thought anything other than a laser treatment would do that; I was not expecting this to work so well. I use a lot of high end, raw and organic products--many of which are very good--but this product is just at another level of excellence entirely, and that's saying a lot. Previous to using Dew Dab I was using prescription creams to no avail. Dew Dab has come to the rescue and went to work quickly and efficiently. Love it. I use it morning and night to keep my skin happy. The real thing and more! This is the first of Nadine's products I tried. It had an instant and magical impact on me. As soon as I applied a touch to a facial blemish I was compelled to lie down in my backyard and quickly fell into a reverie - it was like a sedative. It felt ok just to drink in the moment for as long as I wanted. Birds of all local varieties bgan to chirp and sing and fly over me across the yard, sometimes swooping really low! Review(s) Great daily sunscreen For me, I like to wear a sunscreen daily on my face, neck and chest. But finding one with the right texture has been tough. This sunscreen is exactly what I have been looking for! Now, I do notice that my face looks slightly paler after I apply it, but it is not at all what I would describe as "chalky". Another positive is that I have found I can wear this on its own without applying any other moisturizer under it. Also, this is NOT greasy and has not caused any increase in clogged pores. Absorbs quickly. I have applied make up over top with no problems at all. The texture and smell are all really pleasant as well. Has kind of a creamy, slightly sweet smell. again perfection This is the perfect product for summer! I tested this last weekend and I got the perfect amount of healthy sun exposure, didn't burn, and it stayed put despite sweating and swimming! Plus I love that it has nourishing ingredients. I have always regretted that I went to lengths to put natural products on my body and then put a chemical sunscreen or synthetic sunblock ontop. Most were ineffective, waxy, and questionably safe. I tried several "natural" brands but many were like wearing a layer of grease. And last summer and ended up with a white blotch on my face from a sunblock that ran...no more experimenting! So I am still going to wear a sunhat and wear additional mineral powder and protective clothing, but I guess this could be an interesting test! No idea how much SPF this sunscreen has and quite frankly, I don't believe anything above 25 works anyway. The bottle is small. I wonder how long this will last me in the tropics. WISH ME LUCK! Shall my face remain freckle-free? Test 1: SUCCESSFUL! I am reporting back after my first test. I am in the tropics and I am a pale, coppery/blonde Western European female. No pigment in my skin. I have been asked if I am an albino (which I am not). Recently, I have decided not to use artificial spray-tans anymore and to just try and get some more color from the sun. Who needs the parabens and chemicals? After watching a video with Nadine talking beautifully about how the sun communicates with our skin, I felt ready and inspired to give it a go. My skin is not used to the sun. Sooo I went to the beach with a friend yesterday morning!! So far, this sunscreen is proving to really work! This is the first time I actually sunbathed on this tropical island and I only used the sunscreen on certain parts of my body. I did not think I would immediately burn the untreated parts (or got distracted and mesmerized by the beauty of the Caribbean ocean and decided not to worry about it), but I still wanted to protection on my knees and feet. The reason I did not apply the sunscreen on my whole body is cause the bottle is a little small and I need the sunscreen for an all-day outdoor event this weekend! So I did not want to use it all and therefore did not protect all of my body this time! I did not use sunscreen on my legs and I did not think I was in the sun for very long. Sure enough, in the evening, the parts that I had forgotton to apply sunscreen to are BRIGHT RED and stinging from a sunburn and the spots where I applied the sunscreen are still normal! Yes, I have bright red, fried lobster colored legs with white knees and feet! LOL! My friend is laughing so hard cause she used commercial sunscreen and forgot her feet, so her feet got a sunburn. So her feet match my legs and mine match hers! We both look silly! She has red feet and I have red legs with white feet. All the places where I put the 'Everybody loves the Sunshine' sunscreen are still normal!! Amazing! I wore a sunhat and also used a special sun parasol for my upper body. So my upper body is hardly affected by the sun. Luckily, Aloe Vera grows here naturally, so I am treating my sun burnt areas with that. Ouchee! It hurts like hell! I am applying fresh Aloe gel and juice from leaves 3 times a day and my skin just soaks it up! So... I know my lobster areas will be ok. As far as the SPF. You can apply it thicker or thinner, so it's up to you. It smells great, feels smooth and applies easily and evenly. The best ever. If this pale girl is protected on a tropical island on a day with clear sky (we only had a palm tree giving us some shade)... basically this sunscreen will work for everybody. Albino's included. Just make sure you apply it well and don't overdo the sun exposure! Don't forget any spots! Since this is a physical, zinc-based block, you will look a little pale from it (with a generous application). But that can be easily fixed by adding a layer of mineral pigment make-up. So for my face, I just use this sunscreen as a moisturizer and primer to wear underneath my mineral make-up. Works beautifully! I can't afford not to wear sunscreen, so I HAVE to wear some pigmented natural powder over it, if I don't want to look like a ghost. For my body, I don't mind that so much and I apply it less thickly. I have tried several natural, zinc-based sunscreens and this one is BY FAR the best ever!! I am so pleased! It smells GREAT! Please make bigger bottles and thank you for this excellent product!! I'm gonna want a gallon! best sunscreen ever I bought it at the Big carrot and i found it to be the best sunscreen ever. i'm Asian and have light skin that burn easily. I went away on Canada Day long weekend to montreal where the sun was scorching hot. I applied it to my face, neck and shoulders and i didn't get burnt or turn red. So the next day , I decided to conduct a test by applying it only on my face/neck and leave my shoulders exposed with the drugstore sunscreen. Well what a surprised- the skin that didn't have the living Libation suncreen on it got red and burnt while my face+ neck was not affected. Wow, this stuff is the greatest. Magic Dear Nadine and Ron, I have never, never, never written to a company regarding their product before. I bought your Everybody Loves Sunshine on a whim after trying to find sunscreen without all of the harmful additives. Your little bottle comes and the first test run was 3 days in Joshua Tree with 100 degree heat and unrelenting sunshine. I was very sceptical to say the least. I told my husband, I will be the quinea pig, you use sunscreen in case it doesn't work. I applied it religiously, and only burned if I missed a spot. Next test, southern California day at the beach, same thing, I only burned if I missed an area. I will be ordering more and telling all of my friends and family. This little bottle went with my family and I all over Canada. We loved it!!! We all came home from our travels and everyone couldn't believe the nice deep broze colored tans we had. I just wish I had this years ago...now Nadine please make a product for evening pigmentation so those of us who didn't have this years ago can look as beautiful as you :) Very effective so far :-) I just started using this, summer comes in random bursts here in Ireland and it hasn't gone beyond 20 degrees C, but so far so good, it smells lovely, the lemony, gingery turmeric scents come through and it softens to smell quite floral, on my skin at least. It protected my skin well, I had to reapply it often, as I caught the sun a bit when I wasn't diligent enough. My skin is darker than the average Irish skin, so if you're pale, i think it would be wise to apply often. A little goes a very long way. I put it on after sun exposure too and it leaves my skin really well moisturized, I'm really happy to have found this blend, thanks! She starts with history and philosophy, moves to science, and ends with a mixture of botany and cosmetology...or maybe I should say cosmoetics. (When you read it you’ll understand.) There is a lot of science in here. She cites biology, dermatology, microbiology, and botany research studies to back up the assertions she makes in the book: why we need nature, why we really should toss most of our drug store and department store cosmetics, and why clean living and plant products are better alternatives. Apply a small amount of oil to a clean cloth and carefully run the cloth between each tine to remove debris. If there is build-up from hair products on the comb, use a retired toothbrush to gently scrub it away. For fine toothed combs, try using a piece of unwaxed dental floss between the tines to work out any debris. Using a soft, absorbent cloth, wipe away any remaining oil.
