Coenzyme Q10 is stored in mitochondria, structures found within cells responsible for the generation of energy (in the form of a molecule called ATP). Tissues with a high-energy requirement (heart, liver, skeletal muscles) contain higher numbers of mitochondria within their cells. I decided to try it after reading the information about the benefits. After 3 weeks my worryingly high blood pressure had returned to normal. More importantly to me however, I noticed huge improvements in my health after 25 years suffering M.E. I am now working full time, swimming, horse-riding, and going ski-ing this year. A Brown | 14/09/2012 I had a heart attack July 2010 and as a result I had a stent fitted and was put on the standard heart medications including Statins.I continued to train in the gym doing cardio and weights however I found that I had a lot less energy and strength. I suffered really bad pain in my shoulders and thighs, the pain was so bad that I seriously thought of stopping training as even swimming left me in pain.
