Would you like: Improved Hair, Skin and Nail Health Increased Metabolism Healthier Brain Function Immune System Support How can Biotin help with this?Optimal levels of Biotin can potentially give you all these benefits and more.Biotin works as a coenzyme to help break down food, such as carbohydrates, fats and protein which in turn, may lead to increased energy levels.Biotin is essential for myelin sheath formation, a fatty substance that encompasses nerves and facilitates nerve impulse conduction. As such, Biotin deficiency can delay myelination.Vitamin B7 (Biotin) also plays a crucial role in white blood cell development. However, Biotin is most commonly used for:Healthy Skin - Biotin helps maintain the mucous membranes of the skin. Biotin also plays a crucial role in the metabolization of fat, which is necessary for maintaining healthy skin.Healthy Nails - A biotin deficiency may lead to brittle nails.Healthy Hair - Many hair products that claim to encourage healthier, stronger hair contain Biotin. Biotin deficiency may lead to hair loss, which indicates that the vitamin might be involved in keeping the hair healthy. What is Biotin? Also known as vitamin B-7 or vitamin H - Biotin is a coenzyme for carboxylases, the enzymes that assist in the metabolic processing of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates for energy production [1].Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin. This means it is not stored in your body for long. Your body does not manufacture it naturally, either. However, bacteria in your gut (called intestinal flora) can produce Biotin.Biotin is also needed for the development of white blood cells and a deficiency can be linked to impaired immune function and an increased risk of infection [2].How was it discovered?Biotin was first identified as a nutritive requirement of yeast. Originally called vitamin H, it was isolated in pure form in 1935; its structure was established in 1942, after it had been shown to be required by animals. Evidence for the necessity of biotin appeared with the discovery in 1927 that the addition of uncooked egg white to a diet that is otherwise nutritionally adequate, can produce toxicity and disease. This is because egg white contains a specific protein, avidin, that combines with biotin and thus prevents its absorption.Optimal Biotin levels Increase MetabolismBiotin is a coenzyme for carboxylases, the enzymes that assist in the metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates for energy production [3].These enzymes are essential for the following processes: Gluconeogenesis, the metabolic pathway that produces glucose from non-carbohydrate sources including amino acids [4]. Cellular energy production [5]. The use of branched-chain amino acids (e.g., leucine, isoleucine, and valine) for neurotransmitter production and energy [6]. Synthesis and breakdown of fatty acids for energy [7]. Insulin release [8]. Inadequate vitamin B7 levels in the body can slow down metabolism, which may lead to fatigue, digestive problems, and weight gain [9].Healthy Brain Function requires Optimal Biotin levelsBiotin is required for myelin sheath formation, a fatty substance that surrounds nerves and facilitates nerve impulse conduction. As such, biotin deficiency can delay myelination [10].Biotin deficiency may also lead to a number of other neurological symptoms, including seizures, lack of muscle coordination, learning disabilities, hallucinations, depression, and lethargy. Most of these conditions can be resolved with biotin supplementation when they are caused by biotin deficiency [11].  Optimal Biotin levels Support the Immune SystemBiotin increases the production of Th1 cytokines like IL-1β and IFN-γ, which are essential for eliciting an immune response to combat bacterial and viral infections [12].Poor levels of vitamin B7 are associated with decreased antibody synthesis, T cell decay, and lower amounts of spleen cells and T cells in both animals and humans [13].Decreased rates of cellular proliferation during Biotin deficiency may account for some of these adverse effects on immune function [14].Biotin is a coenzyme for carboxylases, the enzymes that assist in the metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates for energy production [15].How do you know if you’d benefit from more Biotin? There are several factors that can deplete your Biotin or increase your need for Biotin. These include:The BTD gene encodes biotinidase, an enzyme that recycles biotin. Biotinidase transports free biotin through the bloodstream and attaches biotin to other proteins [16]. Certain SNPs related to the BTD gene can increase your dietary requirement for Biotin.Lipoic acid competes with vitamin B7 for binding to the sodium-dependent multivitamin transporter (SMVT) in the intestine, so long-term use of lipoic acid could result in depleted vitamin B7 levels [17].Similarly, large doses of vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) have the potential to compete with vitamin B7 for absorption by the SMVT [18].Prolonged use of antibiotics like tetracycline and sulfonamides can reduce biotin levels because they kill biotin-producing bacteria in the intestines [19].Furthermore, some anticonvulsants such as primidone and carbamazepine inhibit vitamin B7 absorption. Chronic anticonvulsant use can also increase vitamin B7 breakdown [20].Raw egg whites contain the protein avidin, which binds biotin tightly and inhibits its absorption [21].Smoking accelerates biotin breakdown, especially in women, resulting in marginal biotin deficiency [22].Chronic alcohol consumption can inhibit intestinal biotin absorption [23].You can do a blood test to assess Biotin levels, but a more sensitive and accurate test to measure for suboptimal biotin levels is for the urinary metabolites 3-Hydroxypropionic Acid (3-HPA) and 3-Hydroxyisovaleric Acid. Talk to your Practitioner to arrange these tests for you if you think you may be low.Why try Feel Younger® Biotin 10,000mcg for Hair, Skin and NailsOur Biotin capsules are high quality, high purity, contain no binders and are vegetarian and vegan friendly. Here at Feel Younger, we believe in supplying effective quantities, at reasonable prices… and that’s why a bottle of our Biotin capsules gives you a 10,000 mcg dose and costs a maximum of $15, with larger discounts available for subscriptions of purchases of multiple bottles. How do you take Biotin 10,000mcg for Hair, Skin and Nails?Take 1 capsule a day with water, preferably 20-30 minutes before a meal, or with a meal, depending on the advice of your healthcare practitionerALWAYS consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Biotin supplements, especially as biotin supplementation can provide inaccurate results on some blood tests.Any cautions?Taking too much Biotin may cause skin rashes, digestive upset, problems with insulin release and kidney problems.Biotin is generally considered safe and no toxicity has been reported for doses up to 300,000 mcg/day orally and 20,000 mcg intravenously [24].Since it is a water-soluble vitamin, vitamin B7 overdose is unlikely as excess amounts are excreted in the urine [25]. Would you like… Heart Health Support Optimal Blood Pressure Vascular System Support Cholesterol Support Antioxidant Support Inflammatory Support Hay Fever Relief If so, you may want to give Resveratrol. It is also believed to provide: Telomere support, by increasing the enzyme Telomerase which lengthens telomeres Boosted brain function & cognition Help with regulating blood sugar levels Joint pain relief What is Resveratrol and where does it come from?Resveratrol is a small polyphenol found in the skin of grapes, which it naturally produces to defend against parasites and toxins [1].Polyphenols are a type of compound found in plants that can offer a variety of health benefits.Regular consumption of polyphenols is thought to boost brain health, heart health, digestion and help regulate blood sugar levels.Polyphenols, which are a type of color pigment created by plants, act as antioxidants, which means they can help neutralize free radicals that damage your body’s cells [2].Resveratrol can also be found in peanuts, soy, various berries, Itadori tea (made from Japanese Knotweed) and is particularly abundant in red wine. How was Resveratrol Discovered?Resveratrol was first isolated in 1939 by Takaoka from Veratrum grandiflorum O. Loes.Since its discovery and almost 60 years later, the small polyphenol has undergone huge scientific interest, especially due to the work of Dr David Sinclair, a Harvard Scientist focused on anti aging technologies.Appearing in over 20,000 research papers, Resveratrol has inspired conferences, chemical derivatives, patents and more.Resveratrol has been used traditionally to help treat inflammation of the skin, UTI’s, stomach aches and fungal infections.Resveratrol is believed to have various potential health benefits, some of which are: Improved heart health by lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol [3] Lowering blood pressure [4] and so supporting the vascular system Antioxidant properties [5] Anti-inflammatory properties [6] People mainly use Resveratrol for: Improved Heart HealthLowering bad cholesterol (LDL) levels that are too high helps lessen the chance of developing heart problems.A study on mice suggested that resveratrol reduced diet induced LDL cholesterol levels and slowed the rate of atherosclerosis progression [7].Because of resveratrol’s antioxidant properties, it may help to lower blood pressure.A review found that resveratrol may help to lower blood pressure, which in turn reduces the pressure on artery walls when the heart beats [8].Anti-Aging PropertiesMany studies have been conducted on Resveratrol and its anti-aging effects, including by top researchers in Harvard. The main 2 ways that Resveratrol helps with the aging process, is through reducing oxidative stress [9] and increasing the length of telomeres [10].In short, telomeres are segments of DNA that can be found at the ends of chromosomes. As we age, the length of our telomeres shorten. Progressive telomere shortening leads to apoptosis (programmed cell death), senescence (loss of a cell’s power of division and growth) and the oncogenic transformation of somatic cells (genetic and epigenetic alterations that affect survival and cell proliferation) [11].These three things have been associated with shorter telomeres and affect the health and lifespan of a person. They also increase the incidence of disease and lower survival time.A study on mice showed the positive effects of Resveratrol on aging, and how it dramatically improved telomerase activity, telomere length, the quality and number of oocytes, and age-related gene expression in the ovaries of mice [12].Why Try Feel Younger® Resveratrol 600mg Telomere Support? Our Resveratrol Telomere Support is high quality, high purity, gluten free, all natural, sugar free, vegan and vegetarian friendly, hormone free, lactose free and contains no nasty fillers or binders. We’ve taken the stress out of powder form supplements by producing our resveratrol into easy to swallow capsules. How do you take Feel Younger® Resveratrol 600mg?Take one capsule twice a day, preferably 20-30 minutes before a meal.Any cautions?Resveratrol has been shown to stop blood clotting in test tubes, so do not take in conjunction with anti blood clotting medications.Because resveratrol can potentially lower blood pressure, do not take alongside other blood pressure lowering medications.ALWAYS consult a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements. If you’d like to… Prevent or Reduce Diarrhea Resolve Constipation Alleviate Symptoms of IBS Help Support The Healthy Bacteria in Your Intestines to improve Digestive Health Restore Your Digestive Tract’s Natural Microbiome After Antibiotics You may want to give our Probiotic 40 Billion with Maktrek® Bi-Pass Technology supplement a try!Probiotics can also potentially give you a whole host of other health benefits, such as: Immune System Support Improved Heart Health Improved Skin Health Improved Nutrient Absorption Improved Weight Loss Reduced Inflammation Reduced Symptoms of Allergies Why is it Important to Support Your Gastrointestinal System?Your gastrointestinal tract (gut) is a long tube that stretches from the mouth, all the way to your anus. It is responsible for 2 extremely important processes in our body. The first process is digestion. No matter how healthy (or not) your diet may be, optimal gut health is important for digestion so that you can absorb nutrients from food efficiently, utilizing the building blocks that you need to maintain your body, as well as efficiently converting the food you eat into energy. The second extremely important process is your immune system. In fact, around 70% of your immune system is in your gut, which means good gut health is essential for optimal immune function to fight off bacteria, viruses and other pathogens that are dangerous to our bodies and can make us unwell.A healthy gut should contain many billions of “good” bacteria which multiply rapidly and create an acidic environment in the intestines so that the “bad” bacteria isn’t able to proliferate. The balance of these bacteria is often referred to as the gut microbiome (referring to microbes that are present in your digestive system). When your gut is not in good health, it will struggle to get rid of toxins (like endotoxin, believed to be a key factor in premature aging [1]) and substances that are left over from metabolic processes (metabolic waste) that must be excreted because they cannot be used by our bodies. What Impacts the Health of Your Gut?Digestive symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, bloating, excess gas, abdominal pain, acid reflux and more can develop, but poor gut health can cause inflammation throughout the body, leading to a myriad of different health issues. In fact, ancient traditional modalities of health and healing, like Ayurvedic Medicine, actually believed that ‘all’ ill health had its origins in the gut.The gut is also known as an “extension of the brain” because its walls are lined with a system of neurons that help to govern the function of the gastrointestinal tract, which is known as the intrinsic or enteric nervous system.Again, this was known for thousands of years by Ancient Easters systems like Taoism, the origin of Acupuncture and Chi Kung, who often referred to the gut as the ‘second brain’.Poor gut health has also been linked to the development of autoimmune disorders. There are many things that can damage the health of your gut, such as: Genetic Factors (see Genetic Insights for more info on how your genetics may increase the likelihood of having gut issues.) Poor diet, including excess sugar and processed foods Nutritional Deficiencies Eating in a stressed state, usually leading to eating too quickly and not chewing your food enough Dehydration   GastroIntestinal Dysbiosis, especially SIBO where too many bacteria grow in the small intestine (they are mainly meant to be in the large intestine, even ‘good’ bacteria can cause issues if too many are in the small intestine.) Food intolerances (although these maybe a symptom of gut issues, rather than cause) Frequent Antibiotics Alcohol (along with any other downsides, alcohol kills all bacteria, good and bad, on contact, similar to an antibiotic, which is why it’s used as a disinfectant.) Lack of exercise Smoking Lack of or Poor Quality Sleep Chronic Stress Can You Test The Bacteria in Your Gut?Because your gut microbiome is so important to your overall health [2], it’s important to understand what’s going on, and how your gut is balanced.Microbiome tests can be conducted by your physician or at home. Although some tests use blood or saliva, the most comprehensive microbiome tests will require a stool sample.Your stool sample will be sent to a laboratory to be tested where they will analyze the balance of microbes in your gastrointestinal system. This will help you and your doctor understand if there is an imbalance of microbes that is causing problems to your overall health. We recommend the Biomesight test for giving a very detailed and accurate picture at a very affordable price. The Top 8 Ways to Improve Your Gut Health:Here’s the top 8 changes you can make to your lifestyle to help support and improve your gastrointestinal health: Eat a clean, diverse organic diet full of nutrient dense foods. Processed (especially fast) foods cause harm to your gut microbiome [3].Be sure to include prebiotic foods (a type of fiber that isn’t digested) [4] such as oats, bananas, chicory and asparagus, because they inhibit the growth of certain types of good bacteria. Note: prebiotic foods can make issues worse IF you have too many bacteria in the small intestine. If you suspect this is the case, get the advice of a professional who specializes in gut health.   Eat in a relaxed state, where you will naturally eat slower and chew your food properly. Being in a stressed state is sometimes necessary, but while you are in a stressed state, digestion slows down significantly, and you produce much less of the digestive juices you need to sanitize and process your food, like saliva, stomach acid and bile. You’ll also tend to eat more quickly and not chew enough. So make sure you calm down before you start eating, even if it’s just taking a few deep breaths. This is where the tradition of saying grace comes from: even if you have no religious leanings, you may want to consider it as a way of refocusing your mind to be in a less stressed state, which will help you digest better! And once you’re relaxed, it will be easier to chew your food enough, sometimes as much as 30 times before swallowing, which helps your body to more easily digest the food and absorb as many nutrients as possible [5]. Find out if you’re intolerant to certain foods. Eating foods you're intolerant to will affect your digestive health, resulting in bloating, gas, diarrhea and more [6]. Speak to your physician to organize a skin prick or blood test.Another way to narrow down your intolerances is to record the foods you’ve eaten - be sure to write down how these foods make you feel. Only change one or two things at a time, so that you can easily identify any changes. If you suspect a food, many recommend an elimination diet, where you remove the suspected food for around a week, and then introduce it again, seeing if you notice any symptoms when you add it back into your diet.  Limit alcohol consumption. Alcohol can induce changes to the microbiome in the gastrointestinal tract, (due to its ability to kill bacteria, but not kill and often feed yeasts such as candida) which can lead to increased oxidative stress amongst other problems [7]. Reduce your stress. Chronic Stress can seriously affect your guts microbiome composition [8].Occasional Stress is healthy, but ongoing stress is not. If you struggle to relax, there are many ways to lower your stress levels, such as meditation. You can also try supplementing with our Serenity Anti-Stress Support or 5 HTP products. Improve your sleep. Poor sleep and sleep deprivation can affect your microbiome diversity [9]. Our Sleep Aid Plus can also help, and read the page for more info on how to Sleep better naturally. Drink more water and stay hydrated. This is another way to encourage microbiome diversity [10], and staying hydrated is essential to your overall health, as well as reducing the likelihood of constipation.   Take a probiotic full of live “good” bacteria that can help to boost your gut microbiome: Probiotic Ingredients That Can Increase the Health of Your GutLactobacillus acidophilus. Often referred to as L. acidophilus, lactobacillus acidophilus is a variety of bacteria that can be found in the intestines which is essential for human health [11].Bifidobacterium lactis. Another type of bacteria that can be found in the gut, B.lactis or B. animalis as it is sometimes referred to, helped to prevent cases of acute diarrhea in infants [12].Lactobacillus plantarum. Found mainly in fermented plant foods such as pickles, L. plantarum has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, blood sugar regulatory, anti-weight gain and antioxidant properties. Studies have shown L. plantarum to reduce the incidence of abdominal pain, loose stools and diarrhea associated with antibiotics [13].Fructooligosaccharide. Found in foods such as garlic, onion and blue agave and sometimes referred to as FOS - fructooligosaccharide are prebiotic (compounds in foods that help the growth and activity of microorganisms that are beneficial) and can provide some protection against food-related illnesses such as salmonella [14].Introducing Feel Younger® Probiotic 40 Billion with Maktrek® Bi-Pass TechnologyIn addition to the above ingredients, we’ve added Maktrek’s patented proprietary Bi-Pass Technology.Maktrek is a patented, groundbreaking formula that enables better absorption of probiotics. This is especially important because most probiotics don’t actually absorb efficiently in the digestive tract and are usually just broken down by digestive acids in the stomach. With Maktrek Bi-Pass Technology, the easy to swallow capsule has an added layer of protection that allows the probiotic to travel through the stomach without being broken down. Once in the intestines, the capsule can release the probiotic where your body can use the live bacteria effectively. We understand that it’s not always easy, nor practical to implement a variety of lifestyle changes - especially all at once. We’d advise that you make as many of the changes listed further up this page as possible, but to do so 1 or 2 at a time, make sure they stick and then move onto more.In the meantime, you can support your body with essential good bacteria it needs to maintain a healthy gut microbiome.By combining these bacteria into an easy to swallow capsule with Maktrek Bi-Pass Technology, we’ve taken the stress out of using probiotics that can’t efficiently and effectively deliver the bacteria to where it needs to be.Here at Feel younger, we believe in providing strong doses at reasonable prices. Our Probiotic capsules provide a strong and healthy dose of billions of live bacteria, and will cost you no more than $35, with discounts available on multiple bottle and subscription purchases. How Do You Take Feel Younger® Probiotic 40 Billion with Maktrek® Bi-Pass Technology?Take two capsules once a day.DO NOT exceed two capsules a day.Any Cautions?Although rare, some people may experience bloating, gas or constipation when taking probiotics.ALWAYS consult a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements. Feel Younger Feel Younger - All in One Multivitamin + Mineral Formula 60caps
In the article ‘Do we need supplements’ we go into great detail about why we may or may not need supplements, based on many factors including our diet, lifestyle, goals and expectations i.e. are we happy to just get by, or are we trying to optimise. However, there is at least one exception to this nuance, one supplement that we would contend is beneficial is most cases, and that is a Multivitamin and Mineral Supplement, like Feel Younger’s All in One Multivitamin + Mineral Formula with Antioxidant + Immune Support. Why is it such a good idea for most people to take a formula like this?Firstly, while a deficiency of any one essential nutrient is quite rare, by a medical standard, having a deficiency of at least one of the many necessary vitamins and minerals is not uncommon. Why? There are many reasons why you may have a deficiency in a nutrient, and this is covered in detail in the ‘Do we need supplements’ article, but the most common reasons may be:1. Because you do not eat a varied, balanced diet. This could be for many reasons: you’re too busy, you find it too expensive or time consuming to prepare, you don’t enjoy healthy foods, or you enjoy unhealthy foods too much, and lastly, you may intentionally be on a restrictive diet, either because many foods disagree with you (e.g. food intolerances) or because you restrict certain food for ethical or religious reasons e.g. a vegetarian or vegan diet is more likely to lead to deficiencies including Vitamin B12, Zinc, Iron and Vitamin K2.2. If you have digestive issues that affect your ability to absorb nutrients. A lack of stomach acid may lead to problems absorbing proteins, whereas a lack of bile flow may lead to issues absorbing enough of the fat soluble vitamins. Diarrhea can deplete important minerals, while gut inflammation can reduce absorption of many kinds of important nutrients.3. Even if you eat a healthy diet, the foods you eat are grown in nutrient depleted soil, or from animals that eat crops from nutrient depleted soil.Estimates are that soil is 75-90% depleted of nutrients in the last 100 years. How this impacts nutrient content of foods is still an issue of contention and requires more research, but it’s reasonable to assume that if soil is so depleted of nutrients, that this will impact the nutrient content of foods that grow in it to some degree.4. You have a greater need for nutrients, due to genetic or lifestyle reasons. For instance, Elwin, the founder of Feel Younger ®, has genetic polymorphisms which cause him to need to consume double the usual recommended amount of the crucial nutrients Biotin, Choline, EPA and DHA.Lifestyle factors like high chronic stress, or excessive alcohol or stimulant use, for instance, can cause the rapid depletion of nutrients like Thiamine (Vitamin B1) and Magnesium, causing needs to be significantly elevated.5. Already Deficient? If you are already deficient in a nutrient, like vitamin B12, it’s common for medical professionals to recommend you take 100 times or even 1000 times the usual recommended amount, to try and replenish your levels, which is an amount you could never get without supplementation.Even if none of these apply to you, you may still want to consider taking a Multivitamin, like Feel Younger’s All in One Multivitamin + Mineral Formula with Antioxidant + Immune Support. Why? Because even if you’re not deficient in any of the nutrients contained within, you may still benefit from Optimizing your level of these nutrients.Remember, Recommended amounts are what was discovered clinically to prevent or reverse disease. While the are of what is optimal is less researched and more subjective (optimal is harder to define than disease), anecdotally, many people have reported feeling better when consuming levels of nutrients that are sometimes conceived as optimal, rather than essential. A common example is again, Vitamin B12, which many people feel better on with doses 100+ times the Recommended Daily Amount, even if they are not diagnosed as clinically deficient. What does a good Multivitamin and Mineral supplement contain?A good Multivitamin will contain all the essential Vitamins: A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12, C, D and EIt will also contain the essential minerals Magnesium and Calcium (in an optimal 1:1 ratio), Zinc and Copper (in an optimal 7:1 ratio), Selenium and Manganese (as Amino Acid Chelates) and Chromium and Molybdenum. Our formula does not contain iron as this is an essential nutrient that it’s easy to consume too much of for some people, so we encourage everyone to test to see if they need it and if so, take it separatelyWhat makes a Great Multivitamin and Mineral Supplement? As well as containing the essential Vitamins and Minerals listed above, a really great Multivitamin will also: 1. Not require you to take lots of pills. If you are already deficient in a nutrient, like vitamin B12, it’s common for medical professionals to recommend you take 100 times or even 1000 times the usual recommended amount, to try and replenish your levels, which is an amount you could never get without supplementation.2. Be free of fillers, additives, sweeteners and flavorings.Feel Younger’s All in One Multivitamin + Mineral Formula contains none of these, and only contains the smallest amount possible of 3 very common excipients, which are used to turn some of the ingredients, which would otherwise be oils or gels, into powder, so they can all go into one capsule.3. Contain Powerful, thoroughly researched, Natural Plant Based AntioxidantsIn addition to giving you every vitamin and mineral you need, Feel Younger’s All in One Multivitamin + Mineral Formula also gives you a powerful dose of 7 of the most powerful plant based antioxidants known to man, each of which has been thoroughly proven to have numerous health benefits [1]. We won’t list them all here as it would take up too much space, but encourage you to do your own research on: Green Tea Extract [2], Hawthorne Berries [3], Cinnamon Bark Extract [4], Bilberry Extract [5], Grape Seed Extract [6], Blackcurrant Extract [7] and Pomegranate Extract [8].4. Contain Powerful, thoroughly researched, Natural Plant Based AntioxidantsIn this day and age, all of our immune systems could do with some support. The herb Echinacea [9], Beta Glucan [10], Garlic [11] and Spirulina [12] are all powerful and have many research studies supporting their effectiveness. Again, we encourage you to do your own research. In addition to all this, Feel Younger’s All in One Multivitamin + Mineral Formula also contains Lutein [13], a vision support nutrient, Lycopene [14], a powerful anti-inflammatory, and Stinging Nettle [15] and Saw Palmetto [16], powerful anti-inflammatory and hormone supporting herbs. Is Feel Younger’s All in One Multivitamin + Mineral Formula with Antioxidant + Immune Support the absolute best way to meet your nutritional needs? Our answer may surprise you: NoBecause, the absolute best thing to do is:1. Seek out a nutritionist who understands everything we teach here at Feel Younger. This will usually cost several hundred dollars per consultation.2. Get, with their guidance, a test that shows your likely needs for all the important Vitamins and Minerals. These tests, like Genova Diagnostics Nutreval or Spectracell’s Micronutrient Test Panel, will cost around $500, and need to be repeated to get updated recommendations, at least every 6 months, preferably every 3-4 months. They also don’t include every nutrient e.g. neither include the mineral iron.3. You’ll likely end up with a program that includes substantial dietary changes, as well as many different bottles of supplements to get the exact right amount you need of many different nutrients, without taking anything you don’t need. The above is the best possible approach, as outlined by Feel Younger’s founder, Elwin Robinson. However, we are aware that this approach is:1. Very expensive to most people2. Quite time consuming3. Most people find dietary changes very difficult4. Very complicated to most people5. Most people don’t like taking many different supplements several times a day.So, while the above is the best possible approach, we realise it’s not realistic for many people. Most people would like to meet their nutritional needs with little effort, low cost and without making significant dietary changes. If that’s you, we Feel Younger’s All in One Multivitamin + Mineral Formula with Antioxidant + Immune Support…and it’s exactly what most of the Feel Younger team use themselves, for this reason! How do you take Feel Younger’s All in One Multivitamin + Mineral Formula with Antioxidant + Immune Support?2 capsules a day, with a meal, with water. Can be spread out over 2 meals, 1 capsule with each meal.Any cautions? Feel Younger’s All in One Multivitamin + Mineral Formula with Antioxidant + Immune Support has been specifically formulated, unlike many other common brands, to give a decent amount of the essential nutrients, but NOT an excessive amount of any nutrient, which makes accidentally taking too much of any nutrient much less likely with our Multivitamin than most others, so long as you don’t exceed the recommended serving size, but still…Always speak to a healthcare professional before making any changes to diet or lifestyle Scientific References https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2835915/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2855614/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3249900/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4466762/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK92770/ https://www.nccih.nih.gov/health/grape-seed-extract https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22673662/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4007340/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26009695/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3236515/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7402177/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3136577/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6164534/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5376536/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3529973/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25683150/

Would you be interested in getting support with…[1] Blood Sugar Balance Maintaining Optimal Weight Optimal Cholesterol and a Healthy Cardiovascular System Reduced Infections Improved Mood A Healthy Liver Optimal Metabolism If so, you may want to try Berberine.Berberine is so powerful and effective that some authorities have described it as being ‘as effective as a pharmaceutical’ [1]... although it’s a lot safer than many of those! What is Berberine? Where does it come from?Berberine is a compound found in several different plants, including Barberry (Berberis vulgaris), Oregon Grape (Mahonia aquifolium), Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), and Chinese goldthread (Coptis chinensis).Technically, it belongs to a class of compounds called alkaloids. It has a yellow color, and has often been traditionally used as a dye. Berberine (C20H18NO4) is an isoquinoline alkaloid belonging to the protoberberine alkaloids. It was first discovered by Buchner and Herberger in 1830 [2]It has been used as traditional folk medicines in China, India, Iran and other countries [3]. And it has a 3000-year history of use in Traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic Medicine [4]. In the early 1960s, Indian researchers demonstrated that berberine and its salts, such as berberine sulfate, are valuable for the treatment of cholera, severe diarrhea and amoebiasis [5].Because of its effectiveness, especially in the treatment of diarrhea, berberine has become an essential medicine for every family in China.Berberine has now been tested in hundreds of different studies. How Does it work? After you ingest berberine, it gets taken in by the body and transported into the bloodstream. Then it travels into the body’s cells. Inside the cells, it binds to several different “molecular targets” and changes their function [6].Berberine also affects various other molecules inside cells, and may even affect which genes are turned on or off.Scientists have researched many different theories about how berberine may help support blood sugar health on a cellular level, including all of the following: Directly increasing AMPK, which stimulates glucose uptake in muscle cells and helps balance high blood sugar in rat and cell studies [7] Delay the breakdown of carbohydrates into simple sugars (rat study) [8] Enhancing glucagon secretion (rat study) [9] Mimics insulin action by increasing the ability of the body to take up glucose (cell study) [10] Decreasing glucose transport through the intestinal lining (cell study) [11] Increasing adiponectin, a protein which helps regulate blood sugar levels (through AMPK) (cell study) [12] Activating the blood sugar transport activity of glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1) (cell study) [13] Activating the fatty acid receptor GPR40 (cell study) [14] Protecting the beta-cells of the pancreas against cell death (cell study) [15] Inhibiting production of glucose in the liver (rat study) [16] Improving the gut microbiota (rat study) [17] Inhibiting NF-kappaB (NF-kB) (cell study) [18] Increasing insulin receptor expression (cell study) [19] People mainly use Berberine for: Balanced Blood Sugar LevelsOver time, high blood sugar levels can damage the body’s tissues and organs, leading to various health problems and a shortened lifespan. Many studies show that berberine can significantly reduce blood sugar levels to optimal levels [20].In fact, its effectiveness has been compared to the popular diabetes drug metformin (Glucophage) [21].It seems to work via multiple different mechanisms [22]. Decreases insulin resistance, making the blood sugar lowering hormone insulin more effective. Increases glycolysis, helping the body break down sugars inside cells. Decrease sugar production in the liver. Slows the breakdown of carbohydrates in the gut. Increases the number of beneficial bacteria in the gut.   In one study of 116 diabetic patients, 1000 mg of berberine per day lowered fasting blood sugar by 20%, from 7.0 to 5.6 mmol/L (126 to 101 mg/dL) [23].It also lowered hemoglobin A1c by 12% (a marker for long-term blood sugar levels), and also improved blood lipids like cholesterol and triglycerides [24].According to a big review of 14 studies, berberine may be as effective as oral blood sugar drugs, including metformin, glipizide and rosiglitazone [25].Berberine May Help You Lose WeightSo far, two studies have examined Berberine’s effects on body weight. In a 12-week study in obese individuals, 500 mg taken three times per day caused about 5 pounds of weight loss, on average. The participants also lost an average of 3.6% of their body fat [26].Another more impressive study was conducted in 37 men and women with metabolic syndrome. This study went on for 3 months, and the participants took 300 mg, 3 times per day.The participants dropped their body mass index (BMI) levels from 31.5 to 27.4, or from obese to overweight in only 3 months. They also lost belly fat and improved many health markers [27].The researchers believe that the weight loss is caused by improved function of fat-regulating hormones, such as insulin, adiponectin and leptin.Berberine also appears to inhibit the growth of fat cells at the molecular level [28].More research is needed on the weight loss effects of berberine. It Lowers Cholesterol and May Reduce Your Risk of Heart DiseaseAccording to a review of 11 studies, it can: [29] Lower total cholesterol by 0.61 mmol/L (24 mg/dL). Lower LDL cholesterol by 0.65 mmol/L (25 mg/dL). Lower blood triglycerides by 0.50 mmol/L (44 mg/dL). Raise HDL cholesterol by 0.05 mmol/L (2 mg/dL). It has also been shown to lower apolipoprotein B by 13-15%, which is a very important risk factor [30].According to some studies, berberine works by inhibiting an enzyme called PCSK9. This leads to more LDL being removed from the bloodstream [31].Keep in mind that high blood sugar levels and obesity are also major risk factors for heart disease, all of which seem to be improved with this supplement. How do you take Feel Younger® Berberine? Many of the studies cited on this page used dosages in the range of 900 to 1500 mg per day.It is common to take Berberine multiple times per day, before meals, to optimize absorptionFeel Younger Berberine comes in two high dose capsules of 600mg each. So, an optimal serving would be to take one capsule before each main meal, 2 times a day, e.g. breakfast and dinner. Take with water or any other liquid. Why Use Feel Younger® Berberine? Our Berberine comes from Berberis Aristata, a premium and highly concentrated source of Berberine. As well as containing a very impressive maximum dose of Berberine at a very reasonable price, Feel Younger ® Berberine also has a very moderate amount of extra ingredients compared to other brands. We have no fillers, and just a small amount of an excipient necessary to make the Berberine, which otherwise would have a sticky consistency, into a powder, so it can be available to you in a convenient capsule. We also use a vegetable capsule shell so our product is 100% vegan and vegetarian.Any cautions?Overall, Berberine has an outstanding safety profile.Always check with your healthcare practitioner before making health or lifestyle changes, especially if on any medications. [32].This is especially important if you are currently taking blood sugar lowering medications, as Berberine may also have this effect.Mild adverse digestive effects were observed among a few subjects in studies, such as abdominal discomfort, due to its antimicrobial action (nausea, distension, diarrhea) [33]. Would you like: Help Regulating Blood Sugar Levels Improved Sensitivity to the Hormone Insulin Antioxidant Support Reduced Inflammation Supported Brain Function Help Losing Weight/Boosted Metabolism Improved Cardiovascular Health If so, you may want to try Ceylon Cinnamon. It has also been shown to: Help Fight Bacterial and Fungal Infections Improve Digestion Support Bone Health & Thyroid Function Due to it Being Rich in Manganese Help with Menstrual Cramps & Pains Preserve Oral Health What is Ceylon Cinnamon and Where Does it Come From?Cinnamon is a spice made from the inner bark of trees from the laurel family (Lauraceae - bushy evergreen trees) and is scientifically known as Cinnamomum. There are two main types of cinnamon that are widely available: Ceylon cinnamon: Cinnamomum verum, also known as “true” cinnamon. This type is more expensive and less toxic to the liver because it’s much lower in coumarin, a natural constituent that promotes blood thinning. Cassia cinnamon: Cinnamomum cassia. This type is more commonly available and is generally what you’ll find at a store or restaurant [1]. Because of the liver toxicity potential of the cheaper, cassia form of cinnamon, we personally would recommend only using Ceylon Cinnamon. The cinnamon in Feel Younger’s Cinnamon product is 100% Ceylon Cinnamon and 0% Cassia Cinnamon.Ceylon is native to Sri Lanka and southern parts of India. It’s tan-brown in color and contains many tight sticks with soft layers. These features provide a highly desirable quality and texture. It’s known to have a more delicate and mild sweet flavor in comparison to Cassia Cinnamon.Approximately 50–63% of its essential oil is cinnamaldehyde, which is quite low compared to cassia. This explains its milder aroma and flavor [2].Traditional UseCinnamon has been used as an ingredient throughout history [3], dating back as far as Ancient Egypt. It used to be rare and valuable and was regarded as a gift fit for kings. It was also recognised for its medicinal qualities [4], and was used to help with digestion issues [5], oral conditions, boost memory, purify blood, promote healing [6], help with colds, flu and sore throats, provide relief from menstrual cramps and discomfort.Cinnamon teas were also thought to be beneficial to oxidative stress related illnesses in humans, due to it being high in anti-oxidative qualities [7].How Does it work?Ceylon Cinnamon has many health benefits which have been studied in human and animal trials: In human trials, cinnamon can lower fasting blood sugar levels [8] Cinnamon reduces insulin resistance [9] which is one of the key hormones that regulate metabolism and energy use. Ceylon cinnamon increases levels of the master antioxidant, glutathione (in rats) [10]. Cinnamaldehyde/Cinnamon activates Nrf2, the most important pathway for increasing our natural and innate antioxidant defense [11]. Both the twigs and leaves of Cinnamon are highly anti-inflammatory [12]. Two compounds found in cinnamon appear to inhibit the buildup of a protein called tau in the brain, which is one of the hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease [13]. Cinnamon may help reduce total cholesterol, LDL (bad) cholesterol, and triglycerides, while HDL (good) cholesterol remained stable [14]. A large study concluded that cinnamon can also help increase HDL cholesterol [15]. People Mainly Use Ceylon Cinnamon For It’s Antioxidant Qualities Antioxidants protect your body from oxidative damage caused by free radicals.Cinnamon is loaded with powerful antioxidants, such as polyphenols [16].In a study that compared the antioxidant activity of 26 spices, cinnamon wound up as the clear winner, even outranking “superfoods” like garlic and oregano [17].In fact, it is so powerful that cinnamon can be used as a natural food preservative [18].Studies show that this spice and its antioxidants have potent anti-inflammatory properties [19].Blood Sugar RegulationCinnamon is well known for its blood-sugar-lowering properties.Apart from the beneficial effects on insulin resistance, cinnamon can lower blood sugar by several other mechanisms.First, cinnamon has been shown to decrease the amount of glucose that enters your bloodstream after a meal.It does this by interfering with numerous digestive enzymes, which slows the breakdown of carbohydrates in your digestive tract [20].Second, a compound in cinnamon can act on cells by mimicking insulin [21].This greatly improves glucose uptake by your cells, though it acts much slower than insulin itself.Numerous human studies have confirmed the anti-diabetic effects of cinnamon, showing that it can lower fasting blood sugar levels. The effective dose is typically 1–6 grams or around 0.5–2 teaspoons of cinnamon per day.Brain Function Support & ProtectionCinnamon may help delay cognitive impairment. A study on rats found cinnamon to improve cognition and reduce oxidation in the brain [22].Cinnamon may help with food cravings. By targeting a chemical in the brain involved in glucose and cholesterol (insulin), eating cinnamon may help you lose weight through reduced food intake [23].Cinnamon can help boost memory [24].Cinnamon is a great source of manganese. Two teaspoons of cinnamon provides about half the RDA of manganese, a powerful antioxidant that is essential for brain and body health [25].One study used Cinnamon aromatherapy on Children with ADHD, and found that it increased their attention [26].Here at Feel Younger, we believe in providing strong doses at reasonable prices. Our Ceylon Cinnamon Capsules provide a 1200mg dose of some of the finest and purest Ceylon Cinnamon on the market. We’re proud to say that Our Ceylon Cinnamon is high quality, high purity, all natural, organic, non GMO, made in the USA and contains no nasty fillers or binders. It is also lactose free and is vegan and vegetarian friendly.60 Capsules will cost no more than $19, with discounts available on multiple bottles or subscription orders. How do you take it?Take 1-2 Ceylon Cinnamon Capsules once a day, with water or preferably with a carbohydrate containing meal.Any cautions? As Ceylon Cinnamon is effective at lowering blood sugar levels, it can lead to tiredness, dizziness and possibly fainting - the biggest risk are people already taking medications for diabetes.ALWAYS consult a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements. Feel Younger Feel Younger - CLA Safflower Oil 1000mg 60caps
Would you like: Help with Weight Loss Cholesterol Support Improved Heart Health Enhanced Mood If so, you may want to give CLA a try. What is CLA and where does it come from?CLA is short for Conjugated Linoleic Acid(s), which is, in essence, an omega-6 fatty acid, but a healthy one.CLA is a naturally occurring fatty acid that is produced by a bio-hydrogenation process in the rumen, and thus is present in dairy products and ruminant meat (9cis, 11 trans).28 different forms of CLA exist [1].The difference between these structures is that their double bonds are organized in different ways. It’s vital to keep in mind that something as small as this can make a massive difference to our cells.Traditional UseCLA supplements are most commonly sold because of their reputation for aiding weight loss [2].CLA is also sometimes used as a dietary supplement for bodybuilding.Story of DiscoveryIn 1987, researchers at the University of Wisconsin in Madison first discovered CLA.Dr. Pariza first noted an extract in beef, back in 1978, that appeared to be an anticarcinogenic, but it wasn’t until 1987 that he identified this extract to be CLA.Since the discovery, a surge of scientific studies and research have been conducted on how CLA affects body mass and other potential benefits it may have on human health. In the past, people received healthy doses of CLA through their diet, by consuming beef and dietary fats. However, the way cattle are raised has changed… and it is this change, as well as the change in people's diets today, that has lowered the amount of CLA people are able to ingest. The majority of cattle no longer graze in pastures on natural grass and other foods. Instead, they are fed meat products and processed grains. This has resulted in a decrease in cattle's internal production of CLA, meaning less conjugated linoleic acid is consumed from eating meat and dairy products.Furthermore, most people that worry about cholesterol and fat intake adjust their diets to eat less red meat and dairy products, which in turn reduces the amount of CLA in their diet.Fortunately, scientists have developed a process to convert the linoleic acid of pure safflower oil into conjugated linoleic acid. How does it work?CLA works in the following ways: Boosts metabolism, thus aiding obesity & weight management by reducing body weight, reducing BMI, total fat mass, fat percentage and fat burned while sleeping [3]. CLA can improve blood pressure by increasing adiponectin and endothelial nitric oxide synthase activity [4]. Helps to reduce bad cholesterol (HDL-cholesterol), without impacting and raises good cholesterol levels (LDL-cholesterol). Can help improve heart health by increasing the amount of C-reactive protein (CRP) in the blood, which is a marker for inflammation. People mainly use CLA to: Aid Weight Loss A study done on overweight Chinese subjects found that CLA supplementation (twice daily dissolved in milk) helped with weight loss over a 12-week period [5].The supplementation was found to reduce body weight, reduce BMI, reduce total fat mass, and reduce fat percentage. The treatment also reduced waist to hip ratio and reduced subcutaneous fat mass.Studies have shown that CLAs decrease lipid storage by increasing the rate of fat breakdown in fat tissue [6].The fatty acids also increase fatty acid oxidation and reduce glucose uptake in cultured fat cells.Improve Heart Health & CholesterolIn a study of 80 obese and hypertensive people, CLA combined with ramipril reduced blood pressure more than ramipril alone [7].Another study found that high intakes of both cis-9, trans-11 and trans-10, cis-12 CLA raised the level of HDL cholesterol in healthy women.HDL cholesterol promotes low cholesterol levels and healthy heart function [8].High levels of glucose result in major heart damage and heart problems. A study in rat cells found that cells pre-treated with CLA and then exposed to high glucose levels had reduced heart damage and a decreased risk of heart problems, than cells not pre-treated in the same conditions [9].Our CLA from Safflower oil is all natural (unlike most that are chemically altered), sugar free, hormone free, lactose free and doesn’t contain any nasty binders. Here at Feel Younger, we believe in providing strong doses at reasonable prices. Our CLA from Safflower oil softgels provide a 1000mg dose per softgel, and will cost you no more than $19, with discounts available on subscriptions for multiple bottles. How do you take it?Take one softgel with food, twice a day.Taking with food will help the body better utilize the CLA.Any cautions?Possible side effects of taking CLA can be excessive flatulence, bloating, nausea and diarrhoea.CLA can increase insulin resistance.ALWAYS consult a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements. Would You Like: Increased Energy Levels Increased Mitochondrial Function Help with Migraines Lower Blood Pressure Increased Muscle Performance During Exercise and/or reduced Muscle Pain Improved Fertility If so, you may want to try Co Enzyme Q10, also known as Ubiquinone.Co Enzyme Q10 can potentially help with all of these problems as well as having other benefits such as: Improved Gut Health Improved Brain, Heart & Lung Health More balanced Blood Sugar Levels Improved Mood Skin Protection from UV Radiation  What is CoQ10?Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a key compound found in all cells in the body. It is a coenzyme, which means it helps enzymes work more effectively. How does CoQ10 work?CoQ10 is mainly found in the membrane of mitochondria, where it is used to make energy [1].It is also located in cell membranes and lipoproteins – such as LDL and HDL – where it acts as a powerful antioxidant. CoQ10 stabilizes cell membranes and helps cells work properly [2].Supplementing CoQ10 can help: Increase energy levels and help with exercise performance [3] Boost mitochondrial function [4] Protect against free radicals and inflammation [5]  Improve heart health [6] Reduce blood sugar levels and blood pressure [7] Help with migraines [8] Improve fertility [9] Reduce the side effects of statins [10]   People mainly use CoQ10 to, Increase Mitochondrial Function for Improved Cellular Energy ProductionEnergy-demanding organs in your body such as the brain, heart, kidneys, muscle and liver have the highest levels of CoQ10 all of which contain many mitochondria and use a lot of energy [11].Abnormal mitochondrial function can cause calcium uptake to be increased by cells, free radicals to be excessively produced, and a decrease in antioxidant protection. This can result in low energy in the brain cells and can even cause migraines [12].Potentially Improve MigrainesSince CoQ10 is largely found in the mitochondria of the cells, it has been shown to improve mitochondrial function and help decrease the inflammation that may occur during migraines [13].A study showed that CoQ10 supplementation was three times more likely to reduce the number of migraines than a placebo in 42 people [14].Additionally, CoQ10 deficiency has been observed in people suffering from migraines.A larger study showed that 1,550 people with low CoQ10 levels experienced fewer and less severe headaches after treatment with CoQ10 [15].Furthermore, it seems that CoQ10 can not only help treat migraines but may also prevent them [16].Increase Exercise PerformanceOxidative stress can affect muscle function, and thus, exercise performance [17].Similarly, abnormal mitochondrial function can reduce muscle energy, making it hard for muscles to contract efficiently and sustain exercise [18].CoQ10 can help exercise performance by decreasing oxidative stress in the cells and improving mitochondrial functions [19].In fact, one study investigated the effects of CoQ10 on physical activity. Those supplementing with 1,200 mg of CoQ10 per day for 60 days showed decreased oxidative stress [20].Furthermore, supplementing with CoQ10 can increase power during exercise and reduce fatigue, both of which can improve exercise performance [21].Improve Brain, Heart & Lung HealthThe brain is very susceptible to oxidative damage due to its high fatty acid content and its high demand for oxygen. It is this oxidative damage that enhances the production of harmful compounds that could affect memory, cognition and physical functions [22].CoQ10 may help reduce these harmful compounds build up in the brain.CoQ10 (100 – 320 mg/day) improved exercise capacity in patients with heart problems by increasing the ability of the lungs and heart to deliver oxygen to muscles [23].Out of all of your organs, your lungs have the most contact with oxygen, which makes them extremely susceptible to oxidative damage.Increased oxidative damage in the lungs and poor antioxidant protection, including low levels of CoQ10, make it more likely for lung issues such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to occur [24].Furthermore, it has been shown that people suffering from these present lower levels of CoQ10 [25].A study showed that supplementing with CoQ10 helped reduce inflammation in people who had asthma, as well as their need for steroid medications to help treat it [26].Another study showed improvements in performance during exercise in COPD sufferers. This was observed through better tissue oxygenation and heart rate after supplementing with CoQ10 [27].How do you know if you would benefit from taking Co Q10?Various issues, including nutrient deficiencies, reduce the body’s ability to make CoQ10 or cause CoQ10 to be used up faster than it can be replaced. In these cases, supplementation can be helpful or may even be necessary [28].While it’s not a very common test, you absolutely can do a blood test to see if you have optimal blood levels of Co Enzyme Q10, and thereby you can deduce if you would potentially benefit from supplementing Co Enzyme Q10.Our CoQ10 capsules are high quality, high purity, all natural, vegetarian and vegan friendly and contains no nasty fillers or binders. Here at Feel Younger, we believe in providing strong doses at reasonable prices. Our Co Enzyme Q10 capsules provide a 200mg dose per capsule, and will cost you no more than $35, with discounts available on subscriptions for multiple bottles. How do you take it?Take one capsule a day. CoQ10 is fat soluble, so it should ideally be taken with a meal containing fat so your body can absorb it.Any cautions?Taking CoQ10 before you go to bed may cause insomnia in some people, so it's best to take it in the morning or afternoon.CoQ10 supplements can interact with some common medications, including blood thinners, antidepressants and chemotherapy drugs.Avoid using ubiquinone together with other herbal/health supplements that can also lower blood pressure.ALWAYS consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking CoQ10 supplements, especially if you are on any medications. It is responsible for 2 extremely important processes in our body. The first process is digestion. No matter how healthy (or not) your diet may be, optimal gut health is important for digestion so that you can absorb nutrients from food efficiently, utilize the building blocks that you need to maintain your body, and efficiently convert the food you eat into energy.Digestive enzymes are proteins that your body makes (mainly in your pancreas, but also in your small intestine, stomach and mouth) to break down food so your body can absorb the nutrients. For example, the digestive enzyme lipase is made to break down fats into glycerol and smaller fatty acids. The digestive enzyme lactase is made to help break down the natural sugar contained within milk which is called lactose. The second extremely important process that your digestive tract is significantly responsible for is your immune system. What Impacts the Health of Your Gut & Digestion? If there is a problem with your digestive tract then digestive symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, bloating, excess gas, abdominal pain, acid reflux and more can develop. But poor gut health can cause inflammation throughout the body, leading to a myriad of different health issues. In fact, ancient traditional modalities of health and healing, like Ayurvedic Medicine, actually believed that ‘all’ ill health had its origins in the gut.The gut is also known as an “extension of the brain” because its walls are lined with a system of neurons that help to govern the function of the gastrointestinal tract, which is known as the intrinsic or enteric nervous system. Again, this was known for thousands of years by Ancient Eastern systems like Taoism, the origin of Acupuncture and Chi Kung, who often referred to the gut as the ‘second brain’.Poor gut health has also been linked to the development of autoimmune disorders. There are many things that can damage the health of your gut and result in worsened digestion, such as: Genetic Factors (see Genetic Insights for more info on how your genetics may increase the likelihood of having gut issues.) Poor diet, including excess sugar and processed foods Nutritional Deficiencies Eating in a stressed state, usually leading to eating too quickly and not chewing your food enough Dehydration GastroIntestinal Dysbiosis, especially SIBO where too many bacteria grow in the small intestine (they are mainly meant to be in the large intestine, even ‘good’ bacteria can cause issues if too many are in the small intestine.) Food intolerances (although these maybe a symptom of gut issues, rather than cause)   Frequent Antibiotics Alcohol (along with any other downsides, alcohol kills all bacteria, good and bad, on contact, similar to an antibiotic, which is why it’s used as a disinfectant) Lack of exercise Smoking Lack of or Poor Quality Sleep Chronic Stress Is There a Test for Digestion? There are a variety of tests that can be taken to check your digestive health. Some of these include:Fecal Occult Blood Test, Stool Culture, Barium Meal, drink or enema, CT, CAT or MRI scans, Defecography, Ultrasound, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic procedures and more. Consult your physician if you are worried about symptoms you are experiencing and they will help you to determine the best course of action.Because your gut microbiome is so important to your overall health [2], it’s important to understand what’s going on, and how your gut is balanced.Microbiome tests can be conducted by your physician or at home. The Top 8 Ways to Improve Your Gut Health:Here’s the top 8 changes you can make to your lifestyle to help support and improve your gastrointestinal health: Eat a clean, diverse organic diet full of nutrient dense foods. Processed (especially fast) foods cause harm to your gut microbiome [3]. Be sure to include prebiotic foods (a type of fiber that isn’t digested) [4] such as oats, bananas, chicory and asparagus, because they promote the growth of certain types of good bacteria. LINK! Drink more water and stay hydrated. This is another way to encourage microbiome diversity [10], and staying hydrated is essential to your overall health, as well as reducing the likelihood of constipation.   Take a digestive enzyme supplement that is also packed full of live “good” bacteria that can help to boost your digestion and gut microbiome: Protease. Responsible for breaking down proteins into amino acids. In a study on piglets, protease supplementation increased nutrient utilization efficiency and growth performance [11].Lipase. Responsible for the breakdown of Fat into fatty acids, ready for your cells to absorb. Lipase is a very important ingredient in a digestive enzyme blend, because many of us struggle to digest the amount of fat we eat.Lactobacillus acidophilus. Often referred to as L. acidophilus, lactobacillus acidophilus is a variety of bacteria that can be found in the intestines which is essential for human health [12].Lactobacillus casei.  A powerful probiotic that is extremely beneficial to the digestive system. A study on patients with chronic constipation found that a probiotic drink containing L.casei helped to see improvements alongside other therapy [13].Lactobacillus plantarum. Found mainly in fermented plant foods such as pickles, L. plantarum has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, blood sugar regulatory, anti-weight gain and antioxidant properties. Studies have shown L. plantarum to reduce the incidence of abdominal pain, loose stools and diarrhea associated with antibiotics [14].Bromelain. Found in pineapples - bromelain is an enzyme that digests protein and has powerful anti-inflammatory properties. It also has pain killing properties [15].Papain. Found in raw papaya plant fruit, papain is a proteolytic enzyme that helps to break down proteins. It has a whole host of benefits, from helping to maintain digestive tract physiology [16], to reducing pain, inflammation and helping to heal wounds quicker. Our digestive enzyme probiotic supplement includes Makzyme-Pro™ Enzyme Blend, which is a formula made up of Protease, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus plantarum. This powerful combination helps to improve your gut health and assists your body in breaking down foods more effectively so that nutrients can be absorbed more efficiently. In addition to Makzyme-Pro™ we have added Bromelain, Papain, Lipase, Lactase and Alpha Galactosidase to further enhance the power and effectiveness of the supplement. We understand that it’s not always easy, nor practical to implement a variety of lifestyle changes - especially all at once. We’d advise that you make as many of the changes listed further up this page as possible, but to do so 1 or 2 at a time, make sure they stick and then move onto more.In the meantime, you can support your body with essential good bacteria it needs to maintain a healthy gut microbiome. Here at Feel younger, we believe in providing strong doses at reasonable prices. Would you like… Stronger Immunity A Nutritional Boost Reduced Inflammation Antioxidant Support Skin & Heart Protection Improved Mood If so, you may want to give our Emergency Immune Support with Echinacea + Elderberry a try!Why is it important to support your immune system?Every day your body comes into contact with different bacteria, viruses, parasites and other potentially harmful substances (pathogens).Your body’s primary defense system against pathogens is your skin, mucus, earwax etc.Should pathogens make their way into your body, your secondary defense system is your immune system.Your immune system protects your body from potential threats, and so - having a healthy and strong immune system is one of, if not the most important aspects to staying fit and healthy. If you have a strong immune system, you’re less likely to suffer from illness or infection - and if you do, a stronger immune system will fight off these threats more quickly and capably, resulting in less serious cases of the illness or infection. What causes a weakened immune system? The main factors that may contribute to a weakened immune system are: Old age [1] Air pollution (environmental toxins) [2] Excessive alcohol consumption [3] Being overweight (especially obesity) [4] Poor Diet [5] Certain medications & recreational drugs Mental stress & anxiety [6] Lack of sleep (or poor quality sleep) [7] Low levels/deficiency of Vitamin D [8] Smoking [9] Lack of exercise [10] Can you test for low immune System Function?Blood tests can help to determine if you have adequate levels of immunoglobulins (infection-fighting proteins) in your blood.Blood tests can also measure the levels of white blood cells (leukocytes) in your body, or specific types of white blood cells, like Neutrophils, which are your first line of defense. If the numbers of certain cells in your blood are outside the “standard range”, this may indicate there is an immune system defect, or that the immune system is still working to recuperate after a recent infection.Blood tests can also show if your immune system is responding properly and appropriately producing the proteins that find and kill foreign invaders (antibodies), such as viruses or bacteria. The Top 9 Ways to Support and Strengthen your Immune System:To keep your immune system healthy and functioning at optimal levels, there are plenty of things you can change in your life that can help: 1. Get 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, every night. If this is something you struggle with, you might want to check out our Sleep Aid Ultra supplement2. Reduce your stress and anxiety. There are many lifestyle changes you can make to combat this, such as meditation. You can also try supplementing with our Serenity Anti-Stress Support or 5 HTP products3. Increase your Vitamin D levels - 30 minutes in the direct sunlight (with the majority of your skin exposed) can provide up to 25,000 IU of Vitamin D. If you live in a country that lacks strong sunshine, or it’s the winter, then Vitamin D supplementation, as found in our All in one Multivitamin Formula, is beneficial4. Eat a healthy diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables, ideally organic. Eating lots of fresh produce will help to lower your body fat percentage, which in turn can strengthen your immune system. Fruit and vegetables are also packed with vitamins and minerals (especially zinc) that are vital to maintain a healthy body and immune system.5. Cut out smoking recreational drugs, such as Marijuana - the smoke is not good for your immune system (see next point)6. Stop smoking tobacco. Smoking compromises the balance of your immune system and increases the risk of contracting autoimmune disorders, such as COPD7. Do more exercise. Even just a 20 minute daily walk has been proven to help strengthen the immune system8. Consume less alcohol. Excessive drinking has been shown to affect the immune system. Alcohol also contains a lot of sugar (alcohol is made from sugars) so cutting down will also help with weight management.9. Support your immune system with the vital nutrients and minerals it needs to get back to peak performance:ElderberryElderberry flowers, berries and leaves contain lots of antioxidants (anthocyanins, phenolics & flavonoids) that can help balance the immune system and lower oxidative stress [11].Although Elderberry grows across North Africa, Asia and America, it is native to Europe and the most common variety is the black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) or European elder.Traditionally used in folk medicine, the leaves and flowers have been used as natural remedies to help reduce inflammation, pain and swelling. The bark was also prepared to help with bowel movements and urination. The berries (fresh or dried) are believed to help relieve toothache, lower back pain, headaches, respiratory infections and constipation.John Evelyn (a british researcher in the 17th century) said: “If the medicinal properties of its leaves, bark and berries (elderberry) were fully known, I cannot tell what our country man could ail for which he might not fetch a remedy, either for sickness or wounds.”Its use has been widespread throughout history, with elderberry-based medication records dating as far back as Ancient Egypt.Since then, substantial amounts of studies have been conducted on elderberry and its ability to help with a wide range of ailments.A study on rats showed elderberry polyphenols supported immune defense by increasing the number of white blood cells [12].Air traveling puts the immune system under enormous stress. Those who fly frequently (and especially long distance) are more susceptible to the common cold.A double-blind placebo-controlled study on air travelers showed that Elderberry supplementation reduced cold symptoms and duration [13].EchinaceaThere are 9 species of the echinacea plant, from which extracts have been used in traditional medicine to help treat the common cold, bacterial infections and blood poisoning [14].The active compounds in Echinacea help to stimulate and/or strengthen the immune system [15].North American Indians primarily used echinacea as medicine. They would gargle with it for sore gums and toothache, use poultices for snakebite, stings, bites and wounds, and would they would also drink concoctions with echinacea in to help treat measles, mumps, arthritis, colds and smallpox. In the 1870’s, Dr. H C F Meyer concocted a herbal medicine with echinacea, which he patented. He described it as the ultimate cure for snakebites and a blood purifier.Since then, in the 1900’s echinacea was accepted by North America Herbalists to help treat most of the same ailments it had been used for in traditional native medicine. There have been many studies on this plant and how it may help your immune system deal with viruses and infections, helping you to recover faster from the illness [16].Vitamin CVitamin C plays a key role in immune-modulating and is essential for an adequate immune response against pathogens, to avoid excessive damage to the host [17].Vitamin EAnimal and human studies have shown the immunoregulatory role of Vitamin E that is associated with reducing the risk for infectious diseases, such as respiratory infections, Streptococcus pneumonia and influenza to name a couple [18].Vitamin B6Vitamin B6 has been shown to help regulate immune responses that are associated with a wide range of problems, including inflammation [19].A study showed that Vitamin B6 deficiency influenced the immune system in 3 key ways [20]: Downregulated SOCS-1 expression, and upregulated T-bet expression Suppressed T lymphocyte differentiation Decreased levels of IL-2 secretion and increased IL-4 secretion (high levels of IL-4 is associated with allergies) ZincZinc plays a crucial role in the immune system, and even a mild deficiency can increase the risk of parasitic, bacterial and viral infections, while impairing immune function [21]. A study on malnourished children & infants in developing countries showed that zinc supplementation reduced the incidence, severity and duration of respiratory infections [22].L-GlutamineGlutamine is an amino acid (the most abundant of all in our bodies). Its naturally occurring form (that our body uses) is called L-Glutamine. To survive, multiply and function properly (defend our body against pathogens), immune cells largely depend on glutamine availability [23].GarlicIn animal studies, garlic extract increased glutathione, which stimulates white blood cells (neutrophils, monocytes, lymphocytes & macrophages) [24].TurmericTurmeric is a spice that is well known for its bright orange/yellow color. Within turmeric, circuminoids are found (bioactive compounds). Traditionally, circumin is known for its antiinflammatory effects, but studies in the past 2 decades have shown circumin is capable of being a potent immunomodulatory agent that can help regulate immune cells [25].Lactobacillus AcidophilusLactobacillus Acidophilus (L. acidophilus) is a gram-positive lactic acid bacterium. In other words, a bacteria that gives a positive effect. In a study on mice, L. acidophilus showed the reversal of age-related immune function decline [26].Introducing Feel Younger® Emergency Immune Support with Echinacea + ElderberryWhile there are many lifestyle changes you can make to help boost your immune system, we understand that it may be difficult or impractical to make these changes. That’s why each of the ingredients listed above can be found in our Emergency Immune Support with Echinacea + Elderberry product, which can help give your immune system the boost it needs to help it get back on track and perform at its very best.By combining these ingredients together in an easy to swallow capsule - we’ve taken the stress out of buying each of these ingredients separately, researching and experimenting how much of each you should take and then incorporating them into your diet/supplement regime. Here at Feel younger, we believe in providing strong doses at reasonable prices. Acidophilus All of which have been shown to potentially have immune boosting effects. How do you take Feel Younger® Emergency Immune Support with Echinacea + Elderberry?Take 2 capsules once a day with a glass of water, preferably 20-30 minutes before a meal. For optimal immune boosting results, we recommend you take this product, and make as many of the lifestyle changes we listed above as possible.Any Cautions?Ingesting too much Zinc can cause nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, diarrhea and headaches, so it’s best to not take any other zinc supplements alongside this product.Elderberry can cause stomach problems if too much is taken. If you have an autoimmune disorder (such as lupus or multiple sclerosis), you should not take this product (because of its echinacea content).Garlic possesses anti-blood-clotting properties, and so can interact with blood thinning medication. It can also lower blood pressure, so this product should not be taken alongside medications that also lower blood pressure. Do not take this product at least 7 days before a surgical procedure.Although very rare, Turmeric may cause nausea, constipation or other gut issues. We do not recommend this product for pregnant women.ALWAYS consult a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements. When your hair is vibrant and healthy, it’s a good sign that you have enough nutrients in your body for the many processes that happen within you to work optimally. When you have healthy hair that is shiny, smooth, has good elasticity, hardly sheds and detangles easily - you will be more confident, which will help you to live a more fulfilling life.If you fail to look after your hair and scalp properly, you may experience split ends, frizziness, dryness, dandruff, itchiness and a distinct objection to looking in any mirror you see!You can also develop a condition called hygral fatigue - damage to your hair follicles which occurs when excess moisture enters the lower layers in the follicle beneath the cuticle (the top layer). When you wet your hair, the follicles expand. When you dry your hair, the follicles contract and close back up.If you wet your hair before it’s totally dry it will cause this process to repeat, which puts strain on the hair follicle - this is called hygral fatigue. This straining on the hair follicles will reduce the overall health, strength and elasticity of your hair.Symptoms of hygral fatigue are: Excess breakage & brittle hair Dull hair Frizzy hair Easily tangled hair (& excessively tangling) Can cause dryness Some of the main factors that can cause hygral fatigue are: Genetics based on how porous the hair follicle is (how easily water gets through) Overwashing with shampoos and conditioners which strip your scalp of natural protective oils that help to stop moisture getting into the follicles Excessive or frequent use of deep conditioners and hair masks also strips protective oils Highly alkaline hair products can also strip protective oils from your scalp, cause hair breakages and damage to hair follicle cuticles.. Hygral fatigue can lead to premature hair loss, which is definitely not a way to feel younger! How can you tell if your Hair & Scalp are healthy, or if they need some Support?Healthy hair should be: Smooth and shiny in appearance Have good elasticity Doesn’t shed many strands Has minimum breakages Easily detangles Doesn’t frizz much in humid conditions A healthy scalp should be: Flake free Itch and irritation free Clear of redness or signs of infection No signs of disruption to the skin of the scalp The Top 10 ways to Improve the Health of your Hair and ScalpHere’s the top 10 things you can do to improve the health and overall looks of your hair and scalp: Eat an organic, nutrient dense diet. Your hair needs essential vitamins and minerals (particularly B vitamins) to enable proper growth [1] Don’t overwash your hair. Every 2-3 days will suffice [2]. Don’t use overly alkaline shampoos and conditioners. Products with a pH value of 5.5 (the same as your scalp) can help to prevent damage to hair cuticles, lessen the chance of breakages and stripping away natural oils on the scalp [3]. Don’t deep condition or use hair masks too often. If your hair or scalp are already damaged, we’d recommend deep conditioning and using hair masks once or twice a month at the most, to avoid any further damage. Be sure to follow the recommendations on your hair products bottles. Leaving products on for too long can cause hair shafts to expand too much and break off. Don’t wet your hair again until it’s completely dry. Doing so contributes to the development of hygral fatigue, which is irreversible. Take care brushing your hair. It’s best to brush your hair when it’s dry, to reduce the chances of breakages or pulling hair out of the follicles when they’re swollen and open. Take care when shampooing. Massage shampoo into your scalp gently to prevent damage to it. The same goes for your hair - when you shampoo with too much force, you risk damaging the outer layer of your hair. Don’t rub your hair with a towel. There’s a natural tendency to rub your hair when it’s wet - however, this is when your hair and scalp are in their most vulnerable state. Instead, gently pat it dry or wrap a towel around your hair and leave it to dry naturally. Stop excessively brushing and combing. There’s a common myth that 100 strokes with a brush a day is essential for hair health… however - this is not the case. Excessive brushing and combing can lead to further hair loss [4] Provide your hair and scalp with nutrients and oils it needs to prevent damage and remain healthy: Argan Oil. Made from kernels from the fruit of the argan tree - argan oil contains antioxidants and fatty acids that can benefit your scalp.Jojoba Oil. Jojoba is a plant native to the deserts of North America. The nut grown by the Jojoba plant is especially sought after for its healing properties.Oil made from the nuts act as a humectant (to keep things moist), so it can help to reduce dandruff and keep your scalp hydrated and moisturized.Waxy in nature, it can create a soothing layer on the surface of your scalp to help ease irritation. This layer of oil on your skin will also help to regulate sebum production in your hair follicles.Jojoba oil also contains vitamin E, which is a powerful antioxidant. A study found that applying antioxidants to skin helped to improve the synthesis of collagen [5], which plays a crucial role in the health of your hair and scalp follicles.Vitamin E Oil. Vitamin E has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and is beneficial for scalp health [6] because it can support the overall health of your scalp by potentially preventing hair loss, balancing oil production, adding a desirable shine to your hair and improving circulation to the scalp.Sweet Almond Oil. Almond oil has been used traditionally for centuries to help soothe skin and is full of vitamin E and vitamin A. It can help to strengthen and repair your hair, while making it feel softer to the touch. Its vitamin E content can help to combat the stress your hair endures on an everyday basis from the environment, giving it that younger and healthier look.Apricot Kernel Oil. Rich in vitamin E and fatty acids, this oil is emollient in nature (softening & smoothening) and can be easily absorbed into the scalp.Avocado Oil. High in fatty acids and vitamins A and E - the topical application of this oil can also reap the benefits of the oils rich antioxidant content and can promote skin membrane health [7].Pumpkin Seed Oil. Can help to stimulate new hair growth.Grapeseed Oil. Helps to add strength to your hair, as well as providing moisture and shine.Hempseed Oil. Contains fatty acids omega-3 & omega-6 which can help to hydrate the hair and scalp, as well as providing extra protection.By combining the ingredients listed above into an easy to apply hair oil - we’ve taken the stress out of researching and buying each of these ingredients separately, and then trying to mix them together into the “perfect concoction” you can use daily. Here at Feel Younger®, we believe in providing top quality products at reasonable prices and use only the best ingredients we can get our hands on. Feel Younger - Krill Oil Omega 3 500mg 30caps Feel Younger - Krill Oil Omega 3 500mg 30caps
Feel Younger Feel Younger - Krill Oil Omega 3 500mg 30caps
Do you suffer from any of the following issues? High cholesterol High blood pressure Joint pain Rheumatoid arthritis Skin disorders (e.g. psoriasis, dermatitis) Obesity AMD (age-related macular degeneration) Heart disease Depression Liver disease Osteoporosis Chronic inflammation ADHD Struggles to concentrate Asthma If so, then Krill Oil Omega-3 could be one of the essential supplements to improve your overall health. How can Krill Oil Omega-3 help you with this? The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends every person consume around two portions of fish each week, as the omega-3s found in fish and other sea creatures are a key ingredient in living a healthy, balanced lifestyle. If you’re vegetarian, vegan, or simply don’t eat seafood, then you should receive your weekly intake of omega-3 through a natural supplement. The omega-3 nutrients found in marine life are an important source of energy and have been scientifically proven to support your immune system. These nutrients are present in every cell wall in the body, and therefore play an important role in building and maintaining your natural defense systems. One of the key health benefits of Krill Oil Omega-3 is that it reduces inflammation. Inflammation is our natural response to fighting infections and healing injuries. However, chronic inflammation is associated with numerous health disorders, including asthma, obesity, depression, and heart disease. By reducing inflammation, we can alleviate symptoms of these diseases.    Krill Oil Omega-3 has also been known to improve risk factors surrounding heart disease. Several decades ago, researchers noticed that fish-eating communities had unusually low rates of heart diseases and strokes. Since then, omega-3 fatty acids have been linked to numerous benefits for heart health, such as reducing triglycerides, lowering blood pressure, raising "good" HDL cholesterol levels, and clearing plaque from the walls of your arteries. What are other benefits of Krill Oil Omega-3?Krill Oil Omega-3 can be considered one of the fundamental supplements, in that it can be used to manage a wide range of health conditions. Some additional proven health benefits of krill oil include: Improve eyesight Improve brain health Skin health Reduce symptoms of ADHD Stronger immune system Emotional and mental wellbeing Lower levels of liver fat Alleviate menstrual pain What is Krill Oil Omega-3?Omega-3 fish oils are an effective health supplement containing the natural fats extracted from fish tissue. It is typically taken from oily fish such as tuna, anchovies, herring and mackerel. However, it’s also sometimes produced from the livers of other fish — for example, cod liver oil.Over the past years, Krill Oil has rapidly gained popularity as an alternative to fish oil. It is made from krill, a small crustacean consumed by whales, penguins and other sea animals. Similar to fish oil, Krill Oil Omega-3 is a strong source of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and astaxanthin, natural omega-3 fats only found in marine life. Many consider Krill Oil superior to Fish Oil because it contains astaxanthin. In addition to being a powerful antioxidant, astaxanthin is also a natural preservative. This prevents the omega-3 fish oil from turning rancid, which is a common problem with other fish oils. How is our Krill Oil Omega-3 supplement better than others you may have tried?Omega-3 is a popular health supplement on the market, but certain manufacturers do not adhere to the same high standards of quality as Feel Younger. There are several reasons why our Krill Oil Omega-3 supplements are superior to similar products. To begin with, our supplement has a higher concentration of the active ingredients EPA and DHA. These two key nutrients present in fish and marine life oils play an essential role in improving your immune system and counteracting the effects of ageing. Although many Omega-3 supplements advertise 1000mg of fatty oils on the front of their containers, if you look at the list of ingredients on the back, you’ll notice they often contain as little as 320mg of EPA and DHA. On the other hand, Feel Younger’s Krill Oil Omega-3 supplements have a 500mg portion of EPA and DHA, promising you the healthy, recommended intake of these two nutrients. Our Krill Oil Omega-3 supplements also contain another key nutrient: astaxanthin. Studies have shown that astaxanthin activates the white blood cells in your body, improving your immune system. It has also been known to help protect your skin from UV damage.Feel Younger’s Krill Oil Omega-3 supplements also come in softgel capsules. As a result, they're easily absorbed into the body and don’t have the unpleasant fishy taste of similar supplements. As is the case with all our dietary supplements, the Feel Younger krill oil capsules are gluten-free and made from all natural ingredients. How do you take Krill Oil Omega-3?As a dietary supplement, it’s recommended you take one (1) softgel capsule twice a day. For the best results, take your dose 20-30 minutes before a meal with an 8oz. glass of water or as directed by your healthcare professional. Are there any cautions?Though omega-3 supplements are generally considered safe, you should check with a healthcare professional before taking them. If you are allergic to fish or shellfish, seek advice from your healthcare professional first.Fish oil is likely safe for most people in doses of 5 grams or less dailyFish oil might slow blood clotting. Taking fish oil along with medications that also slow blood clotting might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18, and individuals with a known medical condition should also consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement. If you’d like… To Improve Your Chances of Living a Longer, Healthier & more Fulfilling Life Improved Vitality Antioxidant Support Anti-inflammatory Support Improved Immune Function Improved Heart Health Cholesterol Level Support Improved Gut Health Improved Mood Better Blood Sugar Regulation then give our Longevity 10x Mushroom Formula a try! This product can potentially give you some additional benefits, such as: Protection for your kidneys Improved brain health & function Improved lung function and boosted exercise performance Helping to combat fatigue What is Longevity, and why is it so important?Longevity is defined as “long life”, and is sometimes referred to as an individual's life expectancy… so I guess it’s clear why this is important! But when you ask people if they’d like to live longer, many people say they don’t want to live longer, because they just imagine more years spent being old and infirm, diseased, helpless and in pain. That’s not what we're talking about here! We’re talking about adding more Life to your Years, as well as Years to your Life! To put it differently, we want to delay, as long as possible, how long it takes for you to FEEL old. This is our definition of Longevity…Feeling Younger for Longer!Of course, there are a whole host of contributing factors to an individual's duration of life and advanced aging, some of which are out of our control, such as social adversity, and others that are made through the choice of where and how we live. Here are the main contributors that can be detrimental to our longevity: Poor diet (including little organic food intake) Being overweight or obese Poor sleep, and not enough of it Smoking Addiction to drugs Excessive alcohol drinking Stress and anxiety Not exercising regularly Depression Negativity (especially in relation to emotions such as anger and fear) Overworking Living in isolation Air and plastic pollution Ignoring problems with your body (and mind), that could be cured or treated Is there a test for longevity?Although predicting one's life expectancy is near impossible, there are tests you can take to measure your “biological” age [1].One such test measures telomeres, which are protective caps on the ends of chromosomes that are found in your cells [2] - think of telomeres as the plastic cap on the ends of shoelaces… they stop the lace (our DNA) from unraveling and dismantling our genetic information. Our telomeres shorten every time our cells divide, which disrupts the cells ability to function, and eventually the cell dies.Otherwise, there are also many blood tests you can take to help paint a picture of your overall health by measuring the levels of essential vitamins and minerals in your body, showing levels of inflammation that can be linked to problems, and more! Here’s some of the main blood tests you can take: Complete Blood Count (CBC), hs-CRP (C-reactive protein), Lipid Panel, Uric Acid, TSH (Thyroid Hormones), Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP), Vitamin D, Iron, GGT and HbA1c.As well as blood tests, you can also do a blood pressure test and you can have a general health checkups with your physician where they should check for a variety of different problems. Even working out your BMI (Body Mass Index) is somewhat predictive of life expectancy, and all you need for this is a scale and a tape measure to get your weight and heigh. The Top 15 Ways to improve your chances of Living as Long, and Healthily, as possible:As we explained a little further up the page, there are many things that can be detrimental to your longevity. Here’s the top 15 lifestyle changes you can make to help increase your chances of living longer: Eat a clean organic diet. Processed foods have been linked to increased inflammation [3]. This will also combat obesity and being overweight, which can result in a decrease in life expectancy [4].   Maintain a regular, healthy sleeping pattern. For most adults, this is 7-8 hours of deep, uninterrupted sleep every night. Sticking to the same patterns has been linked to increased longevity [5]. Quit smoking. Smoking increases the risk of contracting serious health problems [6]. Seek help to stop taking drugs. Life expectancy of those who are addicted to drugs is significantly lower. Stop drinking excessively. Excessive alcohol consumption is linked to liver damage, amongst other problems [7] Reduce your stress and anxieties. Stress and anxiety negatively impacts the body [8]. There are many ways to lower your stress levels, such as meditation. You can also try supplementing with our Serenity Anti-Stress Support or 5 HTP products. Improve your mood. Psychological disorders, especially depression, have been linked to lowered life expectancy, so it’s best to seek help if you are struggling with your mental health [9].One of the first things you can do is test your vitamin D levels… Vitamin D helps to regulate our mood and is synthesized in your skin when it comes into contact with direct sunlight. So if it’s winter or you live in a country that doesn’t see much sun, vitamin D supplementation as found in our multivitamin product can potentially have dramatic effects on your mood [10]. Stop being so negative. Negativity can lead to emotions such as anger, fear, disgust and so on… all of which cause stress, and lead to health problems in the long term. Again, meditation is a great place to start. Exercise regularly. Around 150 minutes a week or more has been linked to increased life expectancy [11]. Minimize your overtime and your working hours. An analysis on a study that saw employees working long hours and overtime were more susceptible to suffering from a range of health problems such as shorter sleep duration, fatigue, sleeping problems and physical injuries. [12]. Socialize with people who don’t cause you stress or anxiety. Social isolation has been linked to increased risk of inflammation, and is detrimental to our mental health and overall mood [13]. Get out of the city (if you can) or take regular trips to the countryside. Long term exposure to air pollution can enhance the chances of contracting respiratory and cardiovascular diseases [14]. It’s also a great way to de-stress.   Limit your exposure to microplastics and other toxins. While the effects of a lifetime of microplastic buildup in the human body is largely unknown - hundreds of articles report whales washing up dead with hundreds, and sometimes thousands of pieces of plastic in their bodies. With that in mind, limiting your exposure as much as possible can’t harm. This means buying as much fresh produce that isn’t wrapped in plastic as possible, and removing packaging as quickly as possible if it is. The worst to watch out for is plastic water bottles (so buy glass wherever you can), and hot food served in plastic or polystyrene containers causes the microplastics to melt into the food… nasty! Get regularly checked by your physician. Don’t ignore your pains, get on top of it before it becomes a problem. Support your body with mushrooms that can help to increase your overall health, vitality and longevity: Cordyceps - a type of fungi that is known to have around 600 species, most of which grow on the larvae of insects. They’re best known for their potential anti-aging and antioxidant properties, which has made them extremely popular among the elderly in recent years for their ability to boost strength, reduce fatigue and combat free radicals that cause damage to the cells in our bodies [15].Reishi Mushroom - this fungus has been included in eastern medicine for many years, and grows in several humid and hot areas in Asia [16].Reishi mushrooms can help boost the immune system [17], improve fatigue and low mood [18], improve heart health by raising good (HDL) cholesterol levels and decreasing triglycerides [19] and have been shown to decrease blood sugar levels in mice and other animal studies [20].Shiitake Mushroom - a dark brown mushroom that is native to east Asia [21] and has been used in traditional chinese medicine to boost longevity, health and circulation. The Anti-inflammatory properties of shiitake mushrooms has been studied [22], as well as their potential to boost heart health and lower blood pressure [23], boost the immune system [24].Shiitake mushrooms are also thought to possess antiviral and antibacterial properties [25] which is extremely important because of the rise of antibiotic resistance.Lion's Mane - this large white mushroom has been used in eastern medicine for many years [26].Studies have shown lion’s mane to contain hericenones and erinacines - two important compounds that can help to invigorate brain cell growth [27].Studies on mice have shown that lion’s mane extract possesses anti-inflammatory properties, and reduces depression and anxiety [28].Lion’s mane is also thought to be able to protect the stomach lining from damage and inhibit the growth of H. pylori in the stomach and intestines which is one of the major factors in the development of stomach ulcers [29].Additionally, Lion’s mane can increase heart health by helping to lower cholesterol levels, and reducing risk factors associated with heart problems [30].Maitake Mushroom - lowered cholesterol levels in mice [31] and had a positive effect on rats with type 2 diabetes [32].Turkey Tail - another mushroom that is packed with powerful antioxidants [33], can boost the immune system due to its polysaccharopeptides content [34] and can increase gut health [35].We understand that it’s not always easy, nor practical to implement a variety of lifestyle changes - especially all at once. We’d advise that you make as many of those changes as possible, but do so 1 or 2 at a time, make sure they stick and then move onto more.In the meantime, you can support your body with mushrooms that can potentially boost your longevity and vitality, allowing you to live a longer, healthier and more fulfilled life. That’s why we’ve included the mushrooms listed above in our Longevity Formula, along with a few others such as Royal Sun Agaricus, White Button Mushroom and Black Fungus to give you an effective dose of 10 powerful mushrooms.By combining these mushrooms together into an easy to swallow capsule, we’ve taken the stress out of buying each of these ingredients separately, researching and experimenting how much of each you should take and then incorporating them into your diet/supplement regime. Here at Feel younger, we believe in providing strong doses at reasonable prices. Our Longevity 10x Mushroom Formula capsules provide a 1330 mg daily dose, and will cost you no more than $35, with discounts available on multiple bottle and subscription purchasesHow do you take Feel Younger® Longevity 10x Mushroom Formula?Take two capsules once a day.For optimal results take 20-30 minutes before a meal with a glass of water.Any Cautions? If you are allergic or sensitive to mushrooms, you SHOULD NOT use this product.Although rare, possible side effects could be upset stomach and sensitivity to sunlight. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a blood disorder, are due to go into surgery or experience low blood pressure you should check with your physician first due to the maitake mushroom content which can lower blood pressure.ALWAYS consult a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements. Feel Younger Feel Younger - Moringa 800mg 60caps
Would you like: A Good Night’s Sleep Elevated Mood Reduced Inflammation Help with Weight Management Healthy Blood Pressure Levels Balanced Blood Sugar Levels Revitalized Skin and Hair Antioxidant Support If so, you may love Moringa.Moringa has also been shown to help support: Reduced IBS symptoms Possibly fighting against some infections due to its antibacterial, antifungal, and antimicrobial properties Improved Wound Healing Improved Eye Health Moringa has medicinal properties and contains many healthy compounds including polyphenol and flavonoid antioxidants, such as quercetin and blood-pressure-lowering chlorogenic acid [1].What is Moringa and where does it come from?Moringa (Moringa oleifera) is a tropical tree native to the Himalayan mountains and India. It’s known by various names around the world, such as, Drumstick tree, Horseradish tree, Munga or Malunggay [2].Moringa leaf powder has become increasingly popular since it gained the status of a superfood.Moringa contains isothiocyanates, molecules similar to the very healthy sulforaphane found in cruciferous vegetables [3].Traditional UseMoringa plays an important part in Ayurvedic traditional medicine. According to Ayurvedic tradition, moringa can be used to prevent 300 diseases. In Ancient Egypt, it was used as a cosmetic product to nourish the skin [4].Almost all parts of the plant such as the bark, leaves, seeds, flowers, roots, and immature pods, can be consumed in one form or another. Most commonly it is the leaves that are consumed and used in traditional medicine because they are rich in antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, and carry many nutritional and health benefits. They are traditionally used to boost nutrition and prevent nutrient deficiencies, for malaria, typhoid fever, high blood pressure, and diabetes [5].The seeds and roots of moringa are also believed to help fight bacteria and fungi, and they can also aid in the purification process of water [6].Nutritious oil (“ben oil”) can also be made from the seeds, which is rich in oleic acid similar to olive oil but it is stable at higher temperatures [7].Now hailed as the “miracle tree” [8], it wasn’t until recently that its use started to spread outside of Asia and scientists began to get curious about the various benefits that Moringa possesses.Story of DiscoveryMoringa was first discovered in northern India, around 2000 BC. Traditional doctors quickly discovered its medicinal qualities.Aristocracy and members of royal families took Moringa for its beneficial effects on mental alertness and healthy skin and it became an essential part of traditional Ayurvedic medicine. In ancient India Moringa extract was given to Mauryan fighters on war fronts. They believed it would give them the necessary strength and energy during fights, while also helping with the stress of battle and pain from injuries. The ancient Egyptians highly valued Moringa oil, which was used instead of sunscreen. In Europe, it was the ancient Greeks who discovered various other valuable effects Moringa had on human health. In the later period they introduced Moringa to the Romans, who dispersed the knowledge throughout their empire. In 1817, the Jamaican chamber (at that time still a British colony) discussed Moringa. At the hearing they introduced Moringa oil as a healthy ingredient for salads and other culinary purposes. Within the British Empire Moringa expanded into many other countries around the world. How does it work?Moringa has many benefits, depending on what part of the plant is consumed - it has many active components, the mechanisms of which have been investigated largely in cell and animal studies [9]: Moringa contains tryptophan, which is known to relax the body and help it create serotonin, which is a precursor to melatonin - the main hormone involved in sleep Moringa is very nutritionally dense, so consuming it regularly potentially prevents vitamin, mineral, and nutrient deficiencies [10]. Potentially increases milk production by increasing prolactin levels in the blood [11]. Reduces markers of inflammation such as TNF-alpha, IL-6 and IL-8 [12]. Fights free radicals and increases antioxidants in cells [13]. Reduces blood sugar levels, cholesterol, and other fats in cells [14]. Increases fat break-down and prevents new fats from being made and stored (in cells) [15]. Prevented blood sugar dysregulation and weight gain even in rats fed a high-fat diet. It worked by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation [16]. People mainly use Moringa to:Boost NutritionMoringa has many nutritional benefits and is rich in vitamins and minerals that are essential for a healthy body.100 g of dry moringa leaves contain [17]: 9 x the Provitamin A (i.e. beta-carotene) found in carrots 15 x the Potassium found in bananas 17 x the Calcium of milk 12 x the Vitamin C of oranges, higher in fresh leaves (200 mg) and highest in freeze-dried leaves 25 x the Iron of spinach Vitamin E (about 100 mg) B vitamins: B1, B2, and B3 Essential amino acids and proteins Support Weight ManagementMoringa can help manage blood sugar levels and support weight management by reducing fat formation. It also promotes fat breakdown. In a study conducted on mice, those that were fed a very high fat diet and 5% moringa concentrate gained significantly less weight over the 3 month study, compared to the mice that were just fed the very high fat diet.Body composition at 4, 8 and 12 weeks showed lower fat accumulation and greater free fat (lean mass) as percentage of body weight in the 5% Moringa concentrate-fed mice compared to the very high fat diet-fed mice [18].Elevate MoodAs Moringa is high in Tryptophan, which is known to relax the body and help it create serotonin - it is thought to be helpful in treating depression, anxiety, and fatigue.A study conducted on Mice appeared to show promising potential on mood elevation [19].Ease Inflammation and IBSMoringa root, bark, leaf, and flower extracts are anti-inflammatory [20].Moringa may help reduce important inflammatory markers in immune cells, such as TNF-alpha, IL-6, and IL-8. It could also reduce the activity of genes that worsen the inflammatory reaction. In rats with gut inflammation, moringa seed extract reduced inflammation and swelling, ulcers, and overall gut damage. In cells, it could reduce the inflammation-worsening nitric oxide, and at the same time boost the anti-inflammatory IL-10 in immune cells.Sulforaphane-like compounds in moringa blocked the same pathways that painkillers target (COX-2) and reduced inflammation on a DNA-level (reducing MAPKs and NF-κB) [21] In rats, moringa seed extract rich in this compound reduced pain and inflammation similar to aspirin. This powerful compound had similar anti-inflammatory effects as curcumin in cells. How do you take it?Take 1-2 capsules a day, with water and preferably 20-30 minutes before a meal… however depending on what benefits you’d like to focus on when taking Moringa, it may be better to: Take Moringa in the morning to prime your body by giving it the foundation it needs to keep your energy levels high throughout the day. Take Moringa at night to help give your body the fuel and nutrients it needs to sleep well. Any cautions?Taking too much Moringa can impact your body’s ability to uptake certain nutrients and may lower blood pressure and heart rate too much in certain cases.ALWAYS consult a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements. Just like your hair, your beard needs to be washed. If you neglect it, it will become greasy and sebum (oil) will block your hair follicles increasing the risk of beard hairs falling out [2].   Don’t spend too long in the sun. Overexposure to the sun can result in UV radiation damaging your beard hair [3]. It will also dry it out, which will increase the chances of strands snapping. You should also limit use of blow dryers, and other heat inducing devices on your beard. Reduce your stress. Many studies have been conducted on how stress affects hair growth and loss [4]. Stop smoking. Smoking inhibits proper circulation of blood around your body. This means that your beard hair and follicles won’t get the oxygen and nutrients they need to grow optimally [5]. Don’t comb your beard too often. Over combing your beard will cause hairs to break or fall out, potentially giving you an uneven look. Don’t rub your beard dry with a towel. Excessively rubbing your beard dry with a towel will again cause hairs to fall out. Instead, pat it dry. Arrange a thyroid test. If your beard is patchy or losing hair excessively, your thyroid could be the cause [6].  Don’t trim it too early. It’s incredibly important to leave your beard to grow without a trim for 4-6 weeks. Once it’s grown out, you can even it up with a trim to “train” your beard to grow to the shape you want.  Support your beard with the minerals and nutrients it needs to grow and stay healthy: Golden Jojoba Oil. Jojoba is a plant native to the deserts of North America. The nut grown by the Jojoba plant is especially sought after for its healing properties.Oil made from the nuts act as a humectant (to keep things moist), so it can help to reduce beard dandruff and keep the skin under your beard hydrated and moisturized.Waxy in nature, it can create a soothing layer on the surface of your skin to help ease irritation. This layer of oil on your skin will also help to regulate sebum production in your hair follicles.Jojoba oil also contains vitamin E, which is a powerful antioxidant. A study found that applying antioxidants to skin helped to improve the synthesis of collagen [7].Naturally refined shea butter. Shea butter is made from the nuts of shea trees and is high in fatty acids and vitamins. It will help to keep the skin underneath your beard moisturized and hydrated, preventing itching and beard dandruff.Pure beeswax. Beeswax is taken from a bee colony's honeycomb (that worker bees make to store honey in) and due to its vitamin A content, it is naturally moisturizing. It also has antibacterial properties. For most people, beeswax does not block hair follicles on the skin and is not an irritant.Beeswax will help you to mold straggly hairs and hide split ends in your beard.Argan Oil. Made from kernels from the fruit of the argan tree - argan oil contains antioxidants and fatty acids that can benefit your beard and the skin underneath it.Vitamin E Oil. Vitamin E has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and is beneficial for skin health [8]. It can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions like acne.Sweet Almond Oil. Almond oil has been used traditionally for centuries to help soothe skin and is full of vitamin E and vitamin A. Feel Younger Feel Younger - Nitric Oxide Circulation Support Formula 60caps
If you’d like to… Reduce Your Blood Pressure Improve Heart Health Widen Your Blood Vessels & Increase Your Circulation Increase Blood Flow To Your Organs & Extremities Improve Your Cholesterol Levels Boost Brain Function Then you may want to give our Nitric Oxide Circulation Support Formula, NO Booster, a try! This supplement can potentially also give you a whole host of other benefits, such as: Improved Blood Sugar Regulation Better Skin Health Enhanced Athletic Performance & Weight Training Results Faster Wound Healing Better Immune Function Why would I want to boost Nitric Oxide, and why is it important to Support Your Circulation?Nitric oxide is a very important molecule that is made in your body. It is responsible for the promotion of proper blood flow around your body by widening (dilating) blood vessels. This dilation improves blood flow to the extremities which will boost brain function, increase exercise performance and lower blood pressure.Adequate circulation of blood to your organs and extremities is vital when it comes to health.Networks of capillaries, arteries and veins (also known as blood vessels) spread from the very tip of your head, all the way throughout your body down to the soles of your feet. It’s extremely important to have free flowing blood vessels to keep your blood pressure at normal rates, which puts less strain on the heart while it pumps blood around your body.Your blood carries oxygen, vital minerals and nutrients, hormones and white blood cells to body tissues. It then collects waste products and takes them to the kidneys and liver to be filtered and removed from the body. Blood is also essential for optimal body temperature regulation. If you have suboptimal circulation, your body is not going to be able to do any of these things efficiently.Poor circulation can lead to a variety of health problems, such as: Reduced oxygen flow to the brain which is detrimental to mental clarity and mood Reduced athletic performance, causing inefficient use of muscles Reduced flow of key nutrients and minerals to extremities, often leading to cold hands and feet. Slower immune response and wound healing, and higher risk of infection from wounds (because your blood carries white blood cells that are used for healing and to fight infections in your body) Over tiredness, lack of energy, unable to concentrate and fatigue Alopecia and/or loss of hair, as well as slower hair & nail growth For men, erectile dysfunction can occur Discolored skin Muscle stiffness, weakness, pain or numbness (especially in the legs) Poor circulation increases the risk of developing cardiovascular problems. What Leads to Poor Circulation?A variety of factors can lead to poor circulation: Poor diet Being overweight or obese Not exercising regularly Smoking High blood pressure Diabetes Stress Blood clots Anemia Varicose veins Atherosclerosis How Do You Test Your Circulation?A variety of symptoms can develop if your circulation is sub-optimal: Blue or pale skin Cold or numbness in the feet or hands Bulging veins or swelling Chest pain Weak or painful muscles Pins and needles If you experience any of these symptoms, consult your physician. Some tests that can be done to assess your circulation are: Ultrasound CT scan (computed tomography) ABI test (ankle-brachial index) and other blood pressure tests Stress test Various blood tests Angiography Blood sugar test to check for diabetes The Top 8 Ways to Improve Your CirculationHere’s the top 8 lifestyle changes you can make to improve your circulation: Eat an organic, nutrient dense diet. There is a direct link between poor nutrition and Cardiovascular problems [1]. Atherosclerosis is the thickening or hardening of the inside of arteries due to plaque buildup caused by poor diet. Maintain a healthy weight. Eating an organic, nutrient dense diet should help to normalize your weight over time. Being overweight increases blood pressure [2]. Too much pressure in your blood vessels can cause them to expand more than intended, destroying elasticity and effectively “slackening” your network of vessels.   Exercise regularly. Around 150 minutes a week is recommended, and there are a variety of health benefits from doing so. Being regularly active decreases atherosclerotic plaque formation and aortic valve calcification [3]. Regular exercise also keeps a healthy flow of blood to the brain [4]. Quit Smoking. Smoking cigarettes inhibits optimal blood flow to the brain, which can cause a variety of problems in the long term, such as increased risk of dementia [5]. Reduce your stress. Stress causes high blood pressure, amongst other problems… and as mentioned above, high blood pressure slackens blood vessels and causes inefficient circulation [6]. There are many ways to reduce your stress levels, such as meditation. You can also try supplementing with our Serenity Anti-Stress Support or 5 HTP products Reduce your blood pressure. As well as the above points, you can also reduce salt in your diet (sodium), limit alcohol consumption and improve the quality of your sleep. If sleep is something you struggle with, you can try supplementing with our Sleep Aid Ultra, 5 HTP or Saffron supplements. Keep your diabetes in check. Abnormal glucose levels in the blood can cause damage to the inner lining of your blood vessels, which will hinder blood flow [7]. Support your circulation with nutrients that can help to boost Nitric Oxide in your body to keep your blood vessels dilated and free flowing: Niacin. Also known as vitamin B3, niacin can help to reduce blood fat levels (cholesterol) [8] and reduce blood pressure by dilating (opening) the capillaries, increasing blood flow. [9].L-arginine. L-arginine is an amino acid that can increase vasodilation (because it is turned into nitric oxide, which widens blood vessels), thus lowering blood pressure and increasing blood flow to muscles [10].L-citrulline. Another amino acid that can help with blood vessel widening by boosting nitric oxide production. A study on elderley men showed that L-citrulline helped to increase femoral blood flow and vascular conductance when doing lower limb exercises [11].Introducing Feel Younger® Nitric Oxide Circulation Support Formula, NO BoosterWe understand that it’s not always easy, nor practical to implement a variety of lifestyle changes - especially all at once. We’d advise that you make as many of those changes as possible, but do so 1 or 2 at a time, make sure they stick and then move onto more.In the meantime, you can support your body with the essential nutrients and minerals it needs to help boost nitric oxide production in your body, to help widen your blood vessels and increase blood flow. That’s why we’ve included the above ingredients in our Nitric Oxide Circulation Support Formula, NO Booster supplement.By combining all of these ingredients together into an easy to swallow capsule, we’ve taken the stress out of buying each of these ingredients separately, researching and experimenting how much of each you should take and then incorporating them into your diet/supplement regime. How Do You Take Feel Younger® Nitric Oxide Circulation Support Formula, NO BoosterTake two capsules once a day.For the best results, take 20-30 minutes before a meal with a glass of water.Any Cautions? In very rare cases, people may experience diarrhea, nausea or a tingling sensation. Do you struggle with… Fatigue Dry skin Mood swings or depression Anxiety Poor memory Heart Problems Poor circulation If you answered yes to any of the above, you may be deficient in Omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA. Supplementing with omega-3s may be able to help. The potential benefits of omega-3s include the following(1): Reduces Depression and Anxiety Promote Brain Health During Pregnancy and Early Life Reduce Symptoms of ADHD in Children Reduces Inflammation May Improve Bone and Joint Health Improve Eye Health Improve Risk Factors for Heart Disease Reduce Symptoms of Metabolic Syndrome May Help Prevent Cancer What are Omega 3, EPA and DHA?Omega-3s are a family of essential fatty acids that play important roles in your body and may provide a number of health benefits (2).As your body cannot produce them on its own, you must get them from your diet. Common foods that are high in omega-3 fatty acids include fatty fish, fish oils, flax seeds, chia seeds, and walnuts. There are three main types of omega-3 fatty acids — ALA, DHA, and EPA.ALA Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) is the most common omega-3 fatty acid in your diet (3).Your body mainly uses it for energy, but it can also be converted into the biologically active forms of omega-3, EPA and DHA.However, this conversion process is inefficient. Only a small percentage of ALA is converted into the active forms (4).ALA is found in foods like flax seeds, flaxseed oil, canola oil, chia seeds, walnuts, hemp seeds, and soybeans.EPA Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is mostly found in animal products, such as fatty fish and fish oil. However, some microalgae also contain EPA.It has several functions in your body. EPA prevents the blood from clotting easily, reduces triglyceride levels in the blood, and has effects that might reduce pain and swelling. (5) Getting more EPA in your diet has positive effects on coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, and inflammation. (6)DHA Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is the most important omega-3 fatty acid in your body. It’s a key structural component of your brain, the retina of your eyes, and numerous other body parts (7).Like EPA, it occurs mainly in animal products like fatty fish and fish oil. Meat, eggs, and dairy from grass-fed animals also tend to contain significant amounts.Research shows that omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation and may help lower risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and arthritis (8).Signs and symptoms of omega-3 deficiency include: (9) Skin irritation and dryness Dry Eyes Hair changes High Blood Pressure Fatigue Depression Joint pain and stiffness High Cholesterol Cardiovascular Disease Poor memory Long term omega 3 deficiencies can lead to severe health issues and chronic conditions over time. If you do not eat a diet high in oily fish, you may be at risk of a deficiency in omega-3s. And if you do eat a diet high in fish you could be at risk for high contamination from neurotoxins like mercury. There is essentially no mercury in omega-3 fish oil (10), as this neurotoxin binds to proteins and not oils.Methylmercury (MeHg) is the major organic form we are exposed to when we eat fish. All fish and shellfish contain some MeHg, but larger, longer-lived predatory fish generally have the highest levels. Methylmercury is particularly hazardous because it can cross the blood-brain barrier causing neurological impairment. (11) For this reason, many health advocates caution against eating a diet very high in fish.It is also important to have the proper ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids in your diet (12) because too much omega 6 can be associated with worsening inflammation over time. (13). In fact, chronic inflammation may be one of the leading drivers of the most serious modern diseases. Those who follow a Western diet are typically eating way too many omega-6s relative to omega-3s. Adding an omega 3 supplement to your diet can optimize the balance of the omega fats which can reduce your risk of heart disease, chronic inflammation and cancer. (14)How do you know if you have a deficiency in Omega 3s?The only way to be sure is to get a blood test that tests your levels of Omega 3s, ideally including the ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6. Although this is unfortunately not a test commonly done by MDs (yet), it is available privately at a relatively low cost in many countries. If testing is not an option, second best would be to evaluate if you are consuming an optimal amount of Omega 3 fats, specifically EPA and DHA. If you do not eat oily fish several times a week, then having a suboptimal deficiency is certainly a possibility, if you also don’t supplement this important nutrient, especially if you consume a lot of vegetable oils in your diet. Why use Feel Younger® Omega 3 Fish Oil with EPA and DHA?There are many different omega-3 supplements available. Not all omega 3s are equal in their health providing benefits, and there are a few reasons for this:1. Many company’s Omega 3 supplements don’t contain enough EPA and DHA.Feel Younger Omega 3 has a high amount of DHA and EPA per serving. EPA and DHA are considered the most important omega-3 fatty acids. EPA is extremely important for mood health, reducing blood clotting, pain and swelling.   DHA is necessary for the functional development of the brain and is also linked to improved heart health, better vision, and reduced inflammatory response.2. Many other Omega 3 supplements have a bad ratio of EPA to DHABoth DHA and EPA can reduce inflammation. However, it has been shown that a greater ratio of EPA to DHA seems to address inflammatory risk factors more effectively. (16)  Feel Younger Omega-3 has a higher ratio of EPA to DHA per serving.3. Many dietary sources of omega 3s are contaminated with Mercury and PCBs and other supplements can expose you to vitamin A toxicity. (17)Feel Younger Omega-3 is sourced freshly from high quality anchovies. They have some of the highest amounts of these beneficial fatty acids of all fish and seafood and despite their size, are densely packed with nutrition. Anchovies are a purer source of omega 3s compared to larger species of fatty fish which contain higher levels of pollutants and toxins. Swordfish, ahi and bigeye tuna, marlin, shark, tilefish, king mackerel and other fatty fish all contain high levels of contaminants. These larger fish that are higher up the food chain, and have lived longer, have had more time to accumulate toxins and pose the greatest risk.Feel Younger Omega 3 Fish Oil has 2400mg’s of Fish Oil including 864 mg of EPA and 576 mg of DHA giving you a high amount of essential omega-3s free of heavy metals and a good ratio of EPA to DHA per serving in a high quality supplement. How do you take it?Ideally take with water alongside a meal, for maximum absorption, but can be taken any time, or as directed by a healthcare professional.Any cautions? (19)Though omega-3 supplements are generally considered safe, you should check with a healthcare professional before taking them. If you are allergic to fish or shellfish, seek advice from your healthcare professional first.Fish oil is likely safe for most people in doses of 5 grams or less daily (20).Fish oil might slow blood clotting. Would you like to: Reduce Stress & Anxiety Improve Brain Function & Memory Improve Athletic Performance Improve Heart Health Improve Your Sleep Reduce Inflammation Increase Antioxidant Activity If so, you may want to give our Organic Ashwagandha a try! It’s also thought to have positive effects on: Reducing blood sugar levels Weight loss Muscle growth Antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal & antiparasitic activity Mental health Reducing pain Reproductive health for men & women Improving immune response Improving gut health You can probably see why Ashwagandha is one of the most popular herbs in the world and has been so for over 1000 years! What is Ashwagandha and where does it come from?Native to Southeast Asia & India, the ashwagandha plant is a relatively small bush with yellow flowers.Scientifically known as Withania Somnifera, powders and extracts are created from the plant’s leaves and roots.Ashwagandha is classed as an adaptogen, which are substances used in herbal medicine that are considered to help the body deal with stress by mediating the stress response.Ashwagandha’s Traditional Use & HistoryRecords show that the Ayurvedic medicinal system highly regarded ashwagandha [1] as far as 6000 BC, and it is believed to play an integral role in naturally treating stress [2] and anxiety and improving cognitive function.Throughout time, ashwagandha has been mentioned in many mythologies and stories which describe its incredible properties.Indian kings used to regard ashwagandha as one of the reasons they were able to better rule the kingdom. In ancient Greek legends, Apollo gave the withania somnifera plant to the healer Aescalupius. How does Ashwagandha work?Ashwagandha features a wide range of active components, which include withanolides, saponins, terpenoids, flavonoids, phenols, resins and alkaloids. The most biologically active of these are withanolides (which are unique to ashwagandha and are steroid lactones). The most studied variation isWithaferin A.Withaferin A is an effective and powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant withanolide [3].Ashwagandha also contains sitoindosides, a group of antioxidant saponins which researchers believe may prevent cognitive defects and ease psychological stress [4].Ashwagandha has been shown to have many benefits, some of which include: Reducing stress & anxiety by helping to control mediators of stress while reducing the activityof the HPA (hypothalamic pituitary adrenal) axis [5] Improving brain function & memory [6] Improving athletic performance by potentially enhancing oxygen and strength use whileexercising [7] Improving heart health by reducing blood pressure and cholesterol [8] Improving sleep due to the triethylene glycol that can be found in its leaves [9] People mainly use Ashwagandha to: Reduce Stress & AnxietyAshwagandha’s ability to potentially help reduce stress and anxiety is probably the most common and well known use, which led to its classification as an adaptogen.A double-blind, randomized and placebo-controlled study on healthy adults appeared to show that ashwagandha helped control mediators of stress, such as cortisol, the stress activated JNK-1 protein (c-Jun N-terminal protein kinase) and Hsp70 (heart shock proteins) [10].It also appeared to reduce activity of the HPA axis (a system that regulates stress response) [11].A different study on 60 people showed that taking 240 mg doses of ashwagandha extract daily for 60 days significantly reduced their anxieties (against those who took placebos) [12].Increase Athletic Performance & EnduranceVarious studies have shown that ashwagandha can have positive impacts on athletic performance.Analysis of 12 studies on men and women who took daily ashwagandha doses suggested that physical performance was enhanced, which included increased strength and oxygen use during exercise [13].A 12 week trial on 49 athletic and healthy adults showed an improvement in endurance and self reported physical health [14].Another study conducted 8 weeks of supplementation of ashwagandha and measured the cardiorespiratory endurance in elite indian cyclists [15]. The same improvements were reported. The Addition of Black Pepper to Feel Younger® Organic Ashwagandha 1300mgThere are many reasons why taking ashwagandha with black pepper is beneficial, the main advantage being that taking black pepper makes Ashwagandha more bioavailable, meaning the Ashwagandha you take is better absorbed into your body’s cells, where it’s needed [16].Black pepper contains piperine, which has many benefits, such as: It can help to decrease inflammation by reducing cytokine levels that promote inflammation, while increasing cytokine levels thatreduce inflammation [17] It is a powerful antioxidant and acts directly as superoxide and hydroxyl which savage free radicals [18] Piperine can help to inhibit hormone-like fats (prostaglandins), which could help with diarrhoea [19] It can increase serotonin and dopamine (in the brain) which could improve cognitive function and mood [20] Black pepper can also increase muscle metabolism through increased ATPase activity. This may increase muscle energy use and aid weight loss [21] Why Try Feel Younger® Organic Ashwagandha 1300mg with Black Pepper? Our Organic ashwagandha is high quality, high purity, organic, gluten free, all natural, non GMO, sugar free, vegan and vegetarian friendly, hormone free, lactose free and contains no nasty fillers or binders. We use the highest quality black pepper, which is also Organic. We’ve taken the stress out of powder form supplements by producing our Organic ashwagandha into easy to swallow capsules. How do you take Feel Younger® Organic Ashwagandha 1300mg with Black Pepper?Take 2 capsules once a day, preferably 20-30 minutes before a meal.Any cautions? In rare cases, people may experience stomach discomfort, drowsiness and diarrhoea.ALWAYS consult a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements. Feel Younger Feel Younger - Probiotic 40 Billion + Matrek 60caps
Feel Younger - Radiant Vitamin C Skin Serum 60ml Feel Younger - Radiant Vitamin C Skin Serum 60ml
Feel Younger Feel Younger - Radiant Vitamin C Skin Serum 60ml
Feel Younger® 100% Radiant Vitamin C Skin Serum with Hyaluronic Acid can help you to… Have Young, Healthy and Radiantly Glowing Skin Have Skin that is more Elastic, Smoother, and Softer Feeling Keep Your Skin Hydrated and Moisturized Rid Your Skin of Acne and Irritation Be More Confident Why is it important to support your Skin? It’s incredibly important to keep the condition of your skin in good health for a variety of reasons, other than the most obvious: because healthy skin, hair and nails makes you look a lot better! Our skin is the largest organ of our body and protects us in many ways: Forms a barrier and protects our nerves, blood vessels, muscles and bones, as well as everything else inside our body, preventing bacteria and other foreign objects from getting inside Nerves on the skin are the reason we can feel. Without nerves, we would not know what is dangerous to our bodies and life (pain). Extreme temperatures are damaging to our bodies, and nerves help us to know what is too hot, or too cold and our skin helps regulate body temperature by sweating when we are too hot, and keeps valuable warmth in when it’s cold. Our skin protects us from ultraviolet light that damages cells.   Vitamin D is produced by healthy skin when directly exposed to the sun. Vitamin D is crucial for many bodily functions, such as regulating levels of phosphate and calcium in our body (that are crucial for healthy bones, muscles and teeth), as well as facilitating normal immune function. What Causes Unhealthy Skin? There are a variety of different factors that can contribute to poor skin health, such as: Poor Diet. For healthy skin, you need a variety of nutrients [1], vitamins and minerals… for example, Vitamin C is very important for creating collagen. Stress. Stress can adversely affect your skin in the way of acne outbreak, as well as advancing the aging in your skin - making you look older! [2] Dryness. If your skin is lacking moisture it can cause it to crack and break, creating an opening for harmful substances to enter our bodies. Not only that, it hurts! Overexposure to moisture. Excessive levels of moisture will cause your skin to prune (wrinkle) and soften, which leaves it more susceptible to damage.Too many long, hot showers can also dry your skin out and frequent contact with moisture or chemicals, such as cleaning products, washing up liquid or nail polish and remover. Smoking. Cigarette smoking and the causative effects it has on our skin has been studied heavily. Smoking affects several biophysical characteristics of the skin [3]. Popping pimples & picking scabs. Although it’s extremely tempting, you should never pop your pimples! When you do, it causes the skin to rupture, leaving a blemish.Scabs are formed over wounds (areas of the skin that are trying to heal themselves) to protect them. If you pick at scabs or remove them completely, especially too early - you increase the risk of scarring, as well as slowing down the wound healing process. Underlying conditions. Your skin can be the first to experience symptoms if there is something else going on in your body. How can you tell if your Skin is healthy, or if it needs some support?Your skin can show you that it’s unhappy in many different ways: Discoloration (hyperpigmentation) or dullness Itchiness Cracked or splits easily Moles growing in size Yellowing (jaundice) Wrinkles appear in places you wouldn’t expect Red patches (sometimes with scales - psoriasis) Hardening Acne All of these symptoms could be signs that there is something more serious going on inside your body.If you are worried about your skin, it’s best to speak to your physician to determine the best course of action. The top 8 ways to improve the health of your skinThere are a variety of different lifestyle changes you can make that will have a positive effect on your skin and overall health: Eat an organic, nutrient dense diet. A healthy diet full of the nutrients and antioxidants your body needs will help to bring back a youthful radiant glow to your skin. Reduce your stress. Meditation is a great way to reduce stress [4], and it can directly increase your skin resistance. You could also try supplementing with our 5 HTP, Serenity Anti-Stress Support, Saffron Pure Extract OR Organic Ashwagandha with Black Pepper supplements. Keep your skin hydrated and moisturized. In doing so, your skin will retain elasticity and will not break as easily. You can keep your skin hydrated by drinking at least 6-8 cups of water a day, and by applying natural oils and moisturizers.   Don’t get too wet! There are many household chores that cause our skin (especially our hands) to get too wet for prolonged periods of time. A classic example of this is washing up - wear gloves! You should also wear gloves when handling any chemicals or products that aren’t designed to go on our skin. This is because your skin will absorb the product, such as a cleaning spray, and that will have a negative impact on your liver trying to rid your body of the chemicals, as well as causing rashes (contact dermatitis) Quit smoking. Smoking is packed full of nasty chemicals that do our bodies no good. Nicotine (a chemical found in cigarettes and vapes) contributes and advances premature aging of the skin. It also constricts your blood vessels, which hinders your blood's ability to flow and carry vital nutrients to your skin [5]. Don’t pop your pimples or pick at scabs. When pores on your skin become clogged with excess oil and dead skin cells it can leave them vulnerable to infection by external bacteria and a pimple will form. This is your body's natural way of dealing with the bacteria, so leave it alone!Picking at pimples or scabs will leave blemishes (little scars) that will mark your skin, sometimes permanently! Underlying conditions. Rashes, discoloration and jaundice are all examples of underlying conditions that can show up in your skin, and it’s best to consult a physician as soon as possible. Support your skin with the nourishing nutrients and minerals it needs: Vitamin C - Vitamin C can’t be produced by the human body. We are one of the only mammals that can’t make its own. However, it’s an extremely important nutrient with many impressive health benefits. One of those benefits, that has been studied heavily, is the positive effects it has on our skin and collagen production [6]. Because it can help to boost collagen production, this may improve the tightness of skin.Vitamin C is moisturizing and can help in the treatment of acne [7]. It can also inhibit the production of melanin (melanin is a pigment that makes skin darker) [8] which can help dark spots to fade and give your skin an overall brightening.Vitamin C is also a powerful antioxidant and can act as an anti-inflammatory agent which can help to reduce puffiness in skin, as well as applying a soothing effect [9]. Its antioxidant activity also helps to protect your skin from the sun and its harmful UV radiation. It’s also believed that vitamin C can help relieve the darkness of bags under your eyes, as shown in a study evaluating the efficacy of 3 treatments (including vitamin C) [10].Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera). Aloe vera has moisturizing and anti-aging properties [11] and is very effective at soothing burns [12], can help to reduce acne [13] and also has an antiseptic effect.Methylsulfonylmethane. Also known as MSM, Methylsulfonylmethane can strengthen keratin to help improve skin health. It can also help by reducing inflammation and helping to prevent wrinkles and other forms of premature aging in the skin [14].Hamamelis Virginiana. Commonly goes by the name of witch hazel, this plant can help to reduce inflammation with its powerful anti-inflammatory properties [15].Witch hazel has been shown to help reduce skin inflammation and relieve facial skin irritation [16].Kosher Vegetable Glycerin. Glycerin has become extremely popular in skin products, because it possesses powerful moisturizing effects [17]. It can also provide a barrier to protect your skin from cold and windy weather [18], as well as helping to ease irritation and soothe your skin.Simmondsia Chinensis. Also known as Jojoba Oil - it’s waxy in nature and can create a soothing layer on the surface of your skin to help ease irritation. This layer of oil on your skin will also help to regulate sebum production in your facial hair follicles.Jojoba oil also contains vitamin E, which is a powerful antioxidant. A study found that applying antioxidants to skin helped to improve the synthesis of collagen [19].Introducing Feel Younger® 100% Radiant Vitamin C Skin Serum with Hyaluronic Acid 2oz By combining the ingredients listed above into an easy to apply skin serum - we’ve taken the stress out of researching and buying each of these ingredients separately, and then trying to mix them together into a “beard formula” you can use daily. Here at Feel younger, we believe in providing top quality products at reasonable prices and use only the best ingredients we can get our hands on.As well as the ingredients above, we’ve also added the following to our skin serum:Deionized Water, Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide, Carbomer, (2s)-2-Amino-5, Guanidinopentanoic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin, d-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E), Centella Asiatica, Equisetum Arvense, Pelargonium Graveolens and Taraxacum Offinale to further enhance the effects. How Do You Use Feel Younger® Radiant Vitamin C Skin Serum with Hyaluronic Acid 2ozWash and pat your skin dry before use.Apply a small amount to freshly cleansed and toned face, neck and decollete areas, avoiding direct contact with eyes.Give the serum some time to absorb before you use any other products on your skin.Any Cautions?Although extremely rare, the combination of ingredients found in this product may cause skin irritation or rashes. Saffron is used for its medicinal properties, as well as a seasoning in food and as a coloring agent for over 4 millennia. Over 90% of the world’s saffron supply comes from Iran [1].The Crocus sativus flower consists of thread-like, crimson-colored structures known as stigmas. It is these stigmas that are collected and dried to create the spice Saffron [2].Saffron is made up of a variety of chemical compounds that give rise to its taste, color and health benefits.Traditional UseSaffron tinctures and extracts have been used for centuries in traditional medicine [3].Some of these uses have been, eupeptic, emmenagogue, carminative, expectorant, antispasmodic, stomachic, sedative, stimulant, diaphoretic, and aphrodisiac. In ancient Egypt, saffron was believed to be used as treatment for various ailments. How does it work? The impressive chemical components of saffron are responsible for its medicinal properties.Saffron helps increase levels of proteins required for blood flow, healthy brain activity such as BDNF, VEGF, and phosphorylated CREB [4] and development. It also acts as an antioxidant by picking up free radicals that can cause damage to proteins and DNA in cells. Saffron inhibits the buildup of the amyloid-beta protein, which is the main cause of Alzheimer’s disease [5].Saffron also inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which raises the levels of acetylcholine in blood [6].Saffron mediates a lot of its therapeutic effects through crocin, which is converted to crocetin in the body, so it is more easily absorbed [7].Crocetin is thought to increase serotonin levels in the brain, which might explain Saffron's mood enhancing effects [8].Safranal is another of the main chemicals in saffron which [9]: Helps stimulate beta 2 receptors: Adrenergic receptors that increase blood flow and heart rate. Stimulation mimics the effects of noradrenaline and adrenaline. Inhibits histamine 1 receptors: Blocks the activity of histamine. Stimulates GABAa receptors: Mimics GABA, further increasing the brain-protective effects. Saffron also seems to have antiviral effects, which work by preventing the virus entry into cells and helps stop duplication [10].Additionally, Saffron can help with: Weight management by slowing down fat absorption and digestion, reducing calorie intake by lowering appetite [11], and improving glucose and fat utilization for energy Improving libido by acting as an aphrodisiac [12] People mainly use Saffron to: Lower Appetite & Manage WeightResearch has shown that saffron may help curb your appetite by preventing snacking.Women taking saffron supplements in an 8-week study snacked less frequently, lost significantly more weight than women in the placebo group and felt more full [13].In another 8-week study, saffron extract supplementation seemed to remarkably help reduce BMI, waist circumference, appetite and waist circumference [14].Elevate MoodSaffron extract may support elevated mood and mental health by increasing levels of norepinephrine and dopamine [15].Saffron contains crocin, which the body converts to crocetin. Crocetin is thought to increase serotonin levels in the brain [16] . A study that was conducted on 73 18-60 year olds who self-reported feelings of anxiety and/or stress and daily low mood showed that Saffron had a positive effect on their moods [17].Why Try Feel Younger® Saffron Pure Extract 88.5mg?Our Saffron Pure Extract capsules are high quality, high purity, all natural, vegan and vegetarian friendly, lactose free and do not contain any nasty binders. How do you take it?For best results, take one capsule twice a day 20-30 minutes before a meal.Any cautions?Should not be taken by pregnant or breastfeeding women.Although side effects are seldom seen with saffron supplementation, minor discomfort such as dry mouth, dizziness, nausea and headaches may occur. Some people may also show allergic reactions to the carotenoids found in saffron.ALWAYS consult a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements. It grows in waters on the rocky Atlantic coasts and is most commonly found between Europe and North America [1].Sea moss grows in a variety of colors, with numerous different shades of green, purple, red, brown, black, yellow and purple [2] - the most common being red which is commonly referred to as Irish Moss.Sea moss is a great source of iodine which is necessary to maintain a healthy thyroid [3].Sea moss (and other red seaweeds) are rich in antioxidants - compounds that help to protect your cells from oxidative damage [4].How was Sea Moss traditionally used?Irish moss was used as a “poverty food” during the Irish Potato Famine (1846-1848) because it’s particularly nutrient-dense.The strong association of Irish Moss with this particularly difficult time is one of the reasons that Sea Moss was largely ignored for many years after.Traditionally, Irish Moss was used as a cold remedy, and has also been recorded as far back as 1810 for respiratory ailments. It was also once used in the widespread treatment of pneumonia and tuberculosis. The Irish Moss health benefits were well known to the natives of Ireland, a long time before it was given a “Superfood” status.Ancient Irish tradition states that Irish Moss was carried for safety and protection and was also placed under rugs mainly for luck and wealth. In Venezuela it has been boiled in milk and served with honey for generations as a remedy to help ease chest infections and sore throats. How does Sea Moss help you?People use sea moss for its many health benefits. Sea moss is a fantastic source of minerals and vitamins - it contains 92 of the 102 minerals that the human body needs to function properly, as well as antioxidants that may benefit overall health.Seaweeds (especially brown) also contain sulfated polysaccharides, which are believed to have a myriad of health benefits [5].Some of the main potential benefits of using sea moss may include [6]: Sea Moss is rich in iodine, a micronutrient necessary for healthy thyroid function [7] A study on salmon found that seaweed supplementation helped to improve immune response and modulation [8]. Sea Moss is rich in antioxidants and immune-boosting nutrients, such as magnesium, phosphorus, zinc and iron. A study on rats found that a compound in seaweeds called fucoxanthin promoted fat metabolism [9]. Another study on pigs found that a different compound in seaweed, called alginate, seemed to prevent blood sugar spikes in pigs [10]. Other studies have also found seaweed to reduce bad (LDL) cholesterol while acting as a blood thinner, which may help reduce the risk of heart problems [11]. Irish Moss is also a great source of potassium chloride which has both anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties. Potassium chloride also has antiviral and antimicrobial agents, which can help you drain mucus from your body Sea Moss (and other seaweeds) are one of the best plant sources of omega-3 fatty acids which are essential for health - especially the heart & cardiovascular system What is Bladderwrack?Bladderwrack, scientifically known as Fucus vesiculosus [12], is another type of seaweed (brown in color) and mainly grows along the coastlines of the North and Baltic Seas, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and can also be found in various waters in the US & Canada [13].Rich in vitamins, minerals, such as calcium, iodine, magnesium, potassium, sodium, zinc, and vitamins A and C [14] and antioxidants, many people believe that bladderwrack’s impressive nutrient profile can give many health benefits.Historically, those who lived near the sea had relatively low rates of thyroid problems, due to their iodine rich diet, which included seaweeds.2000 years ago, Greek Physician Dioscorides mentioned Bladderwrack in his “De Materia Medica”, where he recommended it for inflammation and “gouty afflictions”.Traditional medicinal practices have used it for centuries to treat an array of conditions, such as iodine deficiency, obesity, joint pain, aging skin, digestive issues, urinary tract infection, and thyroid dysfunction. In the early 1800’s. Bladderwrack was found to have a high iodine content and became widely used as treatment for goiter (a swollen neck because of large thyroid glands).By the 1860’s, Bladderwrack was also being used to counteract obesity by speeding up metabolism. Why is Bladderwrack Beneficial?Bladderwrack contains Fucoidan - a complex sulfated polysaccharide.Fucoidan seems to possess many different potential health benefits such as: Anti-Inflammatory High levels of Iodine (vital for Thyroid health) A two-phase study that featured a separate control group applied bladderwrack extract to skin samples which led to an increase in collagen production [15]. Bladderwrack also contains lots of phytochemicals - a compound found in plants that has health promoting benefits. Some of these include fucoxanthin and phlorotannins which may help lower oxidative stress [16] What is Burdock Root?Burdock is scientifically known as Arctium lappa - a plant native to Europe and Asia. It now also grows in the United StatesResearchers have uncovered many potential health benefits of burdock root [17].Burdock Root’s potential health benefits were recorded in “The Compendium of Materia Medica” from the Ming Dynasty.Traditional Chinese medicine refers to it as‘Niubang” [18] and often used Burdock to help treat flu, cold and other chest and throat infections.Burdock Root has also been used traditionally for Gastrointestinal tract problems, kidney problems, gout, catarrh, infections, lymphatic system relief, fever, blood purification, skin problems, rheumatism, stomach issues, constipation, and fluid retention. In the 12th Century, Ancient herbalists such as Hildegard of Bingen recognized Burdock’s healing powers. Why use Burdock?Burdock has many potential health benefits that stem from its anti-inflammatory, diabetic support, and microbe-fighting properties [19].The lignans and flavonoids found in burdock root are believed to be responsible for many of the potential health benefits [20]: Burdock might be beneficial for people with diabetes by stimulating insulin production, while lowering leptin. Leptin is commonly thought to help trigger weight loss… However, Leptin is actually high in people with obesity, who often become leptin resistant. In such cases, lowering leptin is good [21]. Burdock root is also thought to block the enzyme that breaks down elastin, the protein that gives the skin elasticity [22]. Would you like… Improved Energy Levels Reduced Stress and Anxiety Reduced chance of Pernicious Anemia Improved Mood Improved Bone Health To Restore Normal Red Blood Cell & Hemoglobin Count If so, you may want to give our Sublingual B Complex, Vitamin B12 1200mcg Drops a try! This formula can potentially also give you a whole host of additional benefits, such as: Improved Cognition, Brain Function & Memory Migraine Prevention Better Joint Health Improved Skin & Nail Health Support Healthy Cholesterol Levels Reduced Blood Pressure Better Skin Health Better Eye Health Ease Morning Sickness & Nausea What is Vitamin B12 and where does it come from?Known as cobalamin [1] and sometimes referred to as a “painkiller vitamin”, vitamin B12 cannot be produced by our bodies, but is essential for a variety of functions and processes.Primarily stored in the liver [2], vitamin b12 can be sourced from animal foods such as poultry, meat, fish, dairy products and eggs, as well as being available in supplement forms.Cobalamin is best known for the role it plays in cardiovascular support, energy metabolism and red blood cell & DNA production [3].Discovered at Merck & Co (pharmaceutical company) by Karl Folkeres (director of Merck research) cobalamin was first isolated by Folkers and his team in 1945 when they were able to produce bright red, tiny crystals of the vitamin.Once isolated, they tested the crystals on an anemic (not enough red blood cells in the body) patient, who made a full recovery.Scientists later discovered that vitamin B12 was an important growth factor for animals, which led to vitamin rich diets in farming and an increase in livestock yields. In the 1950s some countries also used cobalamin as a “Painkiller Vitamin” [4].How does it work? There are many benefits to taking vitamin B12, such as: Preventing & helping with anemia. When you’re deficient in cobalamin your red blood cell count will be lower than normal (anemia) [5] because it’s needed in erythropoiesis (formation of red blood cells) [6]. Better bone health. B12 also plays a crucial part in DNA synthesis, providing strength and integrity to chromosomes. DNA is found in every cell in our bodies, including our bones [7]. Better energy levels. B vitamins play a crucial part in energy production in your body, and being deficient in B12 is likely to cause fatigue [8]. If you are deficient in B12, you’ll likely experience a surge of energy, taking you both to the days of your youth! Improved mood. A study showed that severe depression was twice as likely in those who were deficient in vitamin B12 [9]. Improved brain function & cognition. Brain atrophy is caused by a loss of neurons and can lead to memory loss or degenerative problems, such as Alzheimer's. Being deficient in cobalamin has been linked to this loss of neurons [10]. Reduced risk of macular degeneration & heart problems. The macula is a part of the eye that helps to process what you are looking at. When optimal (or adequate) levels of cobalamin are present in the body, it keeps homocysteine (an amino acid in your blood) levels in check.   High homocysteine levels have been linked to an increased risk of macular degeneration [11] with age, and also increased risk of heart problems [12].Vitamin B2Otherwise known as riboflavin, vitamin B2 can help to prevent migraines, bone loss and cataracts, while improving mood and helping to boost the immune system.First discovered in 1872 by Alexander Wynter Blyth (an English chemist) as a pigment in milk that was fluorescent [13], it wasn’t until the 1930’s that it was distinguished to be riboflavin. As with all vitamins, riboflavin cannot be made in the body, but can be found in foods like milk, yogurt, cheese, eggs, almonds, fortified cereals and spinach, as well as meats such as beef & pork organs, chicken and salmon.Studies have shown that an increased intake of riboflavin significantly decreases the risk of age related cataracts [14].Studies have also shown B2 to be effective in migraine prevention [15].Much like B12, even marginal deficiency in riboflavin has been linked with depression [16] and worse bone health [17]Vitamin B3Vitamin B3, or niacin, was first isolated in 1912 by Casimir Funk (Polish-American chemist) while he was actually trying to cure a disease caused by a deficiency of vitamin B1 (beriberi).Used in a variety of different processes throughout the body, niacin is essential for the heart, gut, brain, skin and much more.Niacin can help to improve cholesterol levels by increasing LDL (bad) cholesterol and decreasing HDL (bad cholesterol) [18].Vitamin B3 is extremely important for its role in obtaining energy from foods that you ingest [19].Vitamin B6First discovered in 1934, pyridoxine (vitamin B6) was first isolated in 1938 by Samuel Lepovsky at the University of California.Another B vitamin that plays crucial roles in many processes in the body - B6 can affect sleep, mood, mental health, inflammation, pain, digestion and more.Studies have shown that people with depression have low pyridoxine levels, and B6 can help to reduce anxiety for them [20].It can also help to increase melatonin (sleep hormone) secretion in the pineal gland, as shown in a study of 120 children [21].B6 is effective at significantly reducing symptoms of morning sickness [22].Vitamin B5Otherwise known as pantothenic acid - vitamin B5 was first discovered by Dr. R J Williams in 1933.Again, a B vitamin that is heavily involved in a variety of different bodily functions. From helping to convert food into energy, to being extremely important for the gastrointestinal, nervous and immune systems [23].A randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study showed that vitamin B5 supplementation reduced acne after 12 weeks [24].What makes Feel Younger® Sublingual B Complex, Vitamin B12 1200mcg Drops different from other B Vitamin Products? As you can see, there are many benefits to taking the B vitamins we have listed above, and that’s why we decided to include them, along with a strong dose of B12 in our Sublingual B Complex B12 1200 mcg drops. But why use our Sublingual Vitamin B12 Formula with B Complex?Firstly, because our B Vitamin formula is sublingual (applied under the tongue), the nutrients that your body needs can enter your bloodstream directly, without having to go through your gastrointestinal tract. This means that the vitamins won’t be broken down by stomach acid, and they are released quickly into the body and you’ll feel the effects sooner, and with greater efficacy.Secondly, for this product we only use the best, most expensive, and most highly absorbed forms of B Vitamins, which are most easily assimilated by the body, but which unfortunately most supplement manufacturers don’t use, as they cost significantly more than the cheaper, less well absorbed versions. For instance, for Vitamin B12, we use Methylcobalamin, which is the most bioavailable form of cobalamin. It is also the natural form of B12, as opposed to cyanocobalamin, which is a synthetic form of B12 made in a lab and needs to be converted to methylcobalamin in the body - taking up valuable energy from other bodily processes. For Riboflavin, we use Riboflavin 5 Phosphate, which is a more bioavailable form of B2 - meaning it is more easily absorbed and available for your body to use, and therefore its effect is more powerful than taking standard riboflavin. Our Sublingual B Complex uses niacinamide, because this form of niacin is safer, as it doesn’t give you the ‘Flush’ that the other forms of Niacin do…which many people find unpleasant. Our B5 - D-calcium pantothenic acid is a more stable form of B5 which is easily broken down by the body into pantothenic acid.Thirdly, this formula is also antibiotic free, gluten free, sugar free, vegan and vegetarian friendly, corn free, hormone free, lactose free and contains no nasty binders. How Do You Take Feel Younger® Sublingual B Complex, Vitamin B12 1200mcg DropsShake well before using.Place 1 ml (full dropper) under your tongue and hold for 20 seconds before swallowing.Any Cautions? In very rare cases, people may experience headaches, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or weakness or a tingling sensation in the hands and feet. Not intended for use by people under the age of 18 years old.ALWAYS consult a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements. Wholefood Colostrum Capsules 90 count - 500 mg capsules (Immune Tree)

Ok I love colostrum and the immune tree are brilliant for me ! I spend an awful lot on supplements but I always have my immune tree colostrum and it definitely improves my immune system , I suffer from Addison's ( major and total adrenal insufficiency) I don't produce any of my own cortisol and it's exhausting even with replacing with hydrocortisone as it's a fixed dose three times daily and not my body regulating the dose. However since I began to take colostrum every day I have indeed noticed some increase in stamina and definitely improved immunity. I'd highly recommend this colostrum to any one and everyone wanting that extra boost for the immune system.
