About: Developed by William Davis, MD. Author of "Wheat Belly" and "Super Gut". Lactobacillus reuteri supports GI health, bowel function and immune function* Can be used to make William Davis, MD. Superfood L. reuteri yogurt/cultured dairy. MyReuteri 10 billion standard dosage is suitable as a daily probiotic or for use to make cultured dairy. MyReuteri 20 billion is ideal for those seeking a higher-potency dosage, and can also be used to make cultured dairy. MyReuteri Formulation Based on the science of the Gut-Skin Axis, doctor-developed MyReuteri is formulated with LRDR L. Reuteri and FOS. Lactobacillus reuteri LRDR™  Our proprietary LRDR™ strain of Lactobacillus reuteri provides an important microbe that the great majority are missing in their gut. This microbe not only resides in the colon but also the upper GI tract. Daily incorporation of L. reuteri LRDR™  helps you support gut health and gut balance.* FOS (Fructooligosaccharides) MyReuteri includes the prebiotic fiber FOS which serves as food for the Lactobacillus reuteri microbes.  The FOS in MyReuteri supports L. Reuteri cultured daily fermentation (aka “L. reuteri yogurt”) for home yogurt-making. Note: *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.  This product is NOT recommended for use in pregnancy.   These products are designed to supplement a healthy diet and lifestyle, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If any adverse reactions occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider.  MyReuteri FAQs by Oxiceutics Product Information What is in MyReuteri? MyReuteri contains high counts of the important gastrointestinal microbe, Lactobacillus reuteri, that Dr. Davis has been talking about, making yogurt with, and studying in humans and animals. Because L. reuteri, as well as many other bacterial species, is susceptible to common antibiotics, many have lost this microbe and thereby all of its potential benefits. MyReuteri is Oxicuetics way of restoring this important microbe. Does MyReuteri have to be refrigerated? While it does not hurt to refrigerate MyReuteri, there is no need to. It is helpful, however, to store in a relatively cool area out of direct sunlight and, of course, with the cap on, as want the microbes to avoid exposure to moisture. My product arrived hot. Is the probiotic still good? The probiotic strains in MyReuteri can start to die off around 110°F (43°C). MyReuteri is stored at room temperature. So even if you received the product warm, it is still good. Should I take MyReuteri with food or without food? And any specific time of day? MyReuteri can be taken with food or without, as it does not impact significantly on the number of surviving microbes. The only precaution to take is to not consume theprobiotic capsules of MyReuteri while sipping or eating a food that is very hot, e.g.,coffee, tea, hot soups, as the heat can kill the microbes and may reduce potentialbenefits. Also, the only issue with time of day is that some people feel a little sleepy if taken early in the day. If this happens to you, simply shift the time you take MyReuteri to evening or bedtime. Why are there such high numbers of microbes in MyReuteri? Oxiceutics' experience has been that, in general, greater numbers of microbes with probiotic properties provide greater effects than smaller numbers. After all, the human gastrointestinal microbiome numbers around 100 trillion. It may reasonably therefore require tens to hundreds of billions to generate meaningful effects. Because of the effort and expense of generating such “dose-response” observations, the understanding of this phenomenon in the microbiome science world is limited. Until we gain a better understanding, we include counts of microbes that we believe yield significant benefits. Why do we need to add inulin in making MyReuteri yogurt? Inulin, a prebiotic fibre in common foods, supports Lactobacillus reuteri in lactose digestion. If you have a reaction to inulin yogurt, consult your doctor. Can I take MyReuteri in combination with other nutritional supplements? Yes, but with some exceptions. Because MyReuteri is a living microbe, we avoid taking it with anything that has antibiotic effects. This includes any supplement containing iodine, any supplement you may be taking to manage intestinal dysbiosis, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), or fungal overgrowth. This includes supplements such as berberine, curcumin (turmeric), and essential oils taken orally. Other supplements such as vitamin D, fish oil, magnesium and many others are perfectly compatible. Is it safe to take MyReuteri with other probiotics? Yes, it is perfectly safe to combine MyReuteri with other probiotics including with Gut to Glow. I am experiencing some nausea and stomach upset with MyReuteri. What does this mean and should I stop taking it? This is a common experience with any probiotic and is due to antagonistic effects that L.reuteri and other probiotic species introduce against unhealthy microbes in thegastrointestinal tract. One way to deal with this is to reduce the dose, e.g., reduce from two capsules per day to one capsule per day or even one capsule every-other-day. You can also take your dose with food to disperse the bacteria. Should you continue to experience difficulty, consult your doctor but ask specifically about the possibility that you have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, SIBO, i.e., unhealthy bacterial species that have colonised your stomach and small intestine. When a beneficial microbe such as L. reuteri is introduced, unhealthy bacterial species begin to die and this can yield some unpleasant effects. Your doctor may have additional steps you can take that can help you better tolerate MyReuteri, as well as other probiotics and fermented foods, once this phenomenon is addressed. Should I anticipate side-effects from taking MyReuteri? Beyond the nausea, bloating, and diarrhea that can occur when initiating any probiotic, we know of no side effects of supplementing MyReuteri. You may have heard Dr. Davis say that nearly all hunter-gatherer humans and mammals have this microbe–it’s most modern humans that have lost this microbe and thereby its potential benefits. Restoring factors that should have been part of the human experience all along is therefore typically not associated with adverse effects. Why have modern people lost L. reuteri, the microbial species contained in MyReuteri? Modern people have been overexposed to antibiotics such as amoxicillin, cefazolin, and gentamicin. L. reuteri, the microbial species contained in MyReuteri, is very susceptible to common antibiotics and has therefore been eradicated from the gastrointestinal microbiomes of most people. There may be other factors that contribute to its disappearance such as herbicide and pesticide residues in food, food additives with antimicrobial properties such as food preservatives and emulsifying (mixing) agents, and various pharmaceuticals. Even German microbiologist, Dr. Gerhard Reuter, who initially discovered this microbe in the breastmilk of a breastfeeding mother in 1962 made the observation over his subsequent 40-year academic career, that it became harder and harder to recover this organism from breastmilk, stool, and other body locations over this time period. More recent analyses have corroborated Dr. Reuter’s observation: L. reuteri has been lost by many people. Why do you recommend that we not take MyReuteri during pregnancy? MyReuteri provides the microbe, L. reuteri, at relatively high counts, as does Gut toGlow. While all mammals, including humans, are meant to have this beneficial microbe as part of their gastrointestinal microbiome, we do not know if the high counts provided by these products (or as the yogurt that you ferment from these products) is safe in the setting of pregnancy. Recall that women can be given oxytocin intravenously to provoke uterine contraction at term pregnancy, causing the baby to be delivered. (L. reuteri has been shown in animal studies to increase oxytocin.) We therefore do not know if it is safe to consume higher intakes of L. reuteri in pregnant females. Can I make “yogurt” with MyReuteri? Yes, absolutely. You can use the microbes in MyReuteri as a starter for yogurt making.  Of course, it is not really yogurt in the conventional sense, but a fermented dairy product that looks and smells like yogurt. In our analyses of the yogurts made from MyReuteri, we obtain approximately 300 billion CFUs (microbial counts) per ½-cup serving. Yogurt made from MyReuteri will be more sour than conventional yogurt because the extended fermentation method we use to achieve high bacterial counts also converts nearly all the lactose to lactic acid, accounting for the acidic or sour flavour. Feel free to add blueberries, strawberries, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, and healthy non-caloric sweeteners such as monk fruit, allulose, or stevia to soften the sourness. Why does the powder in the MyReuteri capsule sometimes appear clumpy and is it still okay?  In some instances, excessive humidity can cause the powder inside the capsule to clump together, however, formulation remains viable and effective.  If using to make yogurt, use a spoon to gently break up the powder before mixing.  Be sure to keep the bottle tightly closed and keep the desiccant moisture-absorbing pack in the bottle, and store in a cool dry place or refrigerator.   Why choose MyReuteri 10 billion standard dosage?  MyReuteri 10 billion standard dosage is suitable as a daily probiotic or for use to make cultured dairy.   Why do some people prefer MyReuteri 20 billion double-strength?   MyReuteri 20 billion is ideal for those seeking a higher-potency dosage, and can also be used to make cultured dairy.   How does MyReuteri 10 billion compare to other L. reuteri products?  Only MyReuteri is the authentic L. Reuteri by Dr. Davis and designed for use as both an oral probiotic and for use as a starter culture.  Because it is made in the USA, MyReuteri avoids the temperature variations and carbon foodprint of ocean shipping.  Is MyReuteri 20 billion a good value at $60?    MyReuteri 20 billion provides 50% additional LRDR L. reuteri for only 25% more cost, an excellent value on a per CFU basis.  Why does MyReuteri include magnesium stearate?  Safe and widely used in supplements, medicines and foods, a small amount of magnesium stearate is included to facilitate consistency in the production process.

If any adverse reactions occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider.  FAQs by Oxiceutics Gut to Glow Why is Lactobacillus reuteri included in Gut to Glow? Oxiceutics' proprietary L. reuteri LRDR™  is included in Gut to Glow primarily to support gut balance.* Lactobacillus reuteri is a super microbe that has the ability to take up residence not only in the colon but also the upper GI tract. Can I combine Gut to Glow with my current collagen? You can combine or you can replace. Clinical studies show that much lower doses of marine sourced collagen hydrolysates are needed compared to other sources, as it is especially enriched in the bioactive peptides needed for skin and health benefits. How long will it take before I start to see improvements in my skin? An increase in moisture, and smoother skin within several weeks of starting is often reported. Reduced appearance of wrinkles typically becomes noticeable after 8 weeks. Of course, results can vary due to baseline skin condition and other factors. Remember, it's taken a while to get here, so patience on the journey is key. Typically, supplements take around 3 months to experience most benefits. Oxiceutics' expectation is that you will begin seeing gradual improvements sooner than that. For best results, stay consistent with taking 4 capsules/day. Are there interactions with other medications? We always recommend that you check with your health care professional prior to starting something new. However, as Gut to Glow provides nutrients that our bodies should be producing or obtaining from diet, the likelihood of an adverse reaction to any of the 4 ingredients is extremely rare. Why do probiotics often cause GI disturbances when you start taking them? I have noticed feeling a little gassy. Is this from Gut to Glow? Probiotics can cause GI disturbances as you are initially introducing good bacteria into your system, in an effort to support gut balance. While the "bad" bacteria is leaving, bloating, gas and other GI disturbances can be temporarily experienced. Lactobacillus reuteri is an important and powerful microbe that is, in a sense, “cleaning” your gut environment. It is totally normal to experience some gas and possible diarrhea at the beginning as it introduces changes into the intestinal microbiome. This is good news and will typically dissipate once your microbiome is used to the supplementation. If there is a probiotic microbe in Gut to Glow capsules, do they need to be refrigerated? There is no harm in refrigerating the supplements, but it is not necessary. They should, however, be stored in a cool, dry environment, out of the direct sun and with the jar kept closed to keep moisture away from the capsules. Can men take Gut to Glow? Absolutely! All the components of Gut to Glow are perfectly compatible with male physiology. Many of the same benefits that females experience can also be experienced by males. Why does the package say that Gut to Glow is best taken with a meal containing fats or oils? Fats and oils can assist with the absorption of the carotenoid component, astaxanthin. This could be olive oil in a salad, butter, a fatty meat or fish, or other oils or fats. If you include a fish oil supplement in your daily routine, taking it simultaneously with Gut to Glow is another option to assist with astaxanthin absorption. I read that hyaluronic acid taken orally is not digestible by humans. Is this true? Yes, it is true. Yet hyaluronic acid taken orally has been demonstrated to increase skin moisture and exert other healthy skin benefits. Although humans lack the digestive enzymes to break down hyaluronic acid, microbes in your colon break the hyaluronic acid molecules down into small fragments that are readily absorbed. We are therefore reliant on intestinal microbes for the absorption of hyaluronic acid. What is a nutricosmetic? A nutricosmetic marries the fields of nutrition and cosmetics. It is a nutritional supplement ingested to benefit skin, hair, or nails. Nutricosmetics support a beauty that starts from within. How do I take Gut to Glow? Oxiceutics recommend taking 2 capsules in the morning and 2 in the evening, with a fat containing meal. Some people prefer to take all 4 together. Consistency in taking 4 daily is most important, so please follow what works best with your daily regimen. What allergens are in Gut to Glow? Gut to Glow contains marine collagen sourced from fish. Gut to Glow is made without milk, egg, shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts, or soy. Is this safe to take while I am trying to get pregnant, pregnant or nursing? Oxiceutics recommend not taking Gut to Glow if you are trying to get pregnant, are pregnant, or are nursing. If I miss a dose, should I double up? If you forget to take one of your morning doses, it is fine to double up in the evening. There is no need to exceed 4 capsules a day, as Gut to Glow is formulated in scientifically backed amounts of each ingredient (in 4 capsules a day) for maximum benefit. I currently take a probiotic. Should I continue taking that? There is no reason to discontinue use as different microbes provide different benefits. As important as Lactobacillus reuteri LRDR™  is, it is important to take all steps in supporting gut balance. Why do I need to take 4 capsules/day? Oxiceutics optimised formulation is based on science. Studies have supported the amounts that Oxiceutics recommend in a daily dose for the most efficacious benefits. How long will one jar of Gut to Glow last? Each jar is a 30-day supply. There are 120 capsules in a jar and we recommend taking 4/day.
