    Product Description

Thomas - Artisan Raw Greek Vanilla Fir Honey 5kg (Raw, Organic, Runny)

    Description

    What makes Vanilla Fir special?

    • It also has a much lower level of sugars than other honeys, being particularly low in glucose meaning it usually never crystallises.
    • Vanilla Fir only comes from the region of Mount Mainalo in the Peleponnese in Greece, no where else in the world.
    • It isn't produced every year. 2019 is a good year but other years there is little or none available.
    • This honey is exceptionally low in moisture - just over 14% (we had our batch analysed).
    • It is the only Greek honey with Protected Designation of Origin - this is the only place in the world you will find this honey.
This is a honey that I thought we would never find - it is very rare and very highly valued and stock is normally snapped up in advance.  However, this year has been a good year for honey (so there is more available) and Thomas has persuaded his cousin/friend Giotis (never quite sure of the distinction in Greece, Thomas seems to have a lot of cousins!).

Giotis lives close to Mount Mainlo and has agreed to supply some Vanilla Fir via Thomas. So that is how we are able to introduce Vanilla Fir to you from the Black Fir tree that grows on Mount Mainalo in the Peleponnese in Greece. I wouldn't normally sell honey from a beekeeper I haven't met but Thomas has vouched for him and I have had the honey analysed (and that's all good, no heating and it has all the key characteristics of a Vanilla Fir). This honey has been granted Protected Designation of Origin, because of its uniqueness and rarity. It comes from no where else in the world apart from the area around Mount Mainalo.

Flavour: Thomas' Raw Greek Vanilla Fir honey Vanilla fir is a thick, earthy, creamy honeydew honey which has a flavour with hints of vanilla and caramel.

Colour: When runny, the colour of this honey is quite light, with shades of pearl or caramel.

Where it comes from: This honey only comes from the fir forests of Mount Mainalon in the Peloponnese in the region of Arcadia, no where else in the world. This is where the rare Black Fir tree grows.

More on honeydew honey: Fir tree honey is known as a honeydew, because it is from the sap and resin of the tree not from flower nectar. Honeydews are high in oligosaccharides, which are known for their prebiotic qualities- aiding digestion.

About the beekeeper: It was brought to us by Thomas and his cousin, who has the hives for the Vanilla Fir honey. Thomas is a young Greek beekeeper, who is planning to take over his family's hives, which are in secluded forest glades in and around mountains of central Greece. He has great enthusiasm for raw honey and natural hive products.

Please know that raw honey does crystalise and this is a natural process that occurs mainly due to the natural glucose in raw honey.

Thomas - Artisan Raw Greek Wild Thyme Honey 1kg (Raw, Organic, Runny)
Raw Honey Shop Thomas - Artisan Raw Greek Wild Thyme Honey 1kg (Raw, Organic, Runny)
Description Thomas' raw thyme honey is another beautiful raw honey from our Greek beekeeper, Thomas and his family.  It has a mild and grassy foretaste like dry mountain herbs (You can really taste the thyme!), breaking into a large, fruity flavour similar to sweet and sour summer fruits such as raspberries and red currants, then dissipating quickly to a mild and clean finish.  Very slight overnotes of the soft sweetness of fennel or aniseed without the strong flavour of liquorice. Strong hints of Greek mountain tea (Ironwort or Shepherd's tea). The aroma is mellow and caramel sweet, and the mouthfeel is thick and almost oily, similar to sunflower honey. You can see the bits in this honey - only very coarsely filtered. Colour: This particular honey is a very light sandy brown and not transparent like other varieties. Where does the honey come from? This variety of thyme honey comes from the mountains on the island of Euboea on the more barren slopes of the mountains that run down the centre of the island. Who produces the honey? This thyme honey comes from Thomas' father Giorgios and uncle Kostas. They are a family of traditional Greek beekeepers. What about the plant the honey comes from? It comes from bees feeding on the small flowers of the thyme plant. The thyme plant is an evergreen herb with many culinary, medicinal and ornamental uses. It tends to be found at higher altitudes as a perennial bush, it is harvested and used fresh, dried and even the oil extracted for use as a medicine.Common Uses: Thyme honey is particularly good to use on the skin to exfoliate or help clear acne and blemishes. It is also very versatile, and can be used in recipes such as salads, an accompaniment with cheeses, as a glaze for meat and it's beautiful in a light herbal tea. Thyme Honey Facts: Thyme honey is a favourite among many cultures, especially those of the Mediterranean and Middle East. The herb is widely used in cooking and traditional cures so naturally the honey is widely popular too. Please know that raw honey does crystalise and this is a natural process that occurs mainly due to the natural glucose in raw honey.

It would pair particularly well with white, creamy cheeses or a rich vanilla ice cream. Colour: This particular honey is dark brown when runny, turning a lovely, creamy yellow when crystalised. They generally live between 100 and 1000 years, sometimes even longer, the oldest one to date was found to be 4900 years old!Common Uses: Pine honey is particularly good to use in Greek yoghurts, breads and ice cream, but perhaps best is to simply enjoy this delicious prized honey on its own. Thomas - Raw Organic Greek Red Fir - with a Honeycomb Chunk/Active 23 450g
Raw Honey Shop Thomas - Raw Organic Greek Red Fir - with a Honeycomb Chunk/Active 23 450g
Description Here are the product details: You will find this honey a deep red colour with a rich, fruity flavour and very smooth. The hives are on Mount Kaliakouda in central Greece where the honey is harvested at an altitude of over 1500 metres. You can enjoy this truly exceptional honey with a delicious chunk of chewy honeycomb.More on honeydew honey: This is a dark thick runny honey. It is known as a honeydew, because it originates from the sap of the tree not from flower nectar.  Honeydews are high in oligosaccharides, which are known for their prebiotic qualities - aiding the beneficial bacteria in the microbiome, the gut flora that scientists have found is crucial for good health.About the beekeeper: It was brought to us by Thomas, a young Greek beekeeper, who is planning to take over his family's hives, which are in secluded forest glades in and around mountains of central Greece, like on Mount Kaliakouda. He has great enthusiasm for raw honey and natural hive products. How Raw Honey is different from Processed Honey - Raw honey generally means the honey has not been processed, it has come from the hive to the jar with minimal interference. Most supermarket honey is highly processed to make it look more attractive, usually it has been largely drained of pollen, heated and blended. Raw honey tends to vary from batch to batch, this is because it is not processed in a factory, filtered or heated to look homogeneous. Raw honey changes with the season and climate, the soil, what the bees feed on, and the temperament of the colonies. Discovering this Red Fir was an adventure.I'd been looking for a nice honey for a honeycomb chunk product for a couple of years. Then on a little adventure back in June (2023) the ideal honey was revealed to me. This is the story behind the honey. One evening Thomas told me 'Tomorrow we are going to Mount Kaliakouda. You are going to love it there.'So, this is the story......It was early one morning when Thomas and his Uncle Stefanos called for me from my hotel.  We headed from the plains of Thessaly towards some mountains.Stefanos was driving in his pickup truck, which was full of the aromas of honey and beeswax. Soon we were crossing gorges on the edge of the plain and then the ascent started. Through little mountain villages, we passed with old guys sitting drinking coffee and watching the world pass by.Higher and higher we went, twisting and turning through hairpin bends that sent me sliding from one side of the seat to the other. There were less and less signs of human habitation until there was just forest carpeting the mountain. After about an hour we were so high that we passed through the clouds. We stopped for a moment to take in an incredible view across the mountains with Fir trees stretching below us and in the distance a lake in a valley. Then a few minutes later we arrived at the place for the Red Fir honey. This was a real high mountain wilderness. On the road margins were a mass of wildflowers. Growing naturally, without any contamination from pesticides or herbicides. I could hear the bees busily working the Fir trees around us, flying backward and forward to the hives. This was my idea of paradise. The air was so pure, you felt a kind of mental clarity and wellness you only experience in really remote mountain places.Whilst I took photos Thomas and Stefanos checked the hives and erected a fence to keep the bears out, who of course like nothing better than a meal of bee grubs and Red Fir Honey. Then, finally after packing up their beekeeping equipment in the back of the pickup Stefanos passed me a chunk of honeycomb. It was truly superb. The most delicious honeycomb I had ever tasted. I knew at that moment that I had been presented with a real gem that would be perfect as a chunk of honeycomb set in a jar of Red Fir honey. Not only was it truly delicious but Fir honey tends to stay runny longer than most other honeys.

Neprinol AFD 300caps (Arthur Andrew Medical)

I had a large varicose vein on my leg that’s been causing me problems for years. I’d received a substantial quote to remove it using sclerotherapy. I’m 70. My daughter bought me these tablets for my general health. I take 3 in the morning and 3 at night. After about two weeks of taking these, my painful varicose vein disappeared. No need now for vein treatment. I feel great - I certainly do not feel 70! My daughter had bought these previously from another website but will now buy from longevity. Brilliant service and quick delivery.

Third bottle of this I’ve had, the best colostrum out there. It tastes so delicious out of the capsule, even one pill somehow manages to improve digestion, give my skin a bit of a glow and give me a mood boost! I don’t know what it’s doing to have that effect on my mood, lowering inflammation in the gut or immune enhancing I don’t know, but it’s also stimulating and hard to sleep for me if I take too much, so I have to go slow. Love it and wish I could take tons as it’s literally one of the most beneficial supplements I’ve ever taken.

I have quite sensitive skin so wondered how my skin would react to this product. I applied a thin layer over my face and left for 15 minutes then lightly massaged and rinsed off with warm water. My skin felt soft and smooth after, and was not dried out. I'm looking to using it weekly/bi-weekly as part of my skincare routine.

Zymessence 180 capsules, WAM Essentials (Dr Wong)

Highly recommend. Certainly notice once stop taking. For chronic symptoms 3 per day on an empty stomach seems to help although the label advises one capsule for maintenance.

    Mr Oxygen's SUPER OxyFlush 120caps

Firstly, I have been a client of Longevity Essentials for the last two years. Wonderful family business. I found this company just by chance when I found the Aggressive Health Book written by the founder of this website/company – Mike Nash. Fab book that is the genesis of my health program. Mr Oxygen Super Oxyflush is heaven sent. I have been taking for nearly four weeks and what an improvement in my gastrointestinal system. If you have more than one of the following - digetive issues, constipation, bloating or gas, taken in the past antibiotics, strong craving for sweets, bread or alcoholic drinks, psoriasis or skin infections, have had parasites, dealing with fatigue, depression, poor memory or nervous tension, dry skin, rashes, nail infections. Circulatory problems – cold hands and feet. This product along with the following will help: I am currently taking it with the Mr Oxygen Oxyflush and the Immune Tree liquid Oxygen. It best to take them all on an empty stomach – first two capsules of Oxyflush, NEXT take the Oxysulfur with ascorbic acid, NEXT take the Immune Tree Liquid Oxygen. These three will diffidently clean and purify your digestive tract, every organ, blood vessel and cell in the entire body. It does this by liquefying the waste in the system and passing it out through the bowels and urinary tract. Mr Oxygen’s OxySulfur is absolutely the best on the market in my opinion. I have been taking MSM Sulphur for the last three years only noticing moderate results. However, after taking OxySulfur for just four weeks I noticed a vast difference. My hair is shiny and bouncer, my fingernails are strong and white, and my skin is smooth as satin and radiant. Just recently I purchased the last in stock, that is how good this product is.

Dragon Herbs Deer Antler Drops 240ml (8floz), Dragon Herbs

This stuff is changing my body faster than anything else. Fat is melting away yet since taking deer antler I've become ravenously hungry, needing to eat every 2-3 hours. I can tighten my trouser belt by another notch, all my clothes feel much looser on me, and my sciatica seems eased. This is an extremely potent supplement.

Ancestral Supplements - Grass Fed Natural Desiccated Thyroid 180caps 500mg

I will have to check again next month to make sure it is this medicine that helped me and shocked me. My TSH on October 16 was just over 100. On that day I started with 6 capsules a day, I got tested today, and my TSH is 12, that is a massive drop within 2 months. I took adrenal with this at 4 caps a day. I never noticed anything physically, like less brain fog, more energy....although my toilet is much better. I will report back in another 2 months, I should have normal TSh range. :) Along with taking this medicine, I have done Ujjai pranayam, a special way of breathing for 10 mins a day, and general exercise and I drank a teaspoon of coriander in warm water every other day.
